Indianapolis DIS Meet - Come One Come All!

Bunchkin - the Fishers/NE area is closer to the meet, I'm guessing a hotel from that area will put you right off of 69 between 82nd street and 116th somewhere which is about 5 miles from where the meet is. Keystone/Carmel is also nice though, and that would be about 10 - 12 miles from the meet (just guessing). Either one is one would be great. Both have malls close by if that's important to you - Keystone is more upscale but the Castleton mall (Fishers/NE area) has a Disney Store.

There are a few hotels in the Noblesville area, but I might be more inclined to stay in the Fishers/Castleton area. There are some nice hotels right off of I-69 at the 96th Street exit. There is a brand new mall (no Disney Store though) off of exit 10, but no hotels yet. There's an AWESOME movie theater right there with an IMAX screen. The Castleton mall has the Disney Store and that's down on 82nd Street. There are some hotels in the Carmel/Keystone area also...there's the Fashion Mall which is more upscale, but there is a Cheesecake Factory there too!

That's super if you could make it. What Jennz and Scarlett both said are right on! The hotels just off of 96th st. and I-69 would be closer to the meet site. The hotels at Keystone at the Crossing are a little larger and have more shopping and dining choices. One of those locations would definately suit your needs. Let us know if you want specific hotel names. I believe there is a Holiday Inn Express at 96th and I-69 that is nice and convenient.

I'm so sad! Well, maybe not *that * sad.. I'd love to meet other disers from Indy!! DH and I will be on a long-awaited adults only trip to Disney over that weekend to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Bummer...I hope you all have a GREAT time!!

If you'll be in WDW that weekend, you might try to catch calypso*a*go-go's "Have a Dole Whip for Bawb" meet at Aloha Isle @2pm (Aug 30).

If you look at the BAWB/Dole Whip tribute thread in the podcast forum, calypso's signature shows this date/time. You could PM her or post there... We hope to "link" the Indy meet with the Aloha Isle meet perhaps by phone...

I'm not sure how many folks will be in chat that night discussing trip planning. It won't be just us Indy meet DISers.

If you've never used chat before the screen can move rather quickly. Make sure your chat screen is full screen. It helps with reading the text.

Also, the chat room closes automatically at 10:30PM.

Another thing that helps is finding the "Options" button at the top of the chat window once logged in, then selecting "display speaker and message in a single line." This effectively cuts the speed in half.

Unfortunatly, we won't be able to make it now.
Like most things around here plans have changed....already.
Since it's closing in on the end of summer, we are trying to get some activities squeezed into the calendar. We are taking DS to the new Lego Discovery Center on the 30th and taking DD to one of the last performances at the American Girl Place theatre that weekend too.


I appreciate all your help though! And I'll keep an eye out for plans for next year's meet!! I love meets!!

We just went to AG Place in July and I'm so glad we decided to go to the theatre. It was awesome!!! I'm so sad that they're closing it.

There will be no charge to the folks attending the meet for the facility. All we ask is you bring a pitch-in item.

There maybe some events during the meet which might require money. Those plans are still being made. Your participation will be optional.
