A couple of announcements as we draw closer to the meet.

> The time of the meet has been posted. 2:00PM until 7:00PM. We have the space all day so I believe we can stay later if enough people are interested.

> Once you know what you can bring to the meet for your pitch-in item please let me know and I will update the intial post with the information.

> Also, if any of you are interested I thought we could jump in the chat room on Tuesday night August 5th from 9:00PM until 10:00 or 10:30PM to discuss planning for the meet. The chat room will be open to discuss trip planning, but I don't think it will be a problem discussing our meet. Click on the chat link above and login to participate.

Count our family in for this ... sounds like great fun!!!

There will be 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 DD (2)(15)(17).

This will help us maintain our sanity until our trip in September!

We will definately bring something, but not sure what yet, will post when we know!

I'm a regular Chicago meet DISer. In fact I've planned quite a few of them.

I'm considering joining in on the fun with all you Indiana DISers at your meet.....that is if you'll have another Chicago area DISer!

Can anyone give me info on hotels in the area?
I was looking at Hotwire for a hotel near the meet location and they have the surrounding area broken down. But not knowing the areas listed I'm not sure what is best. I was looking at staying in the Keystone/Carmel or Fishers/NE Indianapolis area. What do you all think of either of those??
Any help you could give would be great.


If I do go, it will probably be myself, DD 10 and DS 6. DH will probably be working.
And we would for sure pitch-in anywhere we can!!

That would be cool, Nicole!! Hope you can make it!! The Indy meets have always been good, and this one is looking like a BIG one, like some of the old Chicago meets.

I go there to Indy most every year for the Nationals (NHRA) and have stayed a number of times along 465 on the north end of town. Several times near Carmel. This time I am staying at the Keystone Sheraton, using some points along with cash. That is on the north end of 465 also. I have not really even looked as to where the meet is, other than I know it is around Indy somewhere, LOL. Actually, looking at a Google map, I would say I have stayed in the Castleton area most often, and the 465/431 area.
