When could we see this finally come to WDW??? I hope like in 2007. But most people don't want it because it's the same exact clone of Animal Kingdom's DINOSAUR.

Actually I bet most people DO want it because everything i've heard is that Dinosaur is nowhere near as good as DL's Indy ride

I would love to see it at WDW and DS would too. Big Indy Jones fans here.

My DB and I are also big "Indiana Jones" fans. We've heard about the ride in DL, and can't wait for it to come to WDW! Hopefully, Disney will decide to include it (with FastPass, of course!). I think it would be a great addition to Disney-MGM, right by the stunt show!

:)

I would love to have the Indiana Jones ride come to WDW. As far as it being like Dinosaur, just think about all of the rides in Fantasyland over the years. The all had different theming but were pretty much the same setup. The Indiana Jones ride is long overdue. It would be great if it were in WDw by July 2007, so that I can enjoy it on my honeymoon.

Maybe they could just give us an Indiana Jones 3D/4D movie attraction... :rotfl2:

Where would it go...Studios with the stunt show, Studios and get rid of the stunt show or a different park?

i know the thought of this is terrible but i figure that the great movie ride has the best building for indy but i would hate to see the great movie ride go. I think they should tear down the stunt show and build the ride there since the new car stunt show is starting to take over the indy show.

I've been on both and I don't really prefer one over the other. I do however prefer them both ofer the Indy Stunt Show. Bring on the Indy ride. I have also been on the Indy Roller Coaster at DLP and they can keep it, pretty lame.

Not to be a wet blanket, but would Disney really invest that much money in an *old* franchise?? I love Indy, but my kids think it's pretty lame, and they (not me) are the target audience.

The only way I think it would be worth the investment would be if they re-tooled a current ride (like Dinosaur) to lower the cost. I always thought the Indiana Jones theme would fit right in at AK. JMHO

well they keep saying theyre making a NEW Indy movie...

After riding both Indy and Dinosaur I have to admit I prefer Indy and wish it was here in FL. But would also hate to see the stunt show go away to bring it here. People have said the Studios doesn't need two stunt shows but they are differant enough that they should both be able to remain, and remain popular.

Yep.

I love the Indy ride at DL, but I'd have to say that Dinosaur is better. It's a lot more intense and exciting.

Actually, in theory you're both the target audience, as Disney provides "family" entertainment.

It is true though that lately their new attractions have been more targeted to specific groups.

I have no idea if they have any plans to clone it, but even if the franchise is old the attraction is still very popular at DL. Regardless of what your kids think of the movies, I'm pretty sure they would find this attraction exciting. (There's always an exception of course...)

But most people don't want it because it's the same exact clone of Animal Kingdom's DINOSAUR.
As Mickey76 said, its only a clone in the sense that the Fantasyland dark rides are clones of each other, or even the various 3D movies.

Besides, while I'm against cloning rides between DLR and WDW, its obvious Disney management is not against it at all.

If it were up to me, which of course its not, I would consider using the same ride mech in the creation of a new attraction that matches or exceeds Indy in scope, but wouldn't be a clone at all.

While "National Treasury" is nowhere near "franchise" status it was a very good action flick ala the Indy series. If a sequel is produced of equal or better quality then possibly an Indy type ride based on this Nick Cage series could be a nice addition to MGM.

I don't have too much of an issue with cloning. I'll probably never visit France again so I'd never get to experience Lites,Motors,Action. I loved Soarin at DCA but that trip was more then likely a one time event for me whereas WDW is a multi trips per year fixture in my life.

I really think they should use the momentum of Indy IV, if it ever comes out, to either rework the Indiana Jones stunt show, and/or add a new Indy ride.

A clone of the DL ride would be really great; I've never been on it. What I've always dreamed of, however, is to have Disney create an Indiana Jones rollercoaster themed on the mine car ride in Temple of Doom. If done right, and I know Disney would, it would be an amazing attraction. I can dream can't I...

I had heard recently that if the Lights, Motors, Action Show at MGM is a huge hit, the Indiana Jones stunt show would be replaced with the ride like at Disneyland. I also heard that the right would be placed in the existing location of the stunt show. :earsboy:

Wow, you're totally right. I just checked out the DL Paris website. Very cool. I never knew that they had created something like this; I hope they'll bring something like it to MGM.

Anyone out there been on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril?
