Something that may interest some of you that will be there next week

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be hosting many special events at the upcoming Star Wars celebration - Last Tour to Endor party next month (click here for more information). One of the special events on August 14th will be a one night only performance of the Indiana Jones show. In the show the two worlds of Indiana Jones and Star Wars collide in a show entitled “Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of ‘Epic’ Proportions.” Details of the show are being kept a secret but here’s a look at what has been revealed so far.

Star Wars AND Indiana Jones together!

The potential for awesomeness is just too strong for my fanboy mind to take!! :scared1:

Lol, I know people from the UK Garrison of the 501st costuming group who were there. They said it was amazing, but just about everyone I spoke to felt that they'd been misled because although billed as 'the last tour to endor' the ride was continuing until the first week of September.

My hubby's in the 501st and would love to go for the Star Wars weekends.

We arrive 19th September and both hubby and DS10 are gutted Star Tours won't be on :sad2:

I'm gutted about Star Tours as well for my upcoming visit, but the rumours are that the new ride is really going to be next-gen awesome, so I'll just have to remember that it will be worth it eventually! :thumbsup2
Why oh why they have never built a Star Wars 'land' is beyond me though. Such a cash cow if they built a Cantina and more rides, similar to the level theming/immersion that Universal have done with Harry Potter. A (fan)boy can only dream I guess!;)

There is a rumour that they are going to build more SW stuff. However, there are lots of rumours about lots of things, so I'll believe it when I see it.

Dh has seriously considered joining the 501st, but he's got too much on with his website (jedinews.co.uk) to spare the time.

You'll just have to plan another trip for when the new Star Tours opens.

Cool website. DH was just up at collectorama in Glasgow and managed to organise an impromptu photo op with Kenny Baker, Paul Blake & Danny John Jules (Red Dwarf).

I love Danny John Jules  He did a sci-fi event that dh helped to organise in Harlow (Essex) last year. Really nice chap to talk to.
