In the Spirit of the Season

Okay I am starting on your 2nd part to Epcot... The smell in that store was really nice! Yeah I don't think that I would have held that in with the chair! And that would annoy me too so I can see where Alex is coming from! It's justa noise that will stop in a few seconds! We have some pictures with Damien and Duffy- I love that they have his story leading up to him so that the kids can know who he is! I really liked that sum of all thrills ride! Damien can still tell you what the name of his was with his dad! You know I feel like kids these days have more sophisticated palates! Like Damien thinks nothing of it when he choses sushi for lunch over McDonalds or Wendy's! And Zoe sounds the same way with the lobster bisque!
K loved One's mans dream! He didn't see the movie-only Damien and I did, but he actaully went around and read all of that stuff! I remember you told me Alex was sick, I feel bad that he got sick and everything.
I am all caught up now and ready for more updates:goodvibes

The sun wheel was at DCA... but (and maybe Paula or someone who frequents DL can tell us) off hand I don't know the name of it after the refurbishment... now though, it has Mickey on it. In One Man's Dream, there is a model of how DCA now looks in the pier area. That thing that looks like a ferris wheel is not... let me assure you... it is NOT a ferris wheel and it has about killed me each time I rode it...especially when on a booth that moves. Riding the stand still ones though are nice though (well, they still cause me to have a panic attack :rolleyes1) since.. if memory serves you can clearly see all the way into DL.

The sunwheel is now called mickey's fun wheel and the swinging cabins really aren't that bad there kind of fun.

So sorry about Alex getting sick.

But you and Zoe seemed to enjoy your girl time together. :)

Mmmm mickey waffles...

MMM mickey waffles.. I don't feel well and they do sound yummy right now!!!

Zoe and I always have a good time together... in fact...:rolleyes1 do I ever have a good time when the guys are with me? :rotfl:

I wish I had more time to read everything there. DHS always seem like the park I am most rushed with...:sad2:

And..yes, Zoe definitely is a good eater. She would choose sushi over mcd's too.. :goodvibes

Gotcha! :thumbsup2 Mickeys fun wheel... I will ride it again someday... but I don't care what you say ;)... those swinging cabins are terrifying. :rotfl2: at least to me.:rolleyes1 Then again... I am kinda a wimp.

When the Fantasyland extension is finished for your next vacation, you will need to schedule a meal in Belle's castle.

The epcot resorts all have some nice christmas decorations and i so want to stay in the boardwalk someday. I hope alex gets better real soon. We had a few sick also

Do you think it will be open in the fall? I think that would be high on my list:cloud9:

I love the epcot resorts! We stayed at YC once..and it was one of my favorite stays... but.. then again... I have loved POP and POR and WL :rotfl2: I just love them all I guess.

Today was suppose to be the day that Zoe went back to the hospital. The doctor ended up being "stuck" in India though... so it was cancelled. They are concerned that Zoe will develop an infection in the mean time but there really isn't a lot they can do at this point. Steve was the one who took the call and while he let the nurse know that Zoe was starting to complain of a back ache... he (unlike me) did not think to suggest we start her on a course of antibiotics just in case.

Personally, I am glad the procedure got pushed back. I have just been so sick. Not a lot of fun. I did manage to get all my work done for the week though so I can now take today through Sunday off. :woohoo: I have managed to stay on top of the house for the most part...and when I haven't, like last night when I chose to get caught up on my emails, Zach did the work for me. (although, while dishes were done... well... counters could stand to be wiped down a bit better and sweeping/vacuuming is not up to my standard as well)

Speaking of Zach... he finally got a job!!!! (well, outside the one that doesn't afford him to live on his own) He has drill this weekend and so he officially starts on Monday. :woohoo:

I am glad that I am done with work for the week. It has not been a fun week. I love my job and the flexibility it gives at time (like.. I rushed to get everything done this week so I could have a couple days off) however, sometimes... it sucks. We had a big job this week. Big, meaning important. Personally, I like to go into each of my stores.. do my stuff and get out before I am noticed by the store employees. There are some stores where there are exceptions..where they know me by name and are nice. However, for whatever reason, the particular chain of stores that this job was in are notorious for not being fond of outside vendors. I avoid those managers as much as I possibly can - cause to put it simple..they are mean. So this hugely important job... it involved me meeting with store managers. :scared: Everything needed to complete this task was scheduled to take approximately 30 minutes. In the first store I showed up for.. I knew there would be trouble the minute I went to where I was told to meet the manager and she was no where to be found. I, not feeling well, had to walk all the way back to the front of the store to have them page her and tell her that I needed her in a specific isle anyway and to just meet me there. Next sign of trouble... when she showed up... she was irritated with my introduction (not like I am not in that store several times a week) She made a face then snapped at me and said "what company are you with" I again explained what company and how I am here normally doing x (to try and jog her memory) She told me this better be quick cause she doesn't have time. It all kinda went down hill from there. Good grief she was the nastiest piece of work.. it ended with her dragging me to the back room (hmm... where she was originally suppose to meet with me) because "she wasn't going to stand in the isle and argue with me" I tried and tried to explain to her that I didn't care (I think at the core of why this chain of managers is testy is they tend to think I am some sort of enforcer... any type of audit and they just get so worked up..bottom line is I could care less about what they do in their stores... if it goes against some corporate policy that is between them and someone else)... I was just representing x and as the client, x believe y to be true. I was not calling her a liar. In the end I left her with a sales sheet that did not give her the information regarding what she has available to her in her warehouse. (let her and her grumpy butt figure it out) Luckily, the other managers were timely and while they too refused what the client was wanting me to do in their stores... they were nice about it and gave a very good reason. (which I agreed with and totally was thankful for since I didn't want touch their shelves feeling the way I did) At the end of the day though, those 30 minute tasks.. well, I spent an hour arguing with that first manager.. and the others ended up still being around 30. Not sure how long it would have taken me if I had to get scu's printed and placed on the shelves and items moved around.:confused3 Happy news though... as long as the client (or my managers manager) doesn't pitch a fit.. I have closed out all tasks associated with that job...and I don't have to worry about it any more. (all week I was dreading this job)

Now I can prepare for Zoe's bday party and do (hopefully more than one) updates to my TR.:goodvibes

Sorry to hear that Zoe's surgery was postponed due to her surgeon being stuck in India? What in heavens name is he doing there??? I hope her back starts feeling better soon.

Sorry you had such a rough week at work, and then being sick on top of it and having to deal with jerks!

I hope you get a little time to just chill this weekend.

Two Girls Alone in DHS, What Could be Better

When Alex left, Zoe and I decided it was time for lunch. Since we had shared breakfast, sharing and early lunch seemed to be a good idea as well. The question is, where is a great place to have a lunch and share it? Starring Rolls of course! I had planned on all of us eating here. I also had planned on Zoe and I sharing. Now though, we were only going to be using 1 instead of 3 cs credits. It made me kinda sad that the guys were going to miss the yummy food, but at this point I still figured they both just wanted to hang at the hotel so I didn’t let it get to me for too long. Zoe and I split a turkey sandwich and a red velvet cupcake. OMG! I have never been a big fan of red velvet, but this cupcake completely made me a convert!!!

After we leisurely ate our meal, we were on schedule a bit. The next thing I had on our list was to see BATB. I so very much love this show and since Zoe’s favorite princess is Belle, I was sure we would not be disappointed to see it again. We got into the theater and got the most AMAZING seats!!! We were so close to the stage, I about cried. I was able to take the best pictures I have ever been able to get of this show.

In this next picture you can see how close we were seated. If only we were not on the side and had a large head in front of us. ;)

After the show, I became aware of the situation back at the room so it was time to head there. If memory serves, this was the time I had scheduled to take our afternoon break anyway...so it was good timing. It was still hard to leave though because Zoe and I were having such a relaxed time and even though we only had lunch and watched the one show, it was a nice time!!!
On our way out I took a picture of one of the fabulous windows!

Next Chapter: I scrubbed the floors, now may I go to play?

Her surgeon is literally world renowned. He often travels to countries to do humanitarian works. I assume that is what he was in the middle of when he got "stuck" and I have no idea why he is stuck. It could be that a patient there was in more need of him staying or it could be he got sick or it could be that there was some sort of political thing. Given that Zoe and I both got sick after spending some time around his resident... and he spent a lot of time with him, it makes me wonder if he ended up getting sick while away and isn't up to travel right now.

So glad you ate at Starring Rolls...I love that place.

And if you look at the picture with the guy with the big head in front of you, we were in the first row in the center behind the handicapped area (I've never sat that close either). I love that show and am so happy that Mary, the girls and I got to see it.

What an adorable, decorated window.

Ann, first off, so sorry to hear that you were sick!

And then I really hope that Zoe's medical issues can be resolved soon.

Wow! That one manager of that store sounded really mean - you were only doing your job, why do some people always have to be so nasty? :sad2:

Your girls time at the Studios sounds fun. We love Starring Rolls - so overlooked but SO good! :thumbsup2

And BATB is always fun. I don't get tired of seeing it! And your seats were awesome! :goodvibes

Those would have been even better seats!!! Being that close was such a nice treat!

I was very impressed with all the windows at WDW this trip. I always am..but the things they put in them are just an attraction all on their own. :goodvibes

Zoe's stuff is always going to be going on. It will be her entire life... but looking at her you really wouldn't guess it.

You are right.. BATB never ever gets old!!

And yes.. some people can just be nasty. Oh well..

Sorry about your store manager...:headache: I think something must be in the water this week because I have dealt with more grumpy teachers than my liking!

Maybe it was a good thing Zoe's surgery was delayed...gives you time to get well and make sure she is well too! I can't believe it is time for her birthday...last year I joined your PTR right before her birthday!

I  your day at DHS with Zoe! I think that sounds like a perfect day...jealous of your red velvet cupcake (Jeff and I had Red Velvet for our wedding cake, long before red velvet became popular, but we had the REAL red velvet icing...a butter icing, not cream cheese...YUCK)...I won't tell you what I had there or my thoughts yet!

Glad that it worked out well that Zoe's appt was cancelled. I hope you feel better soon so that you can enjoy that time off.

I was happy to read about your excitement over the seats. Aren't those "perfect moments" amazing when you are feeling tears of joy?

I love that you and Zoe had time together! I can't wait to read more!

I think that people feel rushed in that park because it's mostly shows and they are all on specific times? I know that's why I felt like that there! We gave up on most of the shows because we weren't going to make it just because we were either too early and wanted to try something else or too late and didn't want to wait for the next show!
How are you feeling? I am sorry I have been a bad friend in following! How is Zoe's back feeling now?
Congratulations to Zach!
I am glad that you are done with work, but sorry that you had to go through that to get some time away! I hat when people are just rude and not listening anymore. It doesn't matter what you can say at that point because they aren't listening for anything but something that they can argue about! Glad that your away from that for awhile though and hope that you get everything you need to done!
That does look yummy... what kind of bread was the sandwich made with? I love Belle too! I think that she's so plain, but in a pretty way!

Sorry you are sick. Glad you have the weekend to recoup. That stinks about the nasty store manager.

I sure hope Zoe can beat an infection. Maybe you can call the office tomorrow for a prophylactic antibiotic treatment? Sorry her surgery was postponed.

That cupcake looks nice! Too bad there is chocolate in red velvet cake. I'm stuck with vanilla cupcakes.

Hello Ann, I so badly need to catch up on your TR.. I have been slacking lately. Well it has happened again our trip got postpone and this time it won't be rescheduled until Dec 2013.. Seems like a long time but oh well life happens. I'm happy to hear that your son got a job now I wish my DH can find a job. I can't believe it has been three months since he's been out of work where does the time go. Maybe if my DH can find a job soon I can take a quick little trip to DL since its closer.

Hope to catch up on your TR this weekend

I'm sorry to hear Zoe's surgery was postponed! Hopefully her surgeon comes back soon!

Ugh, that's definitely not fun to have to put up with unpleasant people at work! :sad2: Glad this week is over for you!

Your lunch with Zoe looks great!

So sorry you are not feeling well. I also have been sick all week. Someone decided it would be fun to give me the flu for my 30th birthday (yesterday). I am supposed to have knee surgery on Wednesday so this weekend will be spent in bed trying to get rid of it! Feel better!

Poor Zoe having to wait even longer for her surgery. I hope she isn't in too much pain. Hopefully he comes back soon and you can reschedule!

Loved the last update! I love the BATB stage show. It is so nice to go there and just sit and relax after walking around all day!
