In search of my body...not the one I ate!

Dont feel too bad. The doctors tell me I should weigh 198 pounds. At 6'6" I just stared at him  ...He must have gotten the point because he called security on me ::cop: :lmao:

I was athletic in high school and didn't weigh 198 !?!?!?

I weighed in at 265 and thought I looked good. I had dates so I must not have been the worst looking person in the world.

Granted I have gotten older and added more fat and less muscle but still !!!!

I am with you Munky....these charts and doctors are made by those skinny biotches and they have an agenda to take us full figured gals...errr uh men down :lmao: :rotfl2:

Anyway keep the faith. If you would be happy at 150 then 150 it is !!!!:flower3:

I'd be happy at 150 eccstatic at 140! LOL!!

Hey Sarah...yeah, I find these to be way low, too. But remember that some folks are ridiculously petite...light bones (not just small frame, but actually light bones...). WW online had my ideal weight to be 108 pounds (this was not the low end of the range as I am 5'2"...but what WW online said I should be!) Now, I have been thin. And I mean really, really ultra thin....size 1 and 2 thin...and even then I was 115-118. There is NO WAY I could ever be 108 and be anywhere close to healthy. My goal weight is 125 right now. I will likely be happy at 130 (particularly at the sloooow rate at which I am losing). Don't sweat the numbers. You know that you are doing great and making progress. And seriously, you are gonna be in ONEderland before you know it! Think of how great you are going to feel! :goodvibes

I had a GREAT workout as it turns out...I ran by best ever...5 full miles! Woo Hoo for me! Oh yeah, I am claiming goddess status this morning! I am still crampy and bloated feeling, but I am thrilled with my run!

awesome job on the work out!!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!

Glad you are feeling better! Great job!

Sarah, I am with you. I am 5'8 and they say that 150 is the top of my range. Well, at 150 I am a solid size 8. My ultimate goal is 140-145, but I think that those charts are flawed.

And for men, even more so!! My husband is 5'10 and they think he should weigh like 160. I met him when he was 205 and I think that 190 is about as low as he should ever go.

I am so tired today. I did manage to go and get my 30 min on the elliptical done, and at least my shower was warm today. I am very sore from Sunday night's trip in the attic.

I dunno who decided those things but its ridiculous. I'm really sore also! :( Hope you wake up a bit! :)

Wow... I was looking at a BMI calculator. I dunno why but I did... I input my goal weight for right now which is 155 since that would put me at 100 lbs lost. For my height I'd still be considered medically overweight. I also put in 140 which is what I'd love to be at and thats barely considered normal. I don't know why this is so shocking to me. 109-146 is the range it says someone my height should be. I can't even imagine myself at anywhere near that low. I don't want to look skeletal. Ya know? Anyone else find these weights odd? I'm 5'4... not too short but not tall. Oh well just an observation I guess...

I agree. I'm 5'4'' and 125 or 120 should be great for me if I am toned. It all does depend on the body fat and lean muscle. Sarah, next time you are at the grocery store pick up two ten pound bags of flour and imagine if you were 125 and lugging around and extra 20 that wasn't working for you like muscle does. If you were 125 and put on muscle for running etc. then it wouldn't be a strain. Add another bag to make it 30 and that was what you were carrying around before losing that 30 pounds. I am so proud of you for losing  30 pounds:banana: . You wouldn't want to carry those bags of flour up a flight of stairs let alone all day long with you. Another:cheer2: for your dedication yesterday!!

The size charts that really get me are the ones for stockings. I go up another size or two, so the crotch isn't at knee or mid thigh. Lets tone up gams, body scrub, body butter and skip the stockings. Let your legs glow and show off your hard work. I'm talking from the knee down, I'm not that brave yet. Shop for capris. Oh and please shave :rotfl: .

As someone with a 33" inseam, stockings are the bane of my existence.

And capris, good luck... capris = knee length. Short shorts = underwear.

LOL! I can't wait til I have well defined ankles... LOL! My dh jokes about my cankles (where your calves and ankles have no seperation)... I can actually almost see my achilles tendon!

Poor Kat :( Maybe you should take a pair of jeans and make your own :)

Yes, I think Munk is right. Tall Long Legged Beauty's could be your clothing line.

I am exhausted, haven't even thought of doing the training video yet.
My two year old is potty training and I swear if I have to ask her to go potty one more time I am going to scream. My 6 year old is only in half day kindergarten (not by plan, but by lottery and we lost). She is driving me nuts wanting me to call every child she knows to see if they are out of school. All I want to do is curl up on the couch and either eat or sleep and I am trying to do neither of them.

Ok thanks off to maybe do laundry

Cankles. LOVE IT.

Not me... :sad2: I can't wait til mine go away... LOL!

Sarah - I agree, those weight charts are insane.

Erika - we need a goddess smiley for you!:worship:

My friend is 6' and she has to buy a lot of clothes from this company called Long Elegant Legs...she is gorgeous and skinny and tall and blonde, but man, what is a pain to have to order pants!

I feel you, sister. My 3 yr old has been either perfect or totally insane all day. I think I'm putting her to bed at 6:30pm. Or maybe right now. ;)

Still sick. But I am in a size 16!!! :cool1: I bought khakis and they fit and I am so happy, I'd do a dance if I didn't want to fall down on the couch and sleep. :lmao:

Grats on size 16!!!! :woohoo: That got to be an amazing feeling!!! I can't wait to actually drop a full pants size! I've sorta half dropped but they are still a bit snug...

Congrats SeptGirl!! What size did you start at? I started at a tight 18 and am now into most 14s and even some 12s.

I am no long-legged beauty, that's for sure.

I do okay with jeans (esp if they come in long, or are boot cut), and dress pants usually have a large hem I can let down. It is the kind of things that are supposed to fall in a certain place (like bermuda shorts, capris, etc) that I have trouble with.

Cankles... I have heard that word before. My ankles and calves don't seem to bulk up, but I am the one that winds up more with the upper arm hanging over the elbow. Not sure what you would call that.

How Arbows?? LOL!!! :lmao: Mine were getting to that point before I started my diet... erm... lifestyle change... :)

I was a 20, at the start. Hit an 18 about 20lbs down. I weigh in tomorrow, and I think I did well this week, just from how these size 16 pants feel. I had the cutest outfit on today! For the first time in along time, my clothes felt cute!

I also went over to my friend's house, the jealous one, and tried on her dresses, because my size 16 dresses are too big and I need something to take to FL. Her 14's fit me. That was pretty cool.

Upper arm extra flab is wings! I love the term cankles!

SG - great job on the size smaller, and having to borrow smaller clothes, from Ms. Green no less...(I find amusing, yes, that's probably evil, I'm ok with that.)

I guess I have Thee's, or Knighs. Either/or, it sucks and I'm not sure I can help it without surgery.

Heee... this has turned into... I will take your cankles and raise you some arbows. No! No! I will take your arbows and raise you a THEE!!

Sorry, I find that all very funny. Sick, I am.

You know how your day has gone when, at 9PM, on the way HOME from work (when you get there around 9:30AM), you stop at the convenience store to buy beer and powerball tickets.

The wheels fell of the bus at work at about 4PM and I think I have them painted back on now. Not actually on, mind you, but at least a reasonable facade (think a painted on Tower of Terror on scaffolding).

That all being said, here is my food for the day:
B: 1/2 cup fiber one + 1/4 cup milk (80), coffee
L: Turkey/laughing cow pita (120), salad (100), cottage cheese (90), apple (60)
D: Ham sandwich on wheat bun (110), 1/2 head cauliflower (30), ff onion dip (80), 1 serving ff pringles (70).
S: 3 16oz miller lites (380), 2/3 100 cal ho-ho (65)
Total for the day, 1185. Exercise, 30 min on elliptical. Water, 64 oz.

And yes, when I picked up the beer, I deliberately mapped out my calories so I could have it and stay under 1200. A lush, yes... but an OCD lush!!

Everytime I read your Vandalay Industries I feel like racing into the bathroom or giving someone a bewildered look. Loved that Seinfeld episode.

Hey girl! AWESOME on the whole size thang! WOO HOO for you! Love cute outfits. I went to the mall today and grabbed some great sales...all winter stuff...but since we still have 3 freakin' feet of snow on the ground, I figure I will at least go some wear out of them this season as well as have them for next. It was actually FUN trying on some stuff today! Another month or so and I will do some serious shopping. And by June...look out! My credit card will be smokin'!

lol--I have used the term cankels for years! I have them even when thin! Oh well...

I am beginning to come to the realization that surgery will be necessary for some things....at my age, things are just not gonna bounce back without surgical intervention. :rolleyes1 The real question is...where to start! I just know that I am going to end being one of those women who is on the Today Show or something for being addicted to plastic surgery...lost the house, the kids' college funds...everything cause I had to have another procedure...:rotfl2: :lmao:

hey all... no gym for me tonight... Had pizza hut for dinner and watched Hitman with my DH and parents... Good movie... Even better food... I had 8 mild wings and 1/2 a Hawaiian personal pan pizza... I even kept my calories at 1050!!! God I love calorie counting... hehe! :goodvibes I hope everyone had a good evening!

Good Morning Gals and Grump!

I arrived super early to work today and left DH at home with the kidlets since he has the day off. It is good for him to experience the morning insanity once and a while. :lmao: I am sure to get the where is... (insert any of a number of baby items here)... phone call while he is trying to get everyone out the door.

I made it to the gym last night and did 45 minutes on the arc trainer (430 cals burned) and did a 25 minute weight training session for my lower body, then ran 1.45 miles (about 150 cals burned). It was the hardest run I have done. I don't understand why, but I kept getting stitches in my side and I was really short of breath. I can ususally knock out a little over 2 miles with no problem. I don't know what that was all about :confused3 . I am going to skip running tonight and add 30 minutes on the elliptical to the 45 on the arc trainer and then I will work my upper body. I used to do the recumbant bike but my PT said I should avoid anything that has me sitting down.

I really hope my Biggest Loser DVDs (I ordered cardio Max and Sculpt) make in before the weekend. I want to do those on Saturdays and Sundays since it is next to impossible for me to get to the gym those days.

Have a great day all.

Kim

FAB workout, Kim! Way to go! You have achieved goddess status as well! :worship:

Don't worry about your run...sometimes you have good running days and sometimes you have a bad run...no big deal. It usually just means that your next run will be a good one.

Out the door....
