I totally agree. I know that this one will be one week, but we did not have enough time to do all things we would have liked to get done. In the week you may be able to, but don't fret if you don't. Come with alot of patience and understanding-which I needed when standing in the guest services line. Even at 11:30pm the lines were still long.
Just go with the flow and enjoy!!
Our servers were new, and I could tell our server was nervous. I think she got more nervous after the 2nd after she realized we knew the Food & Beverage Officer-Daniel. He had come to our table a couple of times. I believe after the MV they will build up their confidence and things will run more smoothly.
We had a great time, except with the merchandising chaos. The CM were amazing and so patient dealing with some of the rude passengers. I really applaud them.
All in all a great trip-just too short.
Bring an extra luggage for FE gifts and souveiners
Yes indeed,,,enjoy it. You will be amazed at some of the things (interactive art).
The bad experiences were more because of the selfish and rude passengers. And from what I could gather it wasn't those that have cruised Disney before.
The lobby is huge and beautiful!
We got a nice gift every night-book, keel coin and Ducky Williams print. I don't expect we'll get 1 every night on a 7 day but you'll get some nice stuff.
The RSP (Random Selection Process) was flawless. Maiden Voyage merch-jewelry, vinylmation, pins and other things. Most were limited edition from 25 to 1500 (some pins) while some of the items, mostly pins, were not limited. We got everything we wanted and were able to decline some of the items. Those not sold were eventually put in the store for those that didn't participate. Hopefully they'll extend the RSP to some of the wearable items.
Food was the best ever, according to my wife and pretty darn good according to me. AP was very cool while RP and EG were beautiful.
Cast members were great though some were obviously new
There will be some problems but none that you should let bother you.
I thought the elevators were faster with the only problem those that just don't know elevator etiquette. Let people off before you try to get on!
People have said the pools are smaller. I don't think so, appear to be about the same size but with more people on board that could be a problem.
Since the ship is under construction I'm sure they'll make some adjustments based on what they've found out about the Dream.
Remember, it's the first and you'll always be able to say you were there. Don't let others ruin your good time!
Our family is doing a 5 day on the Dream in July and I'm sure it will be as good or better than the MV while my wife has talked some girlfriends into a 3 day in September. Got to start the newbies off with a shorter trip. I get to stay home with the boys. She'll reach platinum on that one while we become Platinum on the MV.
Looking forward to meeting many of you! (And while I haven't recognized many names I expect some of the Dream MV'ers will be on this one too!
