Individual pins vs. general public offer- are dates usually the same?

I got a pin in the mail today for free dining for fall. We had made plans for a trip during my daughter's fall break in October, and went ahead and booked flights during SW's sale last week. I was hoping for free dining, but the week we planned to be there falls between the October weeks listed in the pin offer. If the free dining is offered to the public later on, do you think the dates might be different? Just wondering whether to try and change everything now, or wait and hope.

Not necessarily in my experience - I was sent a mailing telling me to look out for a PIN and it had the exact dates 9/14-9/20 (and those dates only) of the vacation I had priced and saved online. We then changed our dates online because Sept wasn't going to work for us.

We got the follow-up mailing with the PIN as promised but I was bummed because I thought they would be the September dates but they weren't, they had also changed to my new online dates of 12/7 - 12/13.

The PIN was stay play and dine - got free QS Dining.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It all depends on what & when Disney needs to fill up rooms.
For mid-October, because of conferences, etc., that's usually blacked out.

I'm hoping some of the dates are a bit different but no one will know until Disney releases something for the general public.

I think last year they were pretty much the same, but Disney did change a couple dates after awhile of the GP discount being out. I guess they were getting too many people taking advantage of checking in way early for Christmas and getting the discount!
