In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Kelly - Awesome TR. I went IoA once and the coasters were amazing. The second trip on The Hulk was my match and I had to take a break after lunch. It looks like a wonderful time. You look great, too!

Ronda

Kelly - Awesome trip report!!!! Loved it and the pics were great. Yes, you are skinny! One of these days I'll get to IoA.

Erika - awesome job on the run. Gotta love it when your body can do more than you ask it to.

Lisa - I have faith in you. You ca get through the end of this challenge with no problems. I know it.

Hi to everyone else!!!! Miss you guys...

Had a great workout today. 50 minutes of strength training and then 3.5 miles on the treadmill with my new running shoes. OMG - love them!!! Got a few pointers on stretching from Jesse and so far, my hamstring is feeling pretty good.

Thanks for the comments about Tom's wedding. Guess he couldn't wait - hea asked her last night. I got a text message from him last night with a picture of her hand with the ring. Very pretty and I am so happy for them both. Should be an exciting wedding once they figure out what they want to do. I have a feeling it will be a bit of a destination wedding, but who knows.

Off to get dinner going for the family and then have to make two lasagnas.

I'll touch base with you all later.

Kelly! If I wake up one more morning without your TR - I'm going to lose it! :lmao:

:scared1:
Its up now for your reading pleasure :lmao:

How I wish we could have had a better showing. We got shelled 8-1. But our team is U-11 and the other team was U-13 so we really didn't have much of a shot. We played them 3 weeks ago as well and lost 7-0, so I don't think my coaching had anything to do with it. But still. I know Riley was really disappointed in me and that just kills me.

I really don't think your coaching has anything to do with it Erika - I know both of my brothers have played football/soccer over here from around 7 years old up to adult, and the difference between age groups is sometimes unbelievable - I remember going to watch my younger brother in a tournament years ago, he was U-10 and they played a U-12 team and got absolutely hammered, ridiculously so! Not that the U-10's were bad, just the U-12's were that bit more skilled and disciplined due to the age difference.

DH plays football on a Sunday morning and still comes home mad if they lose!

Ronda

You are too kind Ronda!
The 2nd time on Hulk did it for me too - we had to have a drinks break afterwards so everyones legs could go back to normal! :rotfl:

Awesome TR Kelly! We loved the BMG. In fact, I am thinking about getting to Florida early for the Princess to see them.

Paula - a wedding! You will look like a rock star!

Lyz - this was the house that you posted pics of, right? The ba-huge one?

Nancy - I am so sorry your visit is over. How long does Seth get to stay home for Christmas?

Lisa - Mad Man? Never heard of it.

E - Glad you made it through coaching. Wow, those kids are so respectful! I think it's awesome.

Yeah Kelly!
Saturday - Universal Studios

After what seemed like 20 minutes of sleep we were up for Breakfast before going over to Universal Studios.

I loved how close the hotel was to the parks,Nothing like that. People just don't understand how great that is! 5 minutes walk and we were greeted with:

I was so excited at this point! I love love love roller coasters - the bigger and faster the better!Me too! Our nephews prefer Universal. They often complain about the lack or big ones at WDW.

After the usual tourist photos, we went in:

We had a VIP tour guide who we met up with, which meant we went behind the scenes and didn't have to queue for any rides! Lovely. Makes up for the early mornings,eh? Or do you like early mornings?

We went to see Shrek 4D which was fantastic, also the Simpsons which was unbelievable Didn't know they had it! but my favourite ride in Universal was:

Here are some random pictures I took, I just loved how everything was themed into different cities, and of course the Christmas decorations were great!

Thanks so much Kelly. I forgot to count down to the picture of you. You look fantastic as usual! And I loved the picture with the dessert. So cute.

Well first of all it doesn't help that I did a typo. Whoops. It's Mad Men.

Really? Never? It's set in advertising in the early sixties in NYC. Mad = Madison Avenue advertising. The ways and the men/women/times - just so fascinating. It's hard to watch sometimes because things for women have changed so dramatically.

Erika - now the soccer story fits. The age difference - as you know - is huge. HUGE.

So cute with the boys.....

Kelly, loved your tr! Makes me want to go to Universal! Fun.

EriKa - I'm sure Riley isn't disappointed in you. Just overall. Bully for you for taking the challenge on mama.

Paula - glad you like your shoes!

Amiee - yes, one of the houses I showed you a picture of.

Lisa - your "shake your booty" - cracked me up!

Yes, Kelly, you totally sold me on Universal! And I have tickets just waiting for the day when we are ready...

Lisa--I know you don't always have park passes, but the Universal deal is excellent. $89 gives you 7 days worth of admission to both parks. Your ticket expires 7 days after the first day you use it, so it all has to be used in one trip. But even if you only go three days, it is totally worth the price, I think.

Thanks, Lyz and Kelly and EE for the coaching comments. I just hope that Riley doesn't take any heat for this at school tomorrow.

Kelly! Love the TR. We've been to Universal/IOA twice, and really enjoyed it. It's not Disney, but we knew that going in so our expectations were a bit different. But I must say, we were not at all disasppointed. LOVE the rollercoasters. Hulk, Dueling Dragons...very fun.

Oh - and you'll love this one. Here's me, reading your TR, and there's you in one of the pics (you look fabulous btw). Along comes my darling husband who peeks over my shoulder and says "who's THAT?" :confused3 So I start in with "her name is Kelly, she's from England, and she just went on a trip to Universal...." when he interrupts me and says "oh. She's one of your in-touch-with-your-body buddies" Men are so wierd. :lmao:

Paula - :woohoo: on the workout and new shoes! Glad that hammie is doing well!

Erika - :woohoo: on your pain free run! 7.5 miles. Pretty awesome! I give you a ton of credit for taking over for the coaches in a pinch. I would have totally called "noses" and been o.u.t.!

I took Seth back to school today. L-O-N-G ride. <bleh> A solid 3 hours driving each way. Becca came along for the ride so that she wouldn't have to rake the rest of the leaves that finally fell & help stack firewood :rotfl2: It was nice to have the company on the way home - it was dark before we even got there, so the whole trip home was long, dark and exceedingly boring. Thank goodness she kept me amused.

Seth comes home again just before Christmas (like the 20th or 21st) and is home for nearly a month. That should be interesting

and in other running related news....I believe that I failed to mention the fact that I rolled my ankle yesterday while on my trail run with Seth. I actually had forgotten that it happened until this morning when I was trying to figure out just why my ankle hurt! ugh. It's not fun. Nothing serious. It will probably just require a few days of *rest* and TLC but so irritating.

.

I know. I know. But isn't the parking $$$?

But I know. My chance to enter a park. :lmao: So funny, eh? Our DVC is paid in full and we glance over the park entrances like we haven't even been fed in days! :lmao:

so irritating.

Whatever. Tell him I wish someone was in touch with my body. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: Does he have a buddy? :lmao: ;) Forgive me God for I have sinned. But I haven't and that's the problem. Round and round we go.....

:lmao: HiLarIous!!!

The ride. OMG. I'd die. DIE.

How can you not enjoy a road trip? HOW? I ADORE the road.

Nancy sorry about your ankle. So Seth - did he keep his exercise bootcamp promise? Did I miss it?

Lisa, if I remember correctly, parking at Universal was $9. It was waived for us because of the show, so I'm not 100%.

Happy Cyber Monday Morning! I have more crap email this morning from every retailer imaginable promising me huge savings today. Super. Now if they could just tell me what to GET people, I'd be all set wouldn't I!

:lmao: HiLarIous!!!

The ride. OMG. I'd die. DIE.

It was really long. Really - I had butt cramps! :rolleyes1 And I get to do it again in 2 weeks. wheee.

I know. I know. But isn't the parking $$$?

I don't remember the parking price exactly - but I don't think it was all that bad. Not *free*, but not too horrid. I think Amiee is right!

How can you not enjoy a road trip? HOW? I ADORE the road.

I'm a great rider. I love to see the sights, check things out. But driving thru the trees of Vermont after dark doesn't offer much of a view!

Nancy sorry about your ankle. So Seth - did he keep his exercise bootcamp promise? Did I miss it?

No bootcamp workout. The big sissy! We did go running on Saturday - but his other workouts he did when I went to the gym. The deal was he had to wait to "abuse" me until after Thanksgiving, since I needed to be upright and functional to make all those flippin' pies. It just didn't work this time. Christmas break, however, he's kicking around under foot for a month. So I'm sure he'll get his chance then.

off to the gym - it's going to be an upper body strength day....

Good morning! Trying to figure out which way is up today--after the past 4 or 5 days, I am feeling so upside down. Food was, well, it was ok I guess. Obviously, not great. But certainly not nearly as bad as it could have been. I did great workouts every single day, so that helped, I'm sure. And I only had one dessert total. Which was enough. I never felt deprived. And today I am right back ON. Phew.

Ok, time to get caught up with work!

Thanks Amiee and Nancy - I'm just whining.

Nancy - I know your drive in the dark wasn't interesting. I was teasing Lyz - and how she hates road trips in general.

Morning everyone!

Now which dessert did she pick? Hmmm.
