Have you guys seen this?

A wedding proposal at the castle in Disney World gets ruined by "in the way guy".

Then, through various memes, he shows up EVERYWHERE!! :rotfl2:

I don't think that's right unless he's the one who released the photo. It's not HIS fault you're proposing in a very crowded public place! Sheesh, at least pick a spot to the side of Main St!

I think that's hilarious.

As for not thinking that it was right to use his image:
1. Pretty sure from his body language that he knew full well that he was walking through a photo op. And an important one as well.

2. He was in a public place. No law against taking photos of people in a public place.

As for the location of the proposal- yeah, even if they wanted a photo with the castle in the background they could have picked a better time and place.

Lol, i saw this all over Imgur last night! I feel so bad for the couple! It's pretty obvious what's going on, and everyone else walking around did just that...walked AROUND them. As a photographer, this is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Obviously I don't know him, or them, or what have you so I can't say I know what happened...but in just looking at the photo, it seems like he knows. He's trying to rush across the gap like he knows someone is taking a photo. I've had that happen so many times...people look right at you and your camera, make that same face, then walk across anyways.

You are right, especially if you see the photo just BEFORE the famous one (there's "in-the-way guy", just to the couple's right, knowing that he is going to be in the shot):

He didn't have to jump across right then; he knew what was going on.

Propose in the Rose Garden if you don't want interruptions or strangers in your photo. Castle Hub can also be decent since most people don't walk through that area. Not to mention, Main Street looks crowded as heck. Not the best time for something special like that. Or call attention to yourself to create a crowd around the event.

Doesn't seem like they were using a photopass photographer. Most people notice the CM more so than the guests standing there taking pictures.

I feel bad for their special moment, but disaster could've been averted with a bit of planning.

Photoshopped versions made me giggle.

As for the picture, if you don't want other people in your pictures, don't pick the busiest place on Earth for a photo ;)

Someone walking between you and the photographer is not a disaster, it shouldn't "ruin" your proposal. You take a funny picture and then just have the proposer stay on his knee for a moment and take another.

What "ruins" a proposal is if the other person says no. Or if you're my dad, when you spend days working up the courage to ask, and it turns out your sweetheart slept through it.

I don't know, he still could have been oblivious as to what was going on. Either way, this is hilarious!!!! Love the other pics that he's been put in. LOL

It is a funny meme. Don't worry about the guy, in 5 minutes the Internets will find some new meme to take his place.

On a side note: Public proposals are for attention *****s, don't do them.

That is HILARIOUS!

All I can say is, "There but for the grace of God go I." I could definitely see myself inadvertently doing this. :)

I'm thinking he could have picked a much better place to propose, somewhere a bit more out of the way?? A busy area like that, is just asking for an "in the way guy" to ruin your picture!

I think the meme is hilarious.

I saw this! I found it tragic and funny at the same time. I don't know if that couple got another proposal shot or not, but I hope they did.

It's one of those, "Hey, remember when that crazy guy....?" types of stories that they can tell decades from now. It'll make their day special and unique.

I hope they weren't too devastated if they didn't get another picture. But at some point in time, this day, while always memorable, will be put behind many other important memorable days. Like the wedding day. The day they buy their first house. The day they find out they're pregnant. The day they can hold their bundle of joy in their arms. Many days are special. They'll have other special days. This special day for them just has a funny meme attached to it. Forever. On the internet.

I've made that face when I don't realize I've walked in front of a photo until I see the flash, or until the camera is right in my face!

I agree. I read the woman said she thought he was trying to get out of the way and made the wrong decision on how to do it. So, she doesn't seem to think it was on purpose.
