Great Pic's we stayed on Indian Creek same three weeks as yourself could not believe the amount of empty and up for sale villas we wondered if this was the same in the other resorts , seems to be still plenty of villas being built still,I hope there is enough tourists to fill them all![]()
We backed onto the new road although there was a little construction noise in all it was not too bad !
Did try the fishing lake just over the bridge as there was fishing rods provided in villa , we then found we could not get the kids away from it as they were catching good size fish with ease they seemed to prefer that to the parks ! wish we had known before buying all them tickets![]()

Wandering OT... the Pacifica you rented - from the pic it looks more like a midsize SUV (sort of freelander/rav4 but with the length of an estate car) - would you say it's as tall (and shares the driving position) as an SUV or just a slightly bulky estate? I know Dollar quote it as a Premium grade car as opposed to SUV, so it's got me wondering!

A little OT I know, but the hire car is of interest to me as we have been wondering what we will get from Virgin/Dollar on the LH rate. Can you tell me something about that Chrysler Pacifica please, because it looks just the size I need for two adults, two teenagers and four to five suitcases.
Thanks.
jna said:Our car is from the grade below the one you hired Johnny. I'm printing off the details of the Pacifica because whatever the overall size of our chosen car (a Chrysler Concorde [size of a Vauxall Omege] or similar according to Virgin) I'm still worried that it won't accomodate luggage for four people. At least with the Pacifica it looks like you can stack cases higher than in a normal boot.
We have a journey of over 100 miles each way to Clearwater to consider as well, not just a short trip from MCO to I-Drive. I'm not keen for safety reasons on having a case in with us on a seat because it won't fit in the boot.
We've actually come to the conclusion that we will take what we are given at the desk, and if, when we go to collect it in the multi-storey car park, we have trouble loading it, we will just have to look around there and then at better options and go back to the desk and upgrade. It'll be a nuisance and dreadfully time consuming but I think we have to do it.

Just that the grade below is 'full size' which means a Dodge Magnum or Ford Taurus, unless you have the 'Luxury' (one above Premium) class?
If you are renting a full size, there is no way you will fit all the cases in the boot - however I think your idea above is a good one and they will change your car if you need to.
jna said:Well, yes I guess so, as Virgin refer to Dollar on their website. We've paid in full now. I can foresee problems if we attempt to upgrade at this stage so I'd rather leave the booking alone.
I've just had a look at Dollar's own website. After what you have just said about boot space I'm now thinking along the lines of going for the upgrade to the Premium (Pacifica) at first call at the hire desk rather than seeing what the 'full size' is like and then having to unwind the deal afterwards.
Did you have to ask specifically for a Pacifica at the desk? The words 'or similar' bother me. I don't want to end up with a posher version of the 'full size' but no additional luggage space.
Oh for a nice Volvo estate. I don't own one but I know I'd get everything in with space to spare!
