In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

First of all - I just got up!!!!:scared1::confused3:scared1: What is going on?

You know, this really is what works best for me. It's the list-making, control freak, way-too-goal-oriented person diet and exercise program.

You know, that never crossed my mind? What have you people done to me?

)

Loved both statements. And as for the Amiee running find - good for you for buying the smaller - I have a good story later.

:

E's Lakehouse is my happy place :rotfl2:

?

AAAAAH! Lake house. Said like the cookie monster. :lmao:

I agree. But if the U.S. tried to use military, the Unions would go nutso!

]

Yep, that's their reasoning here to. That we would be enraged. But the police couldn't handle because they wouldn't leave the fence (the fence blocks off the entire area where the leaders are )in numbers - obviously. So there were car bombs and smashed windows up and down two streets with no police presence at the time because "these thugs are trying to get us to move from the fence and we won't". So good for them. BUT oh so lovely for all the businesses.

If they used the army they could have worked the fence and the police could have protected citizens and property.

Lord, I simply can't shut up. :rolleyes1

SO GREAT NEWS HERE.

My body composition has changed since I was at my lowest weight last March. What I mean that I wasn't in as good shape at that point. So when I get back to that weight - I bet I will be smaller in size than I was before. See if you can follow. :lmao: Good luck. I was so perplexed by the pants I put on for the funeral. Size sixteen and feeling tight. And I went down in emotions. Wah wah like a baby. ;)

And then I realized something isn't making sense this morning. I put on these white capris that I KNOW THE EXACT WEIGHT where they fit. They have NO give. Heavy heavy material. Lovely pants - Izod. Fantastic buy. Okay, I digress. :lmao:

I am nowhere near that weight where they used to fit perfectly and they fit perfectly. :confused3

And then it hits me. Hey wait - you just wore the 14s in the same dress pants a couple of months ago. I literally run to find them. They are looser than the 16s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I obviously shrunk the funeral pants (16s).

So I run for another pair of pants. :rotfl: I bought them at my lowest - I am nowhere near my lowest weight of March 2009 - and they fit. Not as well but they fit. :confused3

So life is not so bad. That's the point of my essay if anyone was wondering. popcorn::

I didn't do this one Jillian DVD when I was at my lowest. I KNEW it strengthened my legs and butt and such. IT DID.

ANd Kat! The Izod white capris. I used to wear the same pair TWO sizes up near the beginning of my weight loss. I bought two pairs TWO sizes down when I bought the originals and they are where I'm at right now so good buy Kat!

Watching New Moon (nothing like a little Twilight post-half marathon) but the race report is coming because I have lots to share.

I did want to say that I'm on my computer because I'm registering for 5k that takes place July 11. (E- It's a Sunday up in Kennebunk. You know if you were into a 5k in Maine on the beach you might want to check it out.) I checked to see when I can register for the Princess and I'm looking at this half that takes place in November two days before my birthday down in NC. I might make Kat regret she mentioned.

Also I'll mention it in my race report tonight but I swear I like carried you guys with me during the race. I thought you should know you all passed through my head at one point or another.

Ok back to my vampires and werewolves.

Lisa, AWESOME on the clothes-fitting test.

I figure that running skirt = $$ and you can't beat $8. Here's to hoping I fit into it soon!

Can't wait for the RR!!!

Which one?? The OBX!?! That would rock SO hard if you came. You would smoke me but my friend is more at your pace so you might have a buddy.

I am no longer considering the City of Oaks. Hilly and a 3 hour time limit, and my running group says don't do it, do the OBX instead.

D was out of town Wed/Thurs and I got really crummy sleep (thanks to little cat), and we were all talking after the run and evidently those are the two sleep days that really matter? :confused3

yep. That's my understanding as well. And experience has shown it to be true for me.

Ghana were very good but hey, at least you made it to extra time - not like the horrific spanking we just suffered! :sad2:

Yeah, sorry 'bout that. But Paul the Octopus predicted it. Seriously. If you think I'm kidding, google it.

Love that. All of it - but especially that.

Ah yes. Like Lisa and her "at least I've got legs" in my head during the Princess. Glad we could help you Meg! :goodvibes

Off to a graduation party now where I'm guaranteed to eat and drink way more than I ought. :rolleyes1 I've been good thus far today, so I fully intend to enjoy myself as responsibly as I can without being anal about it!

Kelly! I'm sorry. I was out of it this morning. I didn't realize it was this morning. I missed it. Germany, right? Oh I guess I shouldn't type that name. :goodvibes

Meg - I am so proud of you!!! I had no doubts that you were going to rock this race. Can't wait to read the race report.

I have much to say to respond to everyone, but need to get some laundry going first and then get on a real computer.

I'll catch up with everyone later tonight.

HI Ladies,

Just a drive by for me.

CONGRATS MEG. U ROCK party:

Hi, E, Nice to hear from you. Sounds like your having a great summer

I;ve been MIA this weekend, just with the girls trying to get over the whole IT thing, I know its not over. I think he will be in the office tomorrow.
Nowork at all. Eat like crap. Owell. It is what it is.
Clean my house like a mad woman!!

Tomorrow is a new weeek!

argh... had a whole post typed out and it was lost! I can't type what I am thinking right now... :confused3

Had so much to say to everyone and not it is out of my head...

Bike shopping went well. A Giant Avail 1 is on order for me in, get this, a size XS! I have never had something that was sized extra small - ever! I went with SPD clips and shoes. The bike should be here in about two weeks and I can go from there. I am hoping against hope that this is the right bike for me since I was in between sizes. The small he had in the shop felt too tall, but there is some concern that the distance between the seat post and the front stem may be too short with the XS so I just have to wait and see which is more comfortable at this point. Gulp!

I rode 30 miles with the TNT group on Saturday and about died on the last quarter of it. My tank was on empty and after dragging behind everyone by a good 20 - 30 minutes it was quite demoralizing. Doubt has entered my head about whether or not I can get to where I need to be in time. I am fighting it, but it is there. I did not feel well last night and took a three hour nap today so perhaps my body is just fighting something and couldn't give its all, but who knows.

Off to get ready for a new week. Time to put this weekend behind me.

Paula, I felt the same by the end of mine. Maybe it was just a bad week? Hopefully both of us will have better training next Sat.

Food for today:
B: 1/2 cup TJ fiber cereal (60), 1/4 cup almond milk (10), coffee
L: Fajitas: 3 white corn tortillas (150) sprayed with cooking spray, lightly salted, and baked for 5 min in a 375 degree oven. 2.5 oz beef strips (100), 3 oz shrimp (60), green pepper, onion, fajita seasoning, jalapenos + juice, and 1/2 ear corn cut off cob (50), 1 tbsp greek yogurt (10), small sprinkle of 2% sharp cheddar (20)
D: Toasted Stouffers Philly Steak Sub (370)
S: 2 bud light select 55s (110) after hockey game, during parking lot party, 2 chips and bite of muffin (40?)

Total, 980. Oops. I need to start eating more.
Water, 80 oz
Exercise, hockey game - 1 day cross-training done

Did you fuel up along the way? :confused3 If I'm doing any cardio workout like that that is longer than 90 minutes, I find that I really need to refuel part way thru. For my bike, I have a little under-seat carry pouch thingy ( I'm sure it has a real name - I just have no idea what it is!). I usually carry my cell phone, some $$, lil pack of tissues, Gu or Powergel. I could also stick in a granola bar or protein bar. Something to consider anyway.

Today is Monday. Hot, humid, disgusting Monday. Bloated beyond belief today. <bleh>. Heading to the gym to workout because it's simply too gross to bike outside this morning.

Nancy, thanks for the reminder. I need to pick up some Gu this week... we move to 10 miles this Sat so I will definitely need it.

Weigh-in for today, 183.4. That is a 6.6 lb loss from last Monday's evil post-cheat day bloat, a 3.8 lb loss from 2 weeks ago, and the lowest "official" weigh-in of 2010. :)

Awesome Kat! :woohoo:

I was up this morning due to post-weekend-frolic bloat :rolleyes1 Back at it today. I went to the gym for an indoor workout since the humidity is thru the roof today. Downright nasty out.

Time to take a shower and hang paint chips samples on my wall. I'm looking to get my bedroom and living room (which I use for my office area) painted this summer. I don't mind the actual *painting* part - it's the color selection that I have serious issues with!

Morning ladies! I was so tired last night I couldn't write a RR. I'm on my way to swim with the family I babysit for but when I get home I'll do a little writing.

Hope you're all having a wonderful Monday!

Way to go on the loss Kat!

I don't like picking paint colors either, Nancy. Ugg. Good Luck!

Paula, hope you feel better today.

I'm at work and IT @ss is here. Why do I let someone make me feel yucky. I can only control my reaction. Right? So here's to moving on.!!! What else can I do.

The end of day can not come soon enough. I do however have my running cloths in the car, I plan on hitting a 2.5 mile trail after work. I have done this trail twice.

Oh and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new phone. Still learning it.

Nancy - I thought of that as well. I brought a granola bar with me bur it wasn't enough. There is a nutrition and bike maintenence clinic on Thursday that I am going to so hopefully that will help. I suspect I did not have enough protein in me from Friday (carb fest that my menu was) as well. Starting to feel more like me again.

Kat - ten miles so soon. Impressive!

Jesse kicked my bummicks tonight but good. Fast paced reps with little to no break between sets. 30 seconds was about it. I walked our of there drenched and tired.

Off to go clean up and prep for another day - whee!

Nancy... not slow for me! Just swamped at work. Major issues going on.

Paula, fuel might have been it, but how is your sleep lately? Mine sucked last week which I think contributed to running out of gas on Sat.

Then again, I looked at the elevation on RunKeeper and miles 5, 6, 7, 8 went 5, 7, 10, 22 (climb in ft) so that could have been part of it!

Food for today:
B: half bagel thin (55), 1 tbsp HG smoked salmon spread (20)
L: TJ Black Bean/Corn enchiladas (260), salad (70), strawberries (40)
S: 1/2 cup TJ Fiber Cereal (60), 1/4 cup almond milk (10)
D: Sam's Choice Mushroom/Swiss stuffed chicken breast (220), mashed cauliflower (100), steamed broccoli (30), sf Jello pudding (60)
S: Breakstone Cottage Double - strawberry w/ fiber (100)

Total, 1025.
Water, 64 oz
Exercise, none. Got stuck at work, so no Pilates.

Kat - I took a two hour nap on Saturday, slept for nine hours on Saturday night, took a three hour nap on Sunday and slept for nine hours on Sunday. Think I was a little tired?

It is always something right?

and in other news - Becca and I went to Kohls today and totally rocked the sales! I got a new bathing suit - and I actually don't hate it! :thumbsup2

HA! Definitely. We should both make a pact to get great sleep Wed and Thurs this week and see how we feel after the Sat torture, umm, I mean training! :goodvibes

Nancy, awesome! What does it look like?
