Incentives for 100 pt purchase

We are closing this Saturday and have been told the only incentive is $8 off per point to be used towards the downpayment and no referral incentive. Does anyone know of anything else? Nothing also from the disney chase credit card.

I got a flyer from Disney in the mail advertising AKV 100 point buy with $8 pp incentive plus $500 referal gift card and $500 visa gift card.

If you bought from Disney you should have received the following incentive:
1) Reduced $500 down payment
2) matching developer points to be used at SSR, DL, II
3) $8 off per point ($96)
4) Disney Visa gift card ($500 for every 100 pts that you buy)
5) If you bought AKV, 2008 plus 2009 points with no MF's due till May 2009.

This depends on your UY. Some UYs are already "sold out" In order to get '08 UY points you may have to waitlist for those points. We had to waitlist for June UY points. We received them in less than 2 days!

The current deal (which is valid thru Sept. 20th) is for the incentives that pinnocchiosdad listed. Go over those with your guide.

Of course there is a catch. The AKV building you are buying into will not open until May 2009.
Unlike when you buy the 160 pt package you get 160 bonus points to use now. With the 100 point package you do not get any bonus points.
I was told I could not make a reservation until after May.

ok i read that you get developers points to use at ssr. I need to call back. I did not get that offer in the mail but read about it.

If they do not honor that offer they are about to loose a sale to The TimeShare store.

The current offer for ADD-ONs does in fact include matching developer points (which I assume is what you are reffing to as bonus points.) You are correct that you can not use your AKV (Kidani) points until the resort is opened in May 2009. You can use your developer points immediately and probably would want to use them ASAP because they are only a good for 1 year from your purchase date.

I think the original poster is talking about the 100 pt initial buy in not an add on, you will get the incentives with the add on, incentives don't kick in until 160 pts with an initial buy in

This is correct. I called about the incentives for a NEW MEMBER to buy in 100 points at AKV. The ONLY incentive I was eligible for was the $8/pp "discount". I have a DVC referral...nope, no $500 gift card for me. I have a Disney Visa...nope, nada for that either. Developer's points at SSR?....Nope, only for those who can afford 160 points minimum. I bought a 100 point resale with all 2008 points available instead and saved myself about $100, but I have 100 points that I can actually USE now!

Tozzie, you are correct. This is our first purchase into dvc. I was told by a "senior representative" from dvc that what we are getting is the only incentive they have right now for 100 point new purchase (the $8 off per point and the $500 downpayment). He also said that the 100 point minimum purchase would expire pretty soon, as that was only a "summer special".
We will aslo get 100 points for 2008, as they had only 69,000 points left for purchase for 2008 (as of last saturday), then they will start with 2009 points then.

The incentives that I received where for an additional 110 point add on to an existing 160 point contract at SSR. I received the $8 per point discount, $500Visa credit (even though I am Canadian and don't have a Disney Chase Visa card....not available to us...have been told that I will be able to use it regardless), 110 developers points to use at SSR (this will compensate us until our 110 load in 2009) deferred maintenace fee until May 2009 (Kindani official opening date) and a downpayment of $500. Don't know if this helps or not....not sure what was happening with new purchases.

You can make reservations now, but the reservation must have an arrival date after MAY 1st, 2009.
