Inaugural 3/31/12 Fantasy Cruise

Just got back from a week in Vegas Wow what fun that was I won more than I spent. We have one trip planned before our cruise and it is to Disney this August. We are looking forward to that trip.
Welcome to all the new Cruisers!! Cant wait to get to know you all. My daughter is looking for penpals she will be 11 for the cruise she is 10 now. It works out well for the kids if they can get to know each other before the cruise too. We're booking this cruise today!!!! I was going to wait until we were onboard the Dream in April, but we want connecting 5D's so I didn't want to wait just for the OBC on the 2nd room (already have one onboard booking I can transfer). We'll be myself, DH, DD13, and DD10. I was so happy when the date change came through. We wanted to sail the maiden voyage when it was released, but unfortunately it was the week AFTER my kids spring break. With the date change, it now falls on spring break and we can now go!!!! We'll check out the Dream in April and get so excited for this one at that time I'm sure!!!! We'll be on the Wonder in August to go to Alaska. Looking forward to meeting everyone!!!!

Hi, everyone! We just got back from the Wonder Panama Canal crossing on Friday, where we booked the MV on the Fantasy. Just wanted to pop in and introduce ourselves.

I'm Tracy, and I'll be sailing with my dh David. Currently our kids Erik (will be 20) and Alison (will be 17) are slated to come along, but Erik's college schedule might not permit it. (He should be going on Spring break the day we get BACK from the cruise, if the University keeps the same calendar next year as they're having this year.) Alison will be a 2nd semester high school Senior so her schedule is a bit more flexible. She'll probably make it.

I just joined and haven't had time to read the thread yet. Do we already have a website and/or sticky posts with all the info on FE's, activities, etc? It's kind of early, I know but that's half the fun!!!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you over the next year and a couple of months!

Welcome aboard!! I and Noel and my DH John will be taking our 5th DCL cruise and repeating the WBTA this year. We had lots of friends on the PC who said it was a great cruise. I am one of the old members of the "Thieves" group from a previous PC cruise.

Hi Tracy, we didn't get a chance to meet on the PC cruise, but I was there with you. Welcome aboard!!!!

I don't think we have a website yet, but we are working on organizing FE and other things will come closer to the MV.

Hi jel0511, it looks like we might be on the same Dream cruise this spring! We had the same experience with booking after the date changed as it now lines up with our spring break, as well.

Is there a closed FB group page for this group yet? That helped with keeping the info together on our last cruise. Having it be closed helped to protect the info as well so we were more free to discuss our plans.

I see one set up but didn't recognize the name who set it up and it is an open group. If no one posts that they set one up I will do it. I would need a couple others who can help with okaying requests to join. Last time we okayed anyone who had signed up on the DIS thread so we asked for their ID, just as a safeguard.

I was thinking we might create a private website with a user name password like we did on the last WBTA. It seems to keep the information more private than FB. Sue Kraft did the last one for our 2010 WBTA and I will be happy to show you what she did as we were thinking of doing the same thing but with a user name, password.
