In your opinion, what is the least fulfilled room request?

What do you think is the least fulfilled resort request. Early check in? Upper floor? Near elevators?
Also what do you think the most fulfilled request is?
How many requests do you ask for? Two? So at least one gets fulfilled?

Obviously it's the one I requested! pirate: Seriously though, we have had great luck with our room requests. Early check-in is our go-to request. DW rarely uses the balcony. I consume my morning pot of coffee on the balcony and tend to enjoy the 'lesser' valued views more as they tend to be more busy and interesting. We're DVC point misers so we're used to the entire range of 'Standard' views.

When using the online form I only do one request, to have a better chance that my top request will be fulfilled. Online choices are extremely limited now, anyway.

When I have something more specific to request, I igore the online form and call in, or have my travel agent call in to request it.

When I check-in at the resort, I check the resort map to get an idea if this is the location I want. If it isn't, I politely ask for a change to what I want if it's available. Never hurts to ask and I have had improvements this way.

I agree. It’s probably nothing but coincidence that one thing is offered more than another.

Personally, requests never work out for us, ok once.
Now we typically travel during busy seasons and such but we literally have had one request filled in countless numbers of trips.
Generally we request “adjoining rooms” because we often have 5+ people. Sometimes they are close but more often then not they are not even in the same building, while many others I see get that request all the time. So back to my point, it depends on time of year/how busy.

That said, if I was to guess the overall hardest request is prob close to main building for food/pool

I always pick early check in as my first request and then just randomly pick something else. I also check the box that early check in is the most important. We drive down and get there between 2 and 3 so it's nice if we can go ahead and put our bags in our room. Otherwise, I really don't care where our room is or the view. I have requested a balcony at Dolphin but you usually have to pay extra for those and I'm not willing to do that. I guess it's about 50/50 as to if our room has been ready when we have gotten there.

There's no single (or simple) answer to this. First, it varies by resort. For instance, one resort may have a lot more pool view rooms than another. Then, you have to consider how many rooms that meet your criteria exist at your resort. And finally, there's a matter of luck - how many rooms that meet your criteria are currently occupied by other guests?

A single request has a better chance than multiple requests. Asking for “connecting rooms, near lobby, on the first floor” is going to be much more difficult to find for your arrival date than one of those 3.

Also, making sure your request is within your room category option.

Has anyone ever used Touring Plans Room Request Service?
More than 10 times. It’s not any better than calling your request. Sometimes I’ve gotten something close to what I requested. Sometimes, it’s been something completely different. It really depends on how many of those rooms are available in your booking category when you are assigned your room. And there are a LOT of rooms in TP that are not correctly categorized. They don’t get an official room map from Disney with the room categories and numbers. It’s based on what guests report and with Disney constantly creating new categories, a lot of the rooms are miscoded into a different category.

I have, and so far have been 3 for 3 on my TP room requests, but I follow the advised rule of keeping them very simple and I tend to book Standard room categories. I got Rarotonga 3rd floor at the Poly like i asked, building 4 next to the food court at POFQ like I asked, and my BC room was actually better than what I asked for in that section, I was given a corner King room (I think it was mostly because I was traveling solo on a holiday weekend). It really isn't more likely to get you what you want than if you just made the request yourself, but their auto formatting is helpful. Remember you are not asking for a specific room, but "something similar to this because of x".

Also definitely check against other sources because TP is notoriously slow to update room categories. It took them forever to change the Poly categories when Pool view was added and some of them are still mislabeled.

As other posters have mentioned, I think the "least" fulfilled check-in request varies based on resort, time of year, and even room category. That said, if you want to count requests placed throughout the stay/near check out, I think the least fulfilled request is late checkout. I've had probably well above 50 stays at Disney hotels, and I don't think I've ever been granted a late checkout (maybe once?), and I hear the same from lots of people as well. Late checkouts do happen, but in my experience they are very rare.

When we made a request, we did so that it sort of matched to what we were already getting, so it didn’t seem unreasonable. We were booked for a water view room at CSR Gran Destino. So we requested a room on an upper floor. We got assigned to floor 11. We were able to see the bridges, pool, grassy area, and could see fireworks from our room.

Thanks! I kind of just like it because it's easy. We have a king room booked, we really just want a certain building at CBR close to the skyliner that doesn't look at a parking lot (very few King rooms do so we'd have to be unlucky lol)

Requests are requests, never ever ever guaranteed. You have the same chance of getting none granted, as getting one met.

Part of the issue might be your wording. "Adjoining" rooms are next to or near each other (which no, doesn't explain different buildings, see my response above :)). "Connecting" rooms are next to each other and have an interior door which, if opened by the occupants of both rooms, gives everyone access to both rooms without going outside.

Yeah, I understand that. I used adjoining here because some resorts I don’t believe have actual connecting rooms. As a matter of fact the time we did get adjoining rooms they were not connecting.
once at CBR we were on completely different locations let alone buildings.
I personally think it is BS That Disney can’t give people connecting/adjoining rooms on the regular. They are literally the only place I have ever been that can’t Which makes me believe it may Be part of their strategy to get people to pay more for suites

All Disney resorts except Fort Wilderness have connecting rooms. I think that's true of pretty much every hotel.

You know, all rooms turned over only on the sam day (like on a cruise ship) they probably could. But when you have, potentially, 3,000+ rooms being checked out and into every day, and stays of one or three or seven - up to 28 - nights, you really can't do that.
