I will not need anything at the start but will need dry clothing at the end.

Just went for a run and had one of my best one. I went .3 farther in the same amount of time that I did 2 days ago. Very excited. Shaved off 45 seconds per mile on my pace! Must be the cooler weather![]()
Add to this I kind of went at a whim. I just had eaten a Happy Meal 20 min prior so my tummy was pretty full and I did quite well.
Glad the weather has broke, it's making running a bit more fun again!
Did my 9 miler this Sunday and my knee is still sore. Supposed to do 4.5 tonight . . . do I do it, and see if the uncomfortableness goes away? I have to do 10 this Sunday to stay on schedule. Higdon's Half Intermediate Plan has no taper!
Does anyone have any idea how the relay handoff is going to work? I can't imagine the logistics of trying to find your partner when everyone is running at different paces, etc.
and maybe some bath wipes&deodorant![]()
Ok, I began this thread after signing up the very first day...and I am happy to return! lol
All I can say is I have been busy with 2 teenagers and a preschooler and my focus has not been on myself.
So I am going to go back and catch up!
Hi Everyone!! (I guess I should have started with that.....
I am not a runner, but hope to do a walk/run/jog/walk plan....most recent walk was 7 miles in 98 min..roughly 14 minutes a mile...
My first 1/2....with roughly 7 weeks left to event....
I did read abt how Disney Endurance "discourages" headphones, but if I dont have my playlist going on my Sansa......yikes! lol
Cant wait to read what everyone has been up to here![]()
First not sure what sore is or how it is sore. A safe play is to go through the day and see how your knee feels after a full day of motion. If you can, ice is a couple times during the day. Pain/sore is hard to describe long distance but if you are worried because of the level of pain pre-run then scratch the run. Better to rest another day and pick up training later. If you feel no pain then head out for the run.
It's not a real definitive answer but you will know this PM what you should do.
How long has the knee hurt?
How old are the shoes?
Do you do any leg workouts?
Does the knee hurt all the time? more when heading down stairs?
Where is the hurt?
I was hoping you would respond!
I am going to skip tonight and hopefully head out early in the morning before work (even though I dread morning runs...lol!)
My knee only really started to hurt during the last couple miles of my 9 mile long run on Sunday...the furthest distance I have done since last January.
My shoes are about a week or 2 old. I guess it could be them?
It hurts when going down stairs the most but are also noticeably "there" after sitting for any period of time.
This is the knee I have had 3 surgeries on - but reconstruction was a good 10 years ago and no substantial pain (other than the basic arthritic kind) since then.
Training is OK here - up to 28 miles per week, still with a long run of 10. I have a 5k and a 10 mile race this weekend.
Glad to have you back, thank you so much for starting this thread![]()
I know Disney says they discourage it, but I hope its not a big deal cause I have to have my ipod playing - especially with some disney music on itMost races I have participated in have this disclaimer and really just want you to be aware of whats going on around you, hope thats disney's take on it too!!
