It's time for the semi-annual Disney/Pixar "guess the box office" contest.
Tell us your guess on the opening weekend take and the total take through the New Years Eve weekend.
Prizes include:
Third Prize: Framed photo of construction workers hauling Sleeping Beauty's castle back to Anaheim;
Second Prize: Certified copy of Pixar-Disney Co-Production Agreement, autographed with annotations by DancingBear; and
First Prize: Official St. Louis Cardinals World Series Champion 2004 Commemorative Baseball Cap, autographed by Bretsyboo.
I'll say $62 million opening, $205 through NYE.
I forgot to add the results of our 'Home on the Range' contest, where our abysmally low projections actually were optimistic! (Home did $13.9m opening weekend, and an unbelievably low $48m total---and was--gasp!-- out of the top 20 by May 23rd!)
Third prize, went to WDSearcher, who won the personal tour of New Hampshire from our friend, Jim Hill, including a behind the scenes look at how New Hampshire was not in the running for any Disney parks, and a five minute presentation on the contributions New Hampshirites have made to the Disney Animation Legacy;
Second prize went to WDWHound and JLambrig, who will have to share the collection of bottles containing water from each water ride at WDW,
And the winner, or rather loser, of the 'Home on the Range' contest? Three losers! AirLarry!, Bob O, and Randy Tenn all predicted a $14m opening, and will fight over the autographed copy of Michael Ei$ner's new book, "My Life Lessons from Central Park."
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD GUESSING!
