Inaugural 3/31/12 Fantasy Cruise

Well our baby got her champaigne bath today and the coverage really sucked. DCL did a terrible job.

Maybe it's just me but I don't seem to see the connection with Mariah Carey and the Disney Fantasy....at least with the Dream...Jennifer Hudson got her start on DCL and starred in DREAM Girls....the only connection I see is that she is married to Nick Cannon and he is associated with Disney....I sure hope DCL gives us an explanation....

I wouldn't hold my breath for that. She has kids who will want to go to WDW. That's about it.

Ok everyone. We are going to have our dis meet at outlook lounge on deck 14 at 3 pm on march 31st. I hope to see everyone there.

Not sure what Jon is planning but this might be a good place to get our lanyards. People have said that because the terminal will be so crowded it might not be a good place to distribute them.

Hello All,

Haven't been on the boards much lately. Work has been keeping me busy, this is the time of year we do alot of training and maintenance work getting ready for the next season.

Hope all is well with everyone.

As for the lanyard distribution we will be handing them out at the DIS meet on board. For those that can't make it we'll drop them off at the staterooms or you can try to find us at the sailaway party. I will be posting an updated list to verify the information is correct.

Thanks,
Jon

Hi everybody! I just wanted to let everyone know I sent out the latest FE list. There is one more late sign up on the list. This will also be the final late sign up :thumbsup2

Hello Ladies & Gents,

Can you help me out so that I can be sure I have everything on our cruise agenda correctly?

Thus far, I have the following scheduled activities:

Day 1 (Sat 3/31) - Embark Disboard Meet @ 3pm, deck 14 (Includes lanyard distribution)

Day 2 (Sun 4/1) - At Sea Day Pink Champagne Girls Meet in afternoon. Time & location: TBD

Day 3 (Mon 4/2) - Grand Cayman Island (Captain Marvin's snorkel group)

Day 4 (Tue 4/3) - Cozumel

Day 5 (Wed 4/4) - Costa Maya (Maya Chan beach group)

Day 6 (Thur 4/5) - At Sea, Easter Egg Hunt Time & location:

Day 7 (Fri 4/6) - Castaway Cay

Day 8 (Sat 4/7) - Disembark

Do I have this correct? Am I missing something?

I wasn't sure where to put Terrie's Mid Ship Detective Drinking Game.

Thanks mucho, Elizabeth

We will be in full regalia! In January I just brought our hats and I wished later we had our full costumes.
It is a hassle to pack; DH isn't too thrilled, but I am, so he goes along:lovestruc. The first time he wore everything he wouldn't leave the stateroom without his sunglasses on.:cool2: (I guess he felt he could hide behind them?:rotfl2:). He is not shy anymore and he did get a kick out of being "dressed".
We brought a pirate flag and draped it around our table this last trip. I borrowed it from some friends. This could be a good alternative to dressing for some as it was super easy to bring and the ship provides bandanas.
All in all it seems everyone has a good Arrrrrghpirate: time no matter what they wear.

I don't have a clue as to the percentage of passengers that will dress up. :confused3 But I think there will be a good amount. pirate:pirate:pirate: Maybe people didn't have room in their suitcases on the Holiday cruise? I know I bring a lot more clothes for the holiday.

That is great! It sounds like almost everyone will be dressing up in some form so it should be a wonderful night. Thanks everyone for your thoughts on this! :goodvibes

hi there, my mom will be with us on the cruise (she is single and 63); she wanted me to ask the dis forum whether there will be other single 60's on the ship that might want someone to hang out with sometimes? I guess she doesn't want to have to follow us around the whole time lol and is hoping for some company more her speed. :drive:

Hey there Elizabeth! There is also the Grass Skirt Fraternity meet on day 1 at 4:30 deck 12 starboard. I believe there is also a Coconut Bra Sorority meet but I am unclear if that is also part of the GSF or if it is separate :confused3

Vicki is hosting a BYOC informal (no tiaras, feather boas required) Pink Champagne Girls meet on day 6 around 4pm or so at her stateroom 10164.

I am waiting on feedback from the FB group on suggestions for day/time with regards to the Midship Muppets Detective Agency Drinking game :lmao:

And on Emabarkation Night, there will be a Nook & Crannie Explortation tour of the ship (time and place of meet to be determined at the DIS Meet at 3pm).

Do we need a mini DIS Navigator? John and I will volunteer if the organizers of the events will send us details. The mini Navigator we did for the 2011 WBTA could be printed out or downloaded to your iPhone, Android etc.

Let us know!!

Hi, I'm not on your cruise, so I hope you don't mind me butting in here. I'm going to be on the June 23 wetern cruise.

I was wondering if you already have information about the nightly show schedule on the Fantasy, when the formal/semi-formal/pirate nights will be, and what the dining rotations will be.

Thanks.
Aaron
