After my Dad was killed, things that seemed terribly important seemed insignificant and I realized that life can change in an instant.

You hear that and it means nothing until you are hit with the reality that it's true and final.

Yep, no matter how much life or work can beat you down, never forget to remind the ones you love how much they mean to you. I have fallen victim to this at times when work overwhelms me, but then I remind myself that my job will not be my legacy, but the friends and family that I surround myself with will be. I continue to be amazed by the love and support of this DIS family and it will be something I never take for granted.
