Indiana Jones: and the Pre-Trip of Doom!! PICs!!

I don't know if this Pre-Trip report is doomed, I guess we'll have to see! I'm a big fan of Indiana Jones so I TRIED to find a title that was catchy. I'm praying I'll be able to be in the "Indiana Jones Show" as an extra. I'm finally old enough!! Please tell me if I've succeeded or not. This is my first pre-trip ever! I hope I can make it interesting and not boring. Here it goes...
Well, I guess I should start at the beginning. I am the second child in a family of six (including my parents). We are all BIG fans of WDW and Disney in general. I've been to WDW 4 times but the first time I went I was barely a year old. So the Mickey Mouse Memory of that trip is a little foggy. But thankfully my wonderful parents refreshed my memory before it was too late. We went in 2002 and from then on I was hooked. And the worst part is there was not a thing I could do about it. But I'm still happy. We all went back in 2005 and in 2006. I told you I was hooked, line and sinker. Anyway we are going back again this year in September!!! But this time we are going with the Free Dining Plan. I've never gone on that before and I am soooo excited. Heres some pics of our trip in 2006, some may be of 2005.


Here is one in AK. One of the men pulled my DSis, DDad, (their not pictured) and I out of the crowd and made us start dancing, and I mean dancing!! I was so embarressed! I'm the one all the way on the right in the black jacket and jeans.

I have to post one with "Indiana Jones"!! O.K. I know he's not the real IJ. But I truly doubt I'll ever meet Harrison Ford! Well, its in MGM. I'm holding my "Prince Charming", and thats my other 2 sisters!! Oh, and this is one of my favorite shows!!

Hi everyone I'm back!!!

I really excited about going to Disney during "The Year of a Million Dreams" celebration! It seems so wonderful and I sure we will have a wonderful time. I'm going at the end of the free DDP and I'm hoping it will be a little cooler that usual. I know its Florida and it rarely "cool", but hey, I can dream!! I'm a southern girl so I know what hot means!! Do any of you live in FL? If so could you tell me how hot it usually is? Anyway, we will be celebrating two birthdays while we are there. My Mom and my sisters. We won't be there on their b-days but it will be close.
Oh, back to YOAMD! I don't know what I would do if we won something!! If it was the Cinderella Castle Suite I know I would be a basket case the entire time. I mean I was almost crying when I watched Disney's vacation DVD and they talked about it! In our family we have around 48 chances! I mean thats pretty big isn't it? Oh, I know its not but like I said, "I can DREAM!" My family will be wearing matching shirts, partly so we can keep up with each other. It really is a great idea. But one time someone asked if they could take a picture of us (when we were at Disney)! It was kind of funny! Anyway back to the point, I'm hoping it will get us some attention from the CMs. But I would be happy with a free mickey ear ice cream! By then I'll be able to have them. I'm trying to cut back on the sweets. (Yeah right!) Whenever I think about it I usually go get some cookies or a big bowl of ice cream and I then the diet goes right out of my mind! And whats worse, I make cakes to sell! Now if that isn't temptation. But I have yet to sell one with a bite taken out of it!!!! I may post a pic of one.

Well, I'm back to ramble a little bit more.
My family and I don't have a great plan for every minute we will be at WDW. But I think if we did we wouldn't follow it anyway!! ( I love those Smilies! ) I mean being at WDW is about being a kid again, so why follow a schedule? I know schedules are really good and I might even make one anyway! I change my mind alot as you an tell!!
I'm looking forward to the trip so much. And being in a family of six the trip always makes its way into our conversations everyday. And our family consisting of mostly girls we are all planning on what we are going to wear and what we are bringing...etc. Like I mentioned before we will all be wearing matching shirts. My Dad and little brother refuse to wear pink on the days us girls are. Actually he refuses to wear pink at all. He and DBro will probably wear red or something. I don't like the attention that sometimes comes with doing it but hey, I get to have almost a whole new wardrobe!! And I can find my family easily when we are in a crowded place!
We'll be staying ten days and nine nights. I never been to WDW for that long. We usually stayed about five days, I don't remember staying longer than that. So staying longer combined with the free DDP, and YOAMD its going to be a completely new experience. But I will not be looking forward to the long drive. We don't have to drive as long as some but its still a while. I wish I could fly but we aren't sure about that yet. Please post if you will be going at the end of September!! We may end up going on the same days!

Oh, and thank you Kathy for posting!!!! Its so nice to know that someone is actually reading what I post! Sorry, I can't make cakes fat-free, how I wish I could!! Then maybe I wouldn't feel so guilty when I eat them! And as for the trip, I'm 100% sure its going to be very fattening!! (sigh) I can't wait!!

Hi everyone!!
I want to thank everyone who has posted on here. This is the first board I've ever been a member of. So its really exciting to know that someone is actually listening or would it be reading? Anyway thanks again! Please post and tell me if anyone will be at POP at the end of September! I know some people from the board are trying to organize a party on the 22nd. They are calling it the Glow party. If you look around on the board you would probably find it. I don't know if we will be going or or not.
This is a story that I think is funny, I don't know if you will!
Anyway back to Disney. I think it was when we went in 2005 and we were in the Worlds at Epcot. My family and I was waiting to go inside the American show or something like that. I don't know if any of you have been there but they have a big fountain right outside. And my very active little DBro was running around outside, he was about 2 1/2 years old. He had been cooped up in the stroller all day and he was ready to run! So we were outside enjoying the cool breeze (it was in January) and watching the people as they passed. I like to do things like that! And all of a sudden I heard a loud SPLASH!! I think you know what happened next!! I turned around and there my DBro was soaking WET in the fountain!! He was crying so the first thing I thought ws "Is he alright?" Once I realized he was okay I burst into laughter!! Our entire family did. He didn't think it was too funny because he was still in the fountain dripping wet and cold. I picked him up and set him down. When I took off his shoes water spilled out, just like in the movies!! One of the CM saw the whole thing and trying, I mean trying to hold back her laughter she brought us to the gift shop and picked up a T-shirt and handed it to us. She was so nice! I can't even remember her name but she made the situation so much better. Because we didn't bring him a change of clothes. So my DM and I went to change him. At this point I'm still laughing. People kept giving us odd looks wondering what we must have done to our poor child. I'm sure he loved the attention he got from it. But you would think him having a near death experience he would stay away from fountains. We went downtown one time and paused for a picture and before Mom stapped it he hopped into the fountain that was much bigger than the last one. But he loved it!! And I love him too!
So that was one of our Disney stories! I'll try to think of some more.
But in the meantime here is some more pics!!

These are the singers that entertain you before the Beauty and the Beast show. They were really good, they sing acapella! They could be a show in itself.

This is pumpkins that WDW grew on site. They are actually much bigger than they look in the pic.

Hi everyone!!! I'm back!
I know I haven't posted in a while so I need to do some catching up.
But today was my grandmothers birthday!!
We have 35 days until our Dream Disney Vacation!! I'm so excited and its still more than a month away. But time passes so quickly I know it will be here soon. My sister is the one who is doing all the planning and ADRs so I finally got the schedule. Its not minute by minute more like day by day. We don't really do minute by minute. So here is our schedule so far:

We will leave on the night of the 21st of Sept. and hopefully check into POP at around 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. on the 22nd. Hopefully! Then we'll head to Downtown Disney and eat at Planet Hollywood. Those ribs look so good! Yummm! We'll hang around DTD and I will buy all the stores out! I would be happy about that but my checkbook would not!! We might go swimming at the hotel. So anyone let us know if any of ya'll will be there and we may be able to meet!! Then I will go to the hotel and sleep my little heart out!(sigh) I LOVE sleeping!!

On Sept. 23 we will head to the parks for our first day! Yeah!! Magic Kingdom is our destination! And we are going to Pecas Bills for lunch then head to the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. We are going to take pictures of our food and I will post them where ever they belong here on the DIS Board.

On a little side note here: If you ever go to Disney and you are cruising around Orlando and you see all those cool little booths on the side of the rode selling dirt cheap tickets. DO NOT BUY THEM!!! We made that awful mistake when we went last time in 2006. My little brother didn't have a ticket for some reason (can't remember why). So we bought one from one of the cute little shacks. And we head to the Happiest Place on Earth and he puts his cute little ticket in and you guessed it. It DID NOT work. It said all the days were used up. So we couldn't go into the park without my little brother. My Dad was NOT happy and we had to go back to that cute little scamming schack and get our money back. So please don't go to any of those. I talked to someone who lives there and thay said the police arrest those people almost every day. I know that was a long side note but heed my wise warning!!

On Sept. 24 we will be going to MGM (my favorite!!). We will go in when ever the park opens and eat lunch at Backlot Express then eat dinner at 50's Prime Time. I hope I can remember what color the soap is in the bathroom. And I plan on being in the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular!!! I'm going to be and extra, I hope! But the Rockin' Roller Coaster will be closed!! I can't believe it. I'm still in shock!

On Sept. 25 we will be going to Epcot. I love Mission Space!! Wow, what a thrill!! Lunch will be at Sunshine Seasons, I think? I'm not sure yet. Dinner will be ate San Angel Inn in Mexico. I love mexican food!!

On Sept. 26 we will be heading to Animal Kingdom!! Aladar is so cute! We'll be having lunch at Flame Tree BBQ. The after the park closes we will be going to Boatwrights. But I can't remember what hotel thats in. Like I said my sister handles all of this stuff!!

I'm going to have to finish the other half later. We are suppose to meet some friends for dinner!! But I will include some pictures.

We made this countdown with paint chips from Home Depot. We are now on day 35. I know, I told you I was trying to catch up!

This is me. I made my cousins 1st birthday cake. It was also my first tiered cake and I was so nervous but it stood!

And here is my little bro. His 5th birthday was last Saturday and we had a great time.(And I made his cake too) Its Lightning McQueen!!

Well thats just about it for now. Are any of you going to watch High School Musical 2. I'm not sure if I will. If you do tell what you think of it!!!
