Our family will be at WDW August 2021 celebrating my daughter's high school graduation. We'll be staying at the Poly and doing a VIP tour. I just recently decided to fly in a day before our Polynesian stay and stay at hotel near WDW because on our 1st official day of vacation we'll be going to MK and I don't want to be exhausted on our first day. The plan is to fly in stay at a relatively nice hotel for one night, eat and relax before we hit the parks for 7 days.

Any recommendations on nice, but inexpensive hotels no more than 15 minutes from the Poly?

Thanks in advance!:tink:

What do you consider inexpensive? I don’t know of a place, but might help people recommend a place.

Also, have you considered doing a less expensive Disney resort for that one day? I would think by that time they would be able to transfer your luggage for you so you wouldn’t have to worry about it and could get an early start for MK if you like to rope drop.

I would suggest just staying at a Disney value resort. (If open by then any of the All Stars). You could take the Magical Express (if you would like) to the resort and in the morning have Bell Services transfer your luggage to the Poly.

we have stayed at the Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway, near the Crossroads Shopping Center, about 5-10 minutes to Disney Springs.

We've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, about 10 minutes to DS. Both times we paid between 84.00 and 94.00 dollars for a party of2.

If you're planning to take DME from the airport, you might as well stay at a Disney resort. They make it very easy to change resorts. Just give your luggage to bell services when you check out and they'll transfer it to the Poly. You would just have to book one way DME transfers for each of your Disney resort reservations. I'd choose a Disney hotel somewhat closer to the park we intend to visit in the morning.

If you have a late arriving flight, I'd stay at the Hyatt right inside MCO. It is literally steps away from where you exit the secure area of the airport. We've had rooms that actually overlook the terminal and can watch people entering the airport security line. It is very convenient for late night arrivals or early departures. It was a Godsend when our evening flight was delayed due to T-storms along the east coast. Instead of arriving at 11 pm, we didn't arrive until 2 am. So glad we could stagger to our room. I would only choose the Hyatt if the flight is due to arrive after 7 or 8 pm.

I don't know how inexpensive it is but in 2018 we stayed in the hotel inside MCO. My folks and I had flown in from a trip to Scotland. My folks were going on home the next day and I had a Disney stay booked. The hotel in the airport was wonderful. Literally we grabbed our luggage and took an elevator and we were in our room in minutes. The next morning we had a leisurally wake up, my folks went and checked in and dumped thier luggage first thing in the morning and then just hung in the room until pretty close to the flight (we kept an eye on security) and got through in minutes, then I just grabbed the Magical express after I saw them off. It was so nice not to have to do a quick turnaround with mutlitple ubers/taxis (which honestly once you add that price in made the airport room just as good of a deal) and it was great knowing we didn't have to rush.

I can vouch for B Resort. We stayed there a couple of times for quick trips and they are always reasonable and really nice. Plus they have busses that run like every 30 minutes to the parks.

Even though we usually drive to the parks, it was nice to have the buses when we wanted to do a little adult beverage action.

Right now all the hilton brand hotels are cheaper than normal.

During non COVID times, Quality in at the Parks (5 min from Animal Kingdom) and Rosen Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista are real good value and cheap.
