In search of my body...not the one I ate!

Hehe... not to mention two bare-a$$ed women trying to get the darn thing to work right, with towels clutched to chests. There are probably one or two really, really traumatized folks from that locker room who had to see the huge white expanse that mine is... the other woman was a nice little petite thing of course.

On a happier note, a coworker told me how good I am looking lately. One that tends to be brutally honest and outright said I looked like I gained weight from my WDW trip (well duh, I did, but geebus you don't have to SAY so), but it actually makes me believe her more if that makes sense.

Oh, and Erika, you are totally NOT too old for kickboxing. When I took it a few years back there were people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. And I think you will love it. :goodvibes

Yay for people noticing! I had a co-worker notice too!!! I love that feeling!:goodvibes

Yuck. We spent the weekend in a hotel for a tournament and that clip was the topic of conversation with us moms Sat. night. Ironic to come home and see you past this bird. I had not seen it. I don't like that the hotels use plastic wrapped cups or worse yes styrofoam.

Kat- I don't know, but those cold flashes may have been sent by Erika so you could relate to the temps in Maine. Who was it driving with the top down a few weeks back, enjoying the warm weather.

Dawn and Dan  Congratulations!!

:flower3: Have a great week!

Way to go!! BTW, what is a polar watch? I need to look that up.

It is a wonderful little gadget! There is an band that you wear around your chest when you do our workout and it keeps track of your heart beat, the calories burned, the time you worked etc. There are different models, some let you download the information to your computer.

Now if I could just get the bodies of those on the front page of the website!

Hi Guys! I've been so mia this past week, it's been over a week and a half and bruce is still sick  I hope he can shake this cough soon, i'm getting worried. It's supposed to start warming up, hopefully the weather change will help.

My treadmill finally came, with the handweights, and BONUS, a 65" ball! It was like a mini home gym in a box! I did my first day of C25K, it kicked my butt! But i did it! I'm trying not to get discouraged that I am so out of shape. I'll get there!

I hope everyone is having a great week! And i hope to be able to be on and catch up more! :goodvibes

Hi guys...I am sorry to be crazy busy today...geting all the backlog of Tupp done..I will post tomm...just letting you know I was not dead mon.

OMG--I am instantly obsessed! I so need something like this...now I will have to spend the rest of the night scouring the internet to find out which model I need and where to get it the cheapest...so much for productivity!

CONGRATS on your first day of C25k!!! Woo-Hoo for you! And remember that you get to take tomorrow off...so don't worry if you are sore...you should be ok by Weds. when you run again. Also, if you find that it is too much for you, go ahead and repeat week one before moving on to week 2.

Great job finishing day 1 of the C25K. It really does get easier and if you feel like you need to repeat a week no big deal, you are still progressing. Nice score with the exercise ball.

If it gives you some peace of mind my DH coughed for 3 months! It was really awful but apparently not unheard of. He came down with it the first week in December and has just gotten to the point in the past 2 weeks where he can actually do things without hacking up a lung. It is a nasty bug. One doctor called it a microplasm-its not viral or bacterial so there is nothing you can take to speed up the recovery. I hope he feels better soon.

Me too!! :goodvibes I want to wear all day just to see what I am averaging.

Night all. I am off to the gym.

I ordered two "Biggest Loser" DVDs today. Both got really good customer reviews. I need something I can do from home when I can't make it to the gym.

Great monitor!
Erika- check into the one that fits into a sports bra. The polar will be good so you can monitor zones and mix up runs with intensity.Did you get the chip for the ipod?
Bride- :cool1: Nothin to hold you back. :cool1: You've got everything you need. :cool2: Bright Bright Fit and Happy Future! :cool2: Yeah, ya gotta wear shades :lmao:
Sarah- Thank You for the princess: Disneyland Fix! :wizard: The postcard is on the fridge.
Dawn- take care of him, you know how we all love him and how much he deserves a loving, beautiful woman. You are his bliss. :lovestruc

Hi Gang....

OK - today has been interesting to say the least.... having a front row seat to a political scandal has been almost surreal. I work at the NY Capitol and that place is just abuz right now thanks to the extra curricular activities of our Governor....

- I got word of an interesting twist on the job front that could get me what I want without having to uproot my life. It is too soon to say where that is heading, but it is very promising to say the least...

- the best news was that I had my JC appointment and lost 5.5 pounds this week. I still can't freak'n believe it.... I don't know what I did last week because I didn't exercise any more (in fact, it was a little less than usual) and I had a few splurges along the way, but the diet gods must have been smiling on me or something....

Anyways

Sarah - thanks for the postcard from DL... it is now hanging proudly on my fridge to keep me moving foreward....

to our bride to be - congrats on the home gym... use it in good health and may motivation always be with you...

3DK - hope you find the exercise goodies you are looking for and let me know how the kickboxing class goes. The BL DVD I have has elements of kickboxing in it and I have liked it so far

Kat - congrats on the uber critical co-worker noticing the new body... can you send him up to see me... the guys in my office are just clueless and there are no women around to say anything....

Dawn - we miss you...

to everyone eles - we miss you too....

Hope everyone has a great night,
Goof

PS - I am off to look for my construction goofy... That will be a cute picture of me and him in our hardhats (although, I think I look like a bobblehead when I wear my hardhat...)

Congrats on starting. Keep moving forward. Even if you can't do as much as you want at least you are doing something! Thats a start!

No prob ;) Glad you enjoyed it :)

Well I said earlier I didn't know if I'd do 30 or 45 minutes at the gym... I didn't do either... I DID 60!!!! Thats the most cardio I've ever done in one night in a long long long time!!!! 45 on the elliptical and 15 on the bike to cool down... I burned over 500 calories!!!! We made low-cal egg salad tonight... well semi low-cal but I had the calories left over to eat it... Soooo good!!! I hope everyone else is having a good evening :)

OMG, Paula! Did you say 5.5 POUNDS????

Holy Guacamole, girl! That is AMAZING! Three cheers for YOU! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Add that to the huge numbers Kat is posting...and...The PEEPS ARE GOING DOWN in FLAMES this week! :cool1:

I have the Polar F6 - in pink. If you choose that model, definitely get the "ladies" style - the mens is HUGE and will look like a grandfather clock on your wrist!!! ;)

Goof-:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: 5.5 Proud of Paula !:flower3:

Munk- :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: 60 minutes !!!!!! Way to move Sarah!:woohoo:

E- Way to encourage!

Grumps- Way to Lose:cool1: and Gain:love:

Bride- tell us more about your Star Wars Guy. One morning a couple years ago my son was talking about light sabors and how cool it would be to have one (there were a bunch of diff. ones at ToysRUs). I had a couple at school for my various star wars games. He knew I had wanted a new one because a guest teacher friend of mine broke my favorite. I thought a second and said I didn't want one unless it was real. My son paused and looked at me, we laughed :lmao: I stared him down :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He laughed and laughed. The thought of Mommy packing a light saber. He knows I've got all the moves down. I told my kiddos at school about the milk flying and Beau :rotfl: :rotfl:
When we play Star Wars they behave, because they are afraid they'll lose an arm if they don't. Here is the image Mary Poppins with a light saber. I do want a pink one, the little light one from the gift shop at Tatooine. I am so tempted to get one at Once Upon A Toy. It just wouldn't be the same not to have a real one. I love the sound they make. To be trained as a Jedi. Maybe we could modify the kick boxing class :yoda:. I would like to live in the Lake Country of Naboo.

I agree. My husband uses mine for that very reason. I got one years ago, years and they only had a couple models. The info. can be downloaded. When I taught at Middle School P.E. the kiddos loved it. My little ones now like my digiwalker, so much better that the cheapos they got from MickeyD's.

What letter are we on?

D Dedication. Sarah you are dedicated, one more :cheer2: for the 60 min.
Paula 5.5 you rock!

:flower3:
