In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Kelly! Welcome back! I can't wait to see your pictures and hear all about the trip! I am also DYING to hear what you thought about New Moon!

And GREAT attitude about food! That has always been my downfall. "Well, I've already blown the day, so I might as well do it in style..." and that is SO wrong.

Loved New Moon! I thought it was awesome! We made a real girly night out of it, had dinner, a few drinks then off to the cinema!
I thought it was so much better than Twilight (and I LOVED Twilight!). I thought Taylor Lautner really came into his own in the film, and he looks great! I can see why people are Team Jacob although am I still Team Edward (Hello, topless in Italy!!) :lmao:

Its only recently that I got that attitude towards food, before I would just think stuff it, Ive had a bad day so far I may as well carry it on (remember the day of 55.5 WW points!)
Ive just picked out a top/dress kind of thing to wear for our Christmas Party next Saturday, so that is my motivation for trying to keep on track! :rotfl:

Woke up this morning to 2 annoying things. First, the wicked wind that we are currently experiencing has broken a tree in my front yard right in half. And 2nd - well - I got on the scale and saw a number I haven't seen in 10 years. :scared1: OMG I'm packing on the pounds at an alarming rate. Journal is out, going running with Seth in just a few minutes here....

The "finished" product (because you know that as soon as the kids go to school on Monday I am going to undo the stuff that they did that I don't like and basically move stuff all over the place...)

I do the same thing. The kids just don't seem to have any sense of balance or symmetry

And the Bean boots? Of course! We all have them. (It's a Maine thing. Everyone has multiple pairs. It is a necessity. I am willing to bet that Nancy has more than her share of them as well, what with the farm and all.)

Actually we have so many Muck boots it's crazy. Love me some Muck boots.

Im not having the greatest day foodwise, but Im hoping to salvage it by having a healthy dinner instead of thinking 'oh well, ive had a bad day so I may as well have a rubbish dinner'

:thumbsup2 I need a bit of that philosophy myself. I've just been in a feeding/drinking frenzy here. I have been exercising, which is my saving grace. I can't even imagine where I'd be right now if I weren't working out. Gads. I'd be enormous.

'k. Off for a run. I probably should be wearing a hard hat because of the wind

Kat! Can't believe you ventured out yesterday, lol.

Nancy, your tree!

Kelly, yes to everything about it. I loved it!

I am wrapping presents today.

Tree - is doomed. It split in half, so the whole thing must come down. wah.

Presents. here's the thing. In order to wrap gifts, one must have first purchased them. But to purchase one must also have an idea. I'm clueless and my family is of no help.

Run - was so.hard. yikes. Screw Jillian. Just put an Army cadet behind you - you'll run faster I guarantee it.

Zhu Zhu Gate, Chapter 2

Ok, so it seems almost silly to write this all up now since the Zhu Zhus and their accessories are en route!

Wednesday morning, 7:30 am I put the kids on the bus and head up to Target. Get there about 10 minutes before it opens. It is totally different than the day before. Instead of just 4 women out front, there is a healthy group standing out there—maybe 15 or so? Hoo boy. This does not bode well. There is no way the store is going to have enough to satisfy everyone who is waiting.

BUT, knowing what I was getting into this morning, I am prepared. I am wearing running shoes and gear—good for sprinting to the back of the store! And I brought my own cloth bag (you know, the kind you get so that you don’t have to use the plastic bags every time) so that I don’t need to stop for and/or manhandle a cart around the store. I size up the crowd and quickly figure that no one can get back there as fast as I can! There is no competition.

I find my posse—Grandma Meredith is there with rape whistle in hand! Hi lar ious! The mean men are not there. But again, there are lots of other folks there (I assume because more people had this day off work?), so we aren’t sure what they are capable of. Grandma Meredith (I only call her this in my head, btw) is also wearing a really heavy, puffy winter coat even though it isn’t that cold out. She said she doesn’t want to get hurt again! Oh, I am SO hoping the bullies show up!

One of the other women of our new-found group is right up by the front door. She will be the first in. So we have to get up to her without shoving through the waiting crowd. Then Grandma Meredith has an idea. There is also a door on the side of the entrance way. And yesterday, that was the door the employee opened first. Ha! Brilliant! She and I go to that door. We are now guaranteed to be first in the store. And I know that if I am first in, I will be first to Zhu Zhu land. Other people in the crowd see what Meredith and I are up to and start grumbling…”those who have been waiting here the longest should be the first ones to get in…” And then one of the moms from our group pipes up with “Then you can just go back to your car now since several of us have been here since FRIDAY.” That shut ‘em up.

It’s time. The red-clad Target man is on his way to open the doors. Before he even gets there, he shakes his head, telling us that there are no Zhus that day. (And again, the men didn’t show! The definitely have someone on the inside!) But the Target man didn’t want to get trampled, so he was letting everyone know that there was no reason to come charging into the store.

Back home, empty handed. But we all know how it ends for me! Thanks to Lisa and Lyz!

Still, though, I am thinking I might show up on Monday morning after I drop off the kids. I am so invested in Grandma Meredith now! Jeff is , too. I told all about Zhu Zhu gate at Thanksgiving dinner, once the kids left. I told about you guys and the international effort, and poor Grandma Meredith who was in tears—all of it. And even Jeff is totally invested now! It is SO funny!

Ok, catching up, Part One...

I was talking to him earlier. Like "gosh darn it Chunk - no flash you're a dark mess - flash you're an albino Zhu Zhu";)

OMG, I can so totally see this!

Okay story. First of all I can't even tell you the level of joy and satisfaction I had to find both of them. I am competitive. I walked out like "no one knows what I have in this bag." "Do wanna see?":rotfl: So Paula - I do feel like a goddess.

This is EXACTLY how I would feel as well. Jeff and I even had this same conversation!

So I've been there a couple of times and phoned too.

Yesterday I went at opening for one of my checks. She said, "no but maybe shipment has come in and we don't know it". Okay then.

I had NO IDEA you were being so vigilant!

So this morning - no work and I'm still downtown (Toronto I mean) and I think I'll phone before I catch my train. And she says yes. WHAT?????? It's only been hours since I phoned. I ask how many and she says six.

So I say - since it's a small customer driven store not a chain - I'm downtown already can you just hold two for a short time. NOPE she says.

So I throw my things in a bag. Go into panic mode. I'm actually saying, "Lisa deep breath. It's okay. What will be will be. Calm down"

OMG, my heart was pounding just reading this! I know just what you were feeling!

Run for the streetcar. Miss a friggin streetcar. Stomach drops. Start walking to the subway and think shoot am I going to make it to my beloved Zhu Zhus in time? I spot another streetcar. Hallelujah. Run to the subway. Run up the stairs at Queen station. I'm sweating at this point. It's mild and I have a winter jacket on - fifties. And I just put moisturizer on not thinking I'm in for a Zhu Zhu run.

I'm coming my Zhu Zhus. I'm coming.

HI LAR IOUS!

I get to the store and don't see any behind the counter. That's where they always turn when they say "all out". Stomach drops.

And I ask with great excitement and intense fear.

She grabs the keys. Keys? :rotfl: Zhus Zhus are captive here. :sad2: Locked up. :rotfl:Rumour is they drink too much beer. :lmao:

And no more six. Two. TWO - did you hear me? TWO. Thank the Lord. And thank the person/people for not taking all.

TWO! Maddi and Kelly! Perfect!

And I take em. MINE. They are mine. No groin hits. Nothing. :woohoo:

So PM the addresses please and thank you. I refuse to send hem regular mail. My brother endlessly blasts US postal. Regularly meaning when we sent our presents to them. However, I have to figure out Fed EX here in town. At my downtown place I had numerous courier options in walking distance. :sad2: Oh boy!

So much joy finding them. So much. No accessories. Sorry.

This is how I amused myself waiting for the store to open one day for Zhu Zhu. Beautiful tree. All crystals. Picture can't give it justice.

This is GORGEOUS, btw. Love it.

Holy crap! Canadian rodents! Do they need immigration papers? :confused3

This just made me laugh so hard when I read it!

:lmao: ScErika. Perfect.

OMG, it IS perfect! :rotfl2:

Silly girls. Money talk. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: No money necessary. Funny little Americans. All the turkey has gone to your head already. Hey Erika - what do you have? And forgot - so lovely about your professor award. So lovely.

Lisa! Too generous! You know I will find a way...:lmao:

Hard week. Can't say much.

 Keep us posted and share when you need to.

:rotfl2:ScErika. Love it Lisa.

I know, right?

Oh, my girlfriends. I've missed you so much. And I am so thankful for all of you today. The Zhu Zhu hunt has me in tears, it's so funny, all the stories, but also so wonderful because you are doing this for each other. True friends.

Love to you all today!!!!

And congrats to E and Paula and who else lost? Anyone I missed? And E on the award, but we talked...hmm. Oh! 3.4 down this week! I weigh in again on Monday. We shall see. Tracking like a fiend. Hosting first Thanksgiving, so gotta go groove to "Party in the USA" and clean. ;)

Nancy, pics of Seth??? Ronda, your comments had me in stitches. Lyz, so glad you got a Zhu Zhu, and Lisa, you get a tiara for that accomplishment!!!!

xoxo!!!!

Miss you so much! And WOW on the loss! Awesome! Goddess Crown!

Im so tired! Florida was fabulous, weather was amazing, the parks were amazing the food was amazing! :cool1:

Erika - Laughed my bummocks off at your sexcapade story, sorry! Congratulations on your award, you rock!

[/QUOTE

So glad you are back, Kelly!

And glad that my sexcapade gave you some enjoyment! Ugh. Jeff and I still aren't over it yet. It was THAT horrifying!

Gotta go gang! This is my one day to really eat what I want. Dressing, oh how I love thee. Have fun with your traditions!

Oh good Lord, she's channeling Lisa! :lmao:

Kelly - can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Below is the Thanksgiving kickoff! Pie crust scraps with cinnamon and sugar. Let the feast begin!

Ronda

WOO HOO! These little devils are popular here, too!

One other downer... MIL had a bunch of cat scans last week because dr found something in her bloodwork that made the dr "uncomfortable".

Keep us post, Kat!

EriKa, just 16 more minutes of your 30's left!! Are you drinking?

Um yes, I was. :rotfl2: Though not because of the 40s! Jeff and I had a quiet night after putting the kids down. We were both pretty wiped. So we watched The Soloist (awesome, for those who haven't seen it) and had some wine and just relaxed.

Erika - go back Monday. They need you and it's going to be a *good* story. Love how you've named grandma in your head. I've started doing that with people I see when I'm out running. The size 4 women get stripper names!

Sue and I ran together Thursday and today. It's great to run with her again. We haven't had this chance for a few months. It's a little slower, but I'm also running farther than she is. I get a few fast miles after a wonderful warm up. I'm really starting to speed up and gain confidence about the half in January.

We are on the hunt for new mobile phones. She's T-Mobile and I'm Verizon. There are some things left to merge. I'm ready to leap to a smart phone and leaning to a Blackberry Curve. Sue is pining for an iPhone, but ATT coverage/service is poor for us. T-Mobile has zero coverage at my parents lake house - no bars, no roaming, nada. That's a strike.

E - how's the durability of the iPhone screen? Apple really burned me with the first generation nano. You give it a dirty look and it's scratched.

Kelly - get the cable!

Nancy - good work on the run! I'm sure Seth welcomes a chance to be the motivator instead of the motivatee! Sad about the tree.

Ronda

Erika - go back Monday. They need you and it's going to be a *good* story. Love how you've named grandma in your head. I've started doing that with people I see when I'm out running. The size 4 women get stripper names!

Ok. BEST. LINE. EVER. :lmao:

Geez I lost your quote. I could make up anything at this point, couldn't I? :lmao: I'll refrain. For now. :rotfl:

Ah Kelly - you're killing me. I woke up thinking Kelly's TR! Kelly's TR!

Erika - contact # for FedEX please. Wait there is something in my box. Whoops. Sorry.

Lyz and Erika - it will be Tuesday from the Toronto warehouse/depot directly.

I get ready to take the boys to our FedEX box in town last night. I get the Staples CM to explain how it works (I use FE regularly but the depot was five minute walk from my condo). So I listen with intent - think of you Nancy as he goes through the steps. :rotfl: Open here. Weigh here. Forms here.

So I say and the boxes go where?

Oh beside the box.

He must have seen my face because he says "oh we watch them".

And then better - And they are picked up when?

"Oh he comes every Wednesday".

 again. He must have thought I was leaving babies - I am! WEDNESDAY. You're watching them to Wednesday? I think not. :sad2:

And I think there is no way in He!! that Chunk and Jean Claude are sitting in a Staples store for close to six days. Especially when they would probably end up at the FedEX Toronto depot anyway. So Tuesday I'm down in that area.

Lyz - I want to hear about the rest of your shopping.

Paula - we have three weeks left in the BL. I can't believe it. September seems like yesterday. I'm down 13 for the challenge. Which proves my theory on weightloss. Time flies anyway - might as well be smaller. :lmao: Three weeks. So I decided that I would try the two weeks - skip next weeks weigh in - and see how that goes - in the safety of the challenge.

Yeah it's time.
Zhu Zhu Gate, Chapter 2

Instead of just 4 women out front, there is a healthy group standing out there—maybe 15 or so? Hoo boy. This does not bode well. Lisa! That is awesome. 13 lbs down! Good for you.

Hmmm, well, I am wrapping presents and just laid out everything I have and I am done with the children. Yesterday, all the other shopping I did was for me. Like I got an electric skillet for the camper. Normally $50 for $9.99!!! I got a little vacuum for my kitchen rugs, cause the everyday debris drives me crazy and I don't want to drag out the hose for my central vac. BUT, I'm returning that little vac. Didn't suck like I wanted it too. So nothing too exciting.

OK. Kat & Lisa. Explain the building in the pic. It was beautiful, but I haven't a clue what it is.

'k. Off for a run. I probably should be wearing a hard hat because of the wind

Nancy - I know where you can find a hard hat if you need one.

BTW - I finally went out and got fitted for running shoes today. After being measured and evaluated the guy brought out a number of pairs of all brands and such. I tried on a pair of New Balances first and didn't really like them. I then tried on a pair of Mizuno's that I thought was the winner but we still kept going. The Saucony's were not good for me at all (the heel was too small) and then I tried on a pair of Addidas. I kept going back and forth between the Mizuno's and the Addidas and finallay decided. I am now the proud ower of the Addidas adiSTAR Salvation Shoes. They are so comfy. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow. The store was great and a guy came in while I was there who is heading to Disney with plans on doing the Goofy.

The weekend has been a quiet one so far. Having dinner with some friends tonight so that should be fun.

Kelly - can't wait for the TR

Erika - the tree looks awesome!!! And, LL Bean's boots rock...

For all of you who are done with your christmas shopping, I am jealous. I just started mine today. ugh...

Talk to you all later...

Lisa - A 13 pound loss is a huge success!!!! Keep focusing on that for the next three weeks and don't be surprised if you end up with a 15 pound loss for the BL season. You are doing so great!!!! Truly!!!

Erika - Zhu-Zhu gate is killing me. OMG. We're going to end up seeing you on CNN aren't we. :lmao:

Erika The size 4 women get stripper names!

:rotfl2:

Nice job on the run! I so love the fact that you are gaining confidence!

And I think there is no way in He!! that Chunk and Jean Claude are sitting in a Staples store for close to six days. Especially when they would probably end up at the FedEX Toronto depot anyway. So Tuesday I'm down in that area.

Hells no! I wouldn't leave that precious cargo with some stranger for a WEEK! What are they even thinking?

I'm down 13 for the challenge.

:dance3: Awesome!

BUT, I'm returning that little vac. Didn't suck like I wanted it too.

<sigh> there are just too many places to take that comment. I'm just leaving it alone.

So Becca told me today that she wants a "room makeover" for Christmas. New paint, different shelves, etc. I'm thinkin' that's going to be a very viable option.

oh - and my mouse appears to be having a seizure. I don't know what the heck it's issue is, but it's driving me bonkers!

I am now the proud ower of the Addidas adiSTAR Salvation Shoes. They are so comfy. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow.

:woohoo: So glad you were finally able to get that taken care of! Socks too? Or just shoes today?

<sigh> I love new running shoes.

Im so tired! Ive just loaded all my pictures onto the computer but Im too tired to upload them to photobucket - I will be doing this first thing in the morning! Promise!

I just popped in to say LISAV - a 13lb loss is awesome - did you know you are 1lb off losing 1 STONE!!! Thats Fantastic!! :cool1::worship::dance3::cheer2::woohoo:
