Took the Doorway to Dreams tour in Roosevelt Field Mall today. They pushed BLT. Normally 120 a point now 110 a point. Plus that will front/match a years points. Loved seeing the room models and our kids had a blast in the kids room. Still trying to decide if it is for us.
It did not matter what point level just as long as it was BLT.
I am calling the Doorway to Dreams this morning. They don't open until 11a. I am going to find out if this is indeed true. I want to purchase 60 pts. and haven't been able to find my UY on resales. I'll post back what the incentives are. Can I buy from there if I live in MD?
This OP has given out the wrong information. I spoke with a guide from the Doorway to Dreams in NY today. Incentives for BLT...50-99 $6/off per point. 100 pts. $8.00/pt. If you were to buy 100 pts. at GCV...$10/pt off. 200 pts. at BLT gets you $10/pt. off. I wish these posters would get their facts straight before coming on here and giving out wrong information. So nothing different than what is being offered at the moment thru WDW.
This is what is referred to in the timeshare industry as "Weasel Speak" -- timeshare salesman double-talk and half-truth. They are not giving you anything.Plus that will front/match a years points.
In fairness, it was not the OP who posted that info. This OP has given out the wrong information. ... I wish these posters would get their facts straight before coming on here and giving out wrong information.

If you buy an August, September, October, or December Use Year (there is no November UY), you are purchasing during the 2009 UY because Aug, Sep, Oct, etc. are not here yet. The points they imply they are giving you are 2009 points that you are entitled to anyway -- not a gift at all.
What they are giving you that is of some value is the ability to bank those 2009 points into your 2010 UY. But you are not getting something for nothing -- nor are you getting a special price.
If you really want to buy BLT -- AND if an Aug, Sep, Oct or Dec UY works well for you (which it may not if you vacation primarily during the summer) -- the BLT "deal" is an okay deal.
If you don't want to buy BLT, or don't care, you should research further, including resale which is likely to save you a BUNCH of money.
You can get $12 off per point if you purchase over 250 at BLT. Just purchased 400 more two weeks ago. With last declaration, 86% full is what guide told me.
Right...if I remember wdrl's latest number, there was 80-something declared, but only about 60% sold. The declaration has to be done before they can sell. BLT is not 86% sold however.
You don't understand Use Year.Ehh this isn't 100% accurate. I get what you are saying, but with that said. I recently purchased with a UY of Aug and got 09's points. My contract is for 50 years and has 50 years worth of membership dues in it. But I am getting 51 years worth of points because I got the extra 09 points.
To clarify, declaring means designating points as being available for owner points reservations. As stated, units have to be "designated" before those units can be sold to future owners. The declaration has to be done before they can sell. BLT is not 86% sold however.
