In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Can you imagine you, Erin, Erika and Jesse at one of my workouts? That would truly send me off the deep end... :rotfl2:

That would be enough to throw ANYONE off the deep end!

Seriously, I promise to get fitted for the proper shoes and take it easy over the next few days to see what is going on.

Thanks for caring - truly.

Thanks for understanding that my nagging comes out of love  (and painful past experiences which I wouldn't wish on anyone)

now - if you could just explain that fact to my teenagers :rolleyes1

Okay, food accountability so far for the day...

egg whites omelet with 1/4 cup cheese (I cut it back from 1/3 and didn't even notice the difference) and veggies. Small apple juice......and....2 chocolate chip cookies lol. They were a thank you gift from someone in another dept for our work on a system implementation....have to eat them if they're a gift, right? :rotfl:

...

Hope everyone's week is going well so far. This week is crazy at work since they put a lot of system implementations in over the weekend, which never goes as planned, so dealing with all the system issues yesterday and today. Going to be a fun day!

K. Back to work. I'll try to be around later this week.

Omelette sounds good. What did you use for veggies?

Cookies, well, we all give in sometimes. :goodvibes

Apple juice. Hmm. Is this something you love or something that you are drinking to be healthier? Because, fruit juices in general provide a lot of sugar calories. You are better off with an apple and a glass of water... the apple has a lot more nutrients, as well as fiber, and a lot less calories.

Fruit juice can be as bad for your weight-loss efforts as a soda or even a beer, maybe even worse because it "seems" healthy. Not arguing nutrtional value here, just plain old liquid calorie counts. :)

If it's for a treat, though, then just track it.

Can you tell that, in a attempt to crawl back on the wagon, I have been reading articles online based on "Eat This, Not That"?

Now what fun would parenting be if your teenagers understood the whole learn from my experience thing?

I already texted Jesse to give him a heads up on what is going on so he can plan accordingly. No workout tomorrow for me. Just some quality time with an icebag and the couch. Just shoot me now... :rotfl2:

Cathie - try to stop and breathe sometime in the next week so that you can take care of you. That is what you need to remember. Oh and listen to Kat about the juice. That is some tricky stuff there.

As a general rule, I don't drink my calories. Only exception is alcohol and that is planned and budgeted for. I don't drink any fruit juices or soda or even a glass of milk. Well, I guess I drink protein shakes, but I don't count that as a drink, but rather a protein serving.

Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes for my kid. (And Nancy! I can't believe you remembered Pooh! I showed it to her and she just squealed!) She had a great day and was on cloud 9 all day! On the down side, I have more sugary desserts in my house than Nancy's bakery! Yikes!

Lyz--I am sure you are bone-weary from being at the construction site all day, but check in if you can!

I'm up for a little reminiscing tonight. Anybody else?

So, here goes mine. When I exercise, I find myself comparing how hard it was when I first started to what I am able to do now. I started out by walking up and down one flight of stairs at work ~ um, completely out of breath. Wow. Now, I can walk from the lower level to the 3rd floor (my floor) without huffing and puffing. Don't get me wrong, I am not the picture of fitness. I have a long road to go, but I am getting there. When I get discouraged, all I have to do is look back at how out of shape I was and it keeps me motivated.

Paula - so sorry you are hurting.

Nancy & Kat - I love the Eat this, Not that series.

Glad that made her happy! Becca has always been a Pooh fan too. She had the worlds cutest Pooh costume - a velour one piece jumpsuit w/Pooh head hood. She wore it everywhere when she was little. It was warm and cozy and so freakin' cute that there was no way I could object! So - yeah - Pooh fanatics kinda stick with me.

So awesome Amiee! :woohoo:

I had a much better eating day today than yesterday. Kept within my points range (thankfully!). Feels good.

Hi Everyone...

Worked out with Jesse tonight and stretched out my hamstrings really well. Here's hoping that I can walk tomorrow. I have scheduled a day off for tomorrow night so that is something to look foreward to. Jesse is not happy about it, but I think it is more because he is going through some relationship junk at the moment and wants to bounce the results of tonight's conversations with girl #whatever off of me. Sorry dude, you have to get through this one on your own I guess.

Off to get some much needed rest. Have an early day at work tomorrow.

Lyz - hope all is well.

Paula - I think Jesse needs to cut you a deal between the training and therapy sessions. I'm thinking maybe a free session once in a while.

This totally keeps me motivated. It hit me first when I was huffing and puffing my way through lunges when I realized that I had weights in my hand that were equal to what I had lost. It dawned on my that I was huffing and puffing every day before I lost the weight. Huge wake up call. Huge!

Tell me about it. I think it will come back to help me when I go to reup my package. He is already talking about cutting me a deal. Here's hoping...

He better cut you a deal! :lmao: Has he even thought that he might be looking at the wrong type of girl?
