Incentives and new pricing winter/spring 2025

Would you say the PIT theme park view is the best TP view of MK of all the MK resorts? Views matter to me too 😀

Having stayed at BLT and VGF with theme park views, by opinion is the Poly Tower theme park view is the best. But, two things:

- I own at Poly Tower and I'm in the honeymoon phase of all the points I bought there in the last 4 months. That's not really fair.
- I was in a 2bdrm villa at the western corner of Riviera with the most amazing view of the July 4th fireworks at Epcot last year. I don't know how to do it, but I wish I could book that room again because it felt like we were in the show; best overall fireworks view/show I've ever had.

Man now I have a reason for wanting to stay at PIT, thank you! I have seen pictures and I thought wow that view looks beautiful

The big unknown for me is whether these theme park view rooms will be readily available at seven months. At this point, they are not, but I wonder if that’s because it’s the brand new property on the block.

If I can get into a theme park view at seven months I won’t worry about buying PIT.

I think what we are seeing is because they have not declared too many rooms and you have all points from original PVB eligible during home resorts.

Until we get a bigger balance of declared rooms against points, I think 7 months will be difficult.

That's a good point. I had forgotten only a small portion of the rooms has been declared. OTOH only a small percentage of the points have been sold too, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Did your guide get back to you? I am confused on the Welcome Home stay myself and was going to reach out when I had a chance.
Yes he told me they would book a welcome home stay for me for the direct points I purchased only, not resale and dependent on availability, but they definetely can do more than i can at this point. I gave him three resort choices I wanted and he's actually looking into it right now to see if he can put a hold on the dates I'm going in September because my resale hasn't kicked in yet so I am waiting to buy direct. Not sure if he can do that while I'm waiting to even become a member but he's trying.

What makes Poly TP view better than BLT? We own at VGF and I would expect it to be inferior because there are no towers, but isn’t BLT much closer to MK than PolyT?

For me, the BLT view is always challenged by the parking lot... it's just not relaxing to see cars parked below me while looking at MK. From the Poly Tower, the lake and its boats are more relaxing when I'm sitting on the patio veranda sipping coffee in the morning. Of course, BLT's TP view of the fireworks is tremendous, but Poly offers 80% of that fireworks view with a much better view the rest of the day.

I'm at BLT in May in a grand villa with a preferred view - which I expect will be of Bay Lake on the opposite side of MK. Hoping to see Epcot and/or HS fireworks at night and the lake view to enjoy the rest of the day.

Except with PVB tower, all PVB points can book the tower so the same balance that exists with points sold against declared insist the same.

Normally only new points go with new inventory. So, even if only a certain % of tower points are sold, there are a lot more points sold that get to book them before 7 months.

Anyone gone for the member update recently? They still just offering the cross body bag for attending?(i just got the call to schedule one). I won't bother if it isn't a gift that we want.

Yeah, the super, super, super cheap backpack that no one ever uses. At least, that's what it was in December. And the "Member Updates" have gotten a little more sales pushy.

We got the DVC (plastic) water bottle when attending a group update at the DS lounge in December. One per party, not per member...

Presentation consisted mostly of a video/slideshow. Took about 30 minutes. I wouldn't make a special trip to DS for that. But if you're there anyway and planning on going to the lounge to relax, then might as well get that bottle.

You can register in advance, but the salespeople kind of offered us the presentation again as walk-ins when we walked in and asked to go to the lounge again in February. We declined, but that invitation may not have materialized formally anyway once they guy with the iPad pulled up our Magicband info and saw we were there just a few weeks earlier.

Predictions for April 28th incentives guys, better or worse than now? 🤔😀

I'd suspect many potential buyers are suffering from a (negative) "wealth effect"

Unless the stock market recovers in the next few weeks (lots of time for it to go either way till April 28), I would say it has to better incentives, or they will have a terrible summer of sales.
