I made our shore exc reservations this morning for SCUBA diving in GCY adn COZ. These excursions provide all equipment with no cost reduction for brining oyur own. I will still bring our own as I am oft times leary of rental gear. DCL does not know who the dive operators are.

Gary and Vicki, and anyone else, we will plan a get together at WL or somewhere the closer we get.

Need to establish a common location for sail away, bubble blowing, wine tasting, looney acting, fun loving, bon voyage whatever. Between the two stacks was the original plan but since the incident on the Magic today there may be only one?

Have we a day/night for the wine & cheese party? We can all order from room service and bring to a common area on the ship? Deck 7 aft would be good for starters? I am easy.....

for the sail away party the port side above the goofy pool (deck 10) works well as you are able to see the band and merrymaking on deck 9 and also the CMs as they bid us farewell. if anyone else has any other suggestions please post them.
I am planning to bring the little party size bottles of bubbles. I will plan to have enough for the group. Haven't been to our craft store lately that is were I found them for the last cruise.

DH is in charge of the shirts and he said... If you email him your home address he can mail them to you (if they are completed in time) otherwise he will have alternate plan. Our email address is goose@provide.net

Yes Joe we received your mail/check. You would also look nice with the heart around your picture but I cannot remember how I did it. I think it was an option of the program.

Docs probobly will not be arriving for a few weeks yet. usually 2-3 weeks before departure. Please don't start bugging the fed-ex man yet. He will bring them I promise, I hope, maybe? of course he will, won't he?

Hey guys,
In case you didn't see the thread on this, there was a small fire in the aft stack of the Magic yesterday morning. The Orlando Sentinel reports that the damage was not extensive, and the ship will continue as scheduled on its current and future cruises. That's good news! Must've been interesting gathering at the lifeboat stations with vests on at 5:30 AM--a good reason to take that drill seriously, I guess. At least as seriously as the Boone's Farm party afterwards ;>

I'm not sure which side it is I just want to overlook the DCL terminal. (right side facing forward/front of the ship) It is kind of neat to see them with the Mickey gloves as they wave soooo looong but where ever we are it won't make a big difference as long as it is on board. The first time I saw the ship it was from the ground as it was pulling out - - -

We have had too much OJ(?) here? What is 0530? Old timers thing, I had an appointment with Govorkian but I think he was locked up in MI? Have to wait 3 more years now, good thing Vicki is bringing in more than he is sending off

WE HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THE HALF PRICE CRUISE OFFER WHEN YOU GET OFF THE SHIP. AS A MATTER OF FACT THIS MAY 11 CRUISE IS ONE OF THOSE DEALS - I THINK THEY MIGHT HAVE MADE A MISTAKE ON THEM ONE.

WHEN WE GOT OFF THE SHIP TWO WEEKS AGO WE BOOKED FOR FEBRUARY 2003 - IT WILL BE OUR 30TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.

IT IS KIND OF LIKE THE PARKS - I DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL I HAVE A RESERVATION SAYING I AM COMING BACK - I AM THE SAME WAY WITH THE CRUISE NOW - I WILL NOT GO HOME UNTIL I KNOW I AM COMING BACK.

Green Bouncy dude will bounce about 4,579,200 times from the 53 day mark. Ok I was bored this morning.

Cruise chat was good, everybody was ready to go. Robin has the bar keys.

Computer is working but not fixed, will replace the hard drive next week. I am hoping not to loose too much data. Dell service has been pretty good, with the extended on site stuff.

Lynn is starting to play with the new camera.

Starting to get info from the Key West Chamber of Commerce.

How is everyone. I can't beleive it. The cruise is not that far way. I have already started buying little stuff for the cruise. It is very cool. I started my daughter in swimming lessons so she would be able to snorkel with us on the cruise.

I'm keeping it short for now...Gonna be a busy day.

Yes the quarrys are pretty cold this time of year. We have a 96 degree warm spring that makes open water dives pretty comfy.

You could do a refferal in GCY and COZ. Or fly to SLC and meet me for your open waters 3/30-31.

On my docs it says we will be in Cozumel from 10:30AM until 11PM. While this could change I see on the Cozumel Tour description page that you meet at 9:45AM for Tulum and Xcaret tours. Does this mean you get first shot at a ferry? Or will we be there earlier? How exciting

Here is a first hand report of the fire incident aboard the Magic. I cut and pasted it here in case it got too far down the list.

I just returned home from the 3/9 Magic and let me tell you..it was quite the adventure. Everything was positively "magical" until about 4:15 a.m. on Thursday morning. I was traveling with my wife and our 5 year old son and I had just gone to the bathroom and was lying awake when a brief announcement came over the PA system about "Red Team." My wife, who had been also lying awake noticed my taking deep breaths as if to smell something and she asked me if I smelled something burning. I told her that I did. Within a few moments, the Captain came on the PA system and announced that they were investigating reports of a fire in the "funnel" but that no further action was required of anyone. At this point my wife and I started to get a little nervous because we could definitely smell burning plastic/metal. We both got up and got dressed and waited. A few minutes later, the Captain again came on the PA system and told us that as a precaution they would be evacuating a small number of aft staterooms. Our stateroom was 6600 which is very near the aft elevators so we were really nervous. I grabbed our passports and cash and within a few minutes the general alarm sounded and we were all told to respond to our assembly stations with our life jackets on. My 5 year old suddenly woke up, rolled out of bed and yelled "Fire Drill Fire Drill" and immediately was telling my wife and I to get him dressed and to get our life jacket on....

We assembled on Deck 4 "O" station by 4:30 a.m. and we were not released until about 6:30 a.m. There was extensive damage to the rear smokestack with a lot of burning and melting. The Mickey pool and Pluto's Pup was closed the rest of the trip but they opened the crew pool for adults and the other pools became open to everyone.

I must say that the crew and the Captain performed magnificently. They got the fire out and handled the crisis wonderfully. Everyone was very tired (and the incessant listings of events on the PA system didn't help us all try and get some sleep). Originally, the Captain had indicated that because of the fire we would be delayed by about 1 hour or more in to Castaway Cay but he made up the time overnight and we got there right on time.

It was quite touching right before the Variety Show last night when the Captain came out onstage to thank us all and we gave him a standing ovation for 10 minutes.

Another nice surprise was a letter we all got yesterday afternoon from the President of Disney Cruise Lines thanking us all for our patience and telling us that we would all be given a $100 onboard credit as a thank you.

All in all...a great cruise and a great crew!! We have already booked another 7 day cruise (Western this time) for April 2003.

Way to go Disney!

We got docs, lots of docs here in NJ.
They specialize in almost everything....OB, Peds, GP, Ortho.....

Really only got the "official excursion info". Guess DCL figured since you were in FL then you could wait a day till everyone else got theirs? This way on the return everything would be even?

Why am I up at this time of the day? Was just thinking about how many more times the "Magic" will leave the "doc" before we are on it? Hint: rhymes with "heaven" (ans. 7), much better than how many days Scott or bouncyman counter

Ok back to bed, Gosh you would think this place is addictive.......
