Inexpensive gift for coffee/tea/coco lovers!

I had to give my co-workers gifts on Wednesday, and what I came up with went over really well, so I thought I'd share!

We had a limit of $10 per person and it had to be Christmas themed. I had 3 people to buy for.

So I decided to make a "Mug of Christmas Cheer" since all three of them enjoy coffee!

At Target, I bought 3 snowmen mugs for $1 each. Then I got three 1 pot sample bag of Ghiradeli Mint Chocolate coffee for $1 each, a box of pepermint tea ($1 for the whole box, split between 3 mugs) a box of instant hot coco packets ($1 for the whole box, 1 packet per mug with the leftovers for ME to enjoy! ) $1 for a box of candy canes (2 per mug, left overs donated to my dad) $4 for a box of 4 mini Christmas ornamates (one per mug), and 3 $5 gift certs to Starbucks. Total spent: $28, that comes to $9.33 per mug!

I put coffee, tea, coco, and candy canes in the mug, hung the ornamate and the gift cert (that came in a cute little bag!) from the candy canes, and wraped each one in Christmas tisue paper and ribon.

To recap, per person it's:

1 Christms mug
1 sample coffee
1 packet hot coco
3 pepermint tea packets
2 candy canes
1 mini ornamate
1 $5 Starbucks (or other coffee shop) gift cert

Our Walmart has $1.00 packs of coffee...I'm not sure what kind it is though. I am getting one of my fellow school bus drivers the same type of gift with a mug, the coffee, some Andes mints and I wasn't sure what else I could put in it, but now I have a few more ideas

Barnies has really good cocoa for $1.00 per pack. It makes one cup. I bought a packet of the Santa's White Christmas cocoa a couple of months ago and it is yummy!

Man! You must have a good Target! I really loved this idea since I'll have 8 people at school to buy for. Our store didn't have any mugs or coffee packs for $1 I guess I'll look elsewhere. Our Dollar Tree actually had some decent looking mugs, but they weren't Christmassy.

Just wanted to update!

I did this for my fellow Kindergarten teachers and all the assistants. Since that equalled 8 people, I was so excited when I saw this idea. I got pretty cute mugs at Dollar Tree (chose plain ones over the Christmas ones so they can enjoy them year round.) Inside the mugs I put hot cocoa, a pack of cappuccino, candy canes, andes mints, peppermint tea, apricot tea, and green tea (for the major tea lovers I put less coffee and cocoa and more tea.) Then I wrapped them with purple plastic wrap and tied them with ribbon. They looked pretty cute and they were a big hit. So I just wanted to say THANK YOU, OP!!!!!

The Ghiardelli mint chocolate coffee is very strong! As long as you like strong coffee, it is good.
