Inaugural 3/31/12 Fantasy Cruise

Do we need a mini DIS Navigator? John and I will volunteer if the organizers of the events will send us details. The mini Navigator we did for the 2011 WBTA could be printed out or downloaded to your iPhone, Android etc.

Let us know!!

I personally think that would be AWESOME!! My brain is swimming with all the info going on!

hi there, my mom will be with us on the cruise (she is single and 63); she wanted me to ask the dis forum whether there will be other single 60's on the ship that might want someone to hang out with sometimes? I guess she doesn't want to have to follow us around the whole time lol and is hoping for some company more her speed. :drive:

My mom is also coming with us. She is single and 65 :)

Love that idea :) was just thinking how I REALLY need to update all my when and wheres lol

THANK YOU!

I will try to put together something in the next week for people to preview. If any of the organizers can either PM me or send me an email at nbirkner@yahoo.com with details, it would be great!

Maybe it's just me but I don't seem to see the connection with Mariah Carey and the Disney Fantasy....at least with the Dream...Jennifer Hudson got her start on DCL and starred in DREAM Girls....the only connection I see is that she is married to Nick Cannon and he is associated with Disney....I sure hope DCL gives us an explanation....

Now really, Kid. Does it matter?
I mean it's a bright new shiny ship with all the kewl things to See and do.
Plus you get to hang out with friends, new and old. It is still the same ship no matter who the godmother is.

I am more worried about how many trips we have to make to the gift shops and how many different plastic purses will be available.:goodvibes

There is also a Geocaching group and training session

After reading about those who got their room assignments from GTY, I checked on ours. Yep, we have a cabin number now. Nope, no upgrade. Sorta.
They gave us cabin 2507. Quite roomy. Here is a video of the same room on the Dream >>Cabin 2507

We are not doing the Fish Extender this time, so maybe it does not matter, but how do I get the cabin number on the roster without doing another whole entry?

Hi, I'm not on your cruise, so I hope you don't mind me butting in here. I'm going to be on the June 23 wetern cruise.

I was wondering if you already have information about the nightly show schedule on the Fantasy, when the formal/semi-formal/pirate nights will be, and what the dining rotations will be.

Thanks.
Aaron

I don't know about the shows, but formal is night 2, pirate is night 4 and semi formal is night 6.

Looks like a nice room. Lots of room to move around for you.

I'll add it. :)

The port days will probably be different. The person who asked needs to check their reservation online for the info.

There are many more things in the works than mentioned above, both before and during the cruise. I have spent the past week going through the Facebook posts since Christmas and have organized them by day in a google doc, which should be able to be saved by anyone on any device or printed out.
Maiden Voyage Mini Activity Sheet

I have also altered the activity spreadsheet on the Facebook page replacing real names by DIS IDs so that information is not published on a public site. It can be found at the following link. Maiden Voyage Mini Activity Chart

Lisa, thanks for the activity sheet. Its super helpful.

I have a question for the group... Do we know if our MV sailing will be at full capacity?

I seem to recall that the Dream didn't have all 4,000 on her MV. Does anyone know if we're going out full on the 31st since DCL is now used to 4,000 and the growing pains are less.

Thanks, E.

I was wondering the same thing, E. I remember the Dream's MV being about 2/3 capacity and am hoping that is the same for us honestly.

according to Port Activities on my ressie and also info from shoreside concierge services Pirate Nite is night 5 (Costa Maya) nite and semi formal is nite 6 'at sea' nite.

I just looked on line and it shows one cat still open. But when I went in like I was going to book that cat it said nothing was available. So I think we are very close to capacity.

Easter Egg Hunt Update

There are currently 35 kids ages 2-13 signed up for the egg hunt. Everyone who has signed up so far is on Facebook, so details will be posted there. All are invited to join. Kids 9 and under will actually have an egg hunt on Thursday afternoon. Kids 10 and over will do a video scavenger hunt for a prize at the end. PM me if your child is interested in participating. You just need to bring 12 filled eggs per child, and a prize for kids 10 and over to receive.

All the cabins might be sold, but many of them will have less than the maximum passengers in them. I think it will be like the Dream MV, with around 3000 passengers with a lot less kids than a normal cruise.

The price of the MV will keep newbies and families from booking an MV. The Dream MV was pretty much kid free and mostly Golds/Plats cruising. We did a Dream B2B on the MV and the following cruise was SO much different in cruisers. I bet the kid/newbie ratio jumped to like 50%.

I would expect almost the same for the Fantasy MV but the next cruise (the old MV date) kept the same high price so, i wouldn't expect more kids/newbies until the 3rd/4th cruise.

Good point I did not think about that.
