Yes. We have been booked from the first day bookings were opened. We have been on the MV of all three ships so far, so we can't miss the Fantasy.

Glad to see you booked. Ray and Debbie told me you them your info. We got back yesterday from the Dream and we're exhausted. The kids took all this homework with them and didn't do any of it onboard. They were not happy when they got home and had to start on homework right away.

I can't believe we did it....I think it was Eleni that pushed us over. She got a job! Works at a little Greek restaurant. It's perfect for her. She told her boss about needing time off for vacations and he had no problem!!! Guess it helps to be Greek and work for a Greek.

Anyone on the fence about booking this cruise needs to do it ASAP. The prices have increased since yesterday anywhere from $900 to $1300 for different category staterooms.

I am SO GLAD I booked this last Saturday!!! Finally something in my favor.....

Hello! We booked the maiden voyage this past weekend and joined DIS boards (upon my friend KRISTIE03's advice) .

This will be our 3rd DCL cruise once it occurs (Mar 2010 Magic and Apr 2011 Magic).

We are so excited to be on the Maiden Vogage!!!

Cruising with me will be my DH and twin DS 6 (at the time of the cruise).

This will be our 3rd DCL cruise once it occurs (Mar 2010 Magic and Apr 2011 Magic).

I PMed you earlier and realized I never answered your question. No we weren't on the Dream MV. A little thing called school was in the way. That's why I was so happy with the date change here. I really wanted to go but the old date was foe the week after our spring break, so when it got moved we jumped on it.

So, I never did hear why the date was changed. Anyone know? It was listed in the sales brochure under the original date but I just heard word of mouth on the cruise that it had been changed. It would have been better for us on the original date but I'm going regardless! My son may have to sit this one out!!

So, I never did hear why the date was changed. Anyone know? It was listed in the sales brochure under the original date but I just heard word of mouth on the cruise that it had been changed. It would have been better for us on the original date but I'm going regardless! My son may have to sit this one out!!

Here is what I suspect on the reason for the date change. The initial 4/7/12 date was set before the delivery of the Dream. Remember that Disney had problems with the Magic and its builder Fincantieri, I think they built in more time, an extra week on the Fantasy, in case they had problems with Meyer Werft. I think this is also why the Dream arrived in Florida almost a month early and there were so many preview cruises. Extra time was built in that they ended up not needing because MW did such a good job on the Dream. Once they saw that they would not need the extra time for the Fantasy, they bumped it up a week.

All this being said, I sure hope they build the Fantasy a lot faster than the Dream because the time from her keel laying until maiden voyage was 1 1/2 years. We don't have that much time left for the Fantasy and I don't think the Keel has even been laid yet as the shipyard just cleared the space in the dock for her in the last week

I would prefer for them to do several trial runs on the Fantasy before we set sail. Though they will be able to train the new crew on the Dream, which will be a sister ship, there will still be unique things that need to be ironed out. I don't want to be a guinni pig and pay as much as we have for the privilege.

I agree! I hope it will run a little bit smoother than the Dream's MV did, but I'm expecting some bumps along the way and that's okay too.
