In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

You look awesome Paula! I am so excited for you. Oh, my long lost aunt who found me this spring on Facebook is from Finger Lakes.

Paula awesome report! Thanks for putting up the pics. You look like a million bucks! WORD on the GAP!

Ronda

Ronda - I had no idea that Kansas City had a zoo. Is the run through the zoo?

I had a good weekend. DGF and I went to her brother's house Saturday. His wife and girls were off doing stuff and he had an apple crop to bring in! We cored, peeled and sliced the apples with a gizmo clamped to the counter. Lots of gallon freezer bags later we have apple pie filling for the winter. I like making turnovers. Now I have to make pie crust!

I had a "long run" Saturday. My MfM training plan has started. One week down. The long run starts out at four miles. Did it. It was cold. I've decided unless it's a dangerous storm I'm going to run in whatever condition Saturday mornings bring. The Tuesday/Thursday runs I'll be more finicky. I can't choose the weather on January 9.

It has gotten cold fast here in Kansas City. We're switching out summer clothes for winter duds. I've got decisions to make on favorites that don't look good on me anymore. Sigh... good stuff, too.

Kat - I envy your weather. Sounds like you need to make room for Dawn!

Erika - what's the party thing? Kid parties or fancy Paula parties?

Let's have a great week!

Ronda

Ronda - I had no idea that Kansas City had a zoo. Is the run through the zoo?

It was. In through the service entrance and through some of the newer exhibit areas. It was prior to the normal opening. It felt nothing like I expect the utilidors and castle to feel! The zoo is always hurting for money. They finally went "private" a few years ago and now gets to do more fund raising. Prior to that it was part of the city parks department.

Ronda

That's very cool Ronda. Ours is city/parks dept run. Up until a few years ago, it was in hot water with the zoo governing board (can't remember the name of it, but it's a national regulator for zoos). It's getting better now and it would be an awesome place for a leisurely run. Lots of hills and valleys.

Paula! You are freakin HOT!!!!!!!! :worship:

I can not believe that is the same Paula from last DECEMBER! Your hair looks stunning, love the glasses and you just radiate!

I screamed for Dan and all he kept saying was..."WOW....WOW..." :woohoo:

You deserve to feel like a million bucks cause you look like it! Your face is not even the same shape as the last pics. I think you look so much thinner then even your bike race you last posted! You may not feel sometimes like the body is loosing weight but you are changing inside and out in numbers, inches and zest for life!

YOU ARE AMAZING! Next year you need to send your before and after pics into People so they can have you on their cover inspiring everyone!I am so very proud!

Nancy - It's Alabama.

ah. Thanks. I wouldn't have come up with that.

No rest for the wicked. Just sayin'.

:rotfl2:

Cookout this afternoon. I made a white cake (all white, used egg whites) buttercream icing and a raspberry sauce for the center. It was yummy. Only one piece left, I dumped it. Yay me.

Yay you! I on the other hand, have eaten just about everything in sight. <bleh>

Before driving home today, I stopped at the outlet center that is out that way to hit up the Under Armour outlet. Picked up some new tech tees and then wandered over to the Addidas outlet for some new workout pants and then found myself in the Gap outlet where I bought my first pair of Gap jeans - EVER!!!! I am so over the moon excited about buying jeans in a regular store that I can't contain myself. The fact that they were under twenty dollars is not a bad thing either, but I really didn't care what they cost at that point, I was buying them. They need to be shortened, but I will get pics at somepoint.

:woohoo: Go Paula! That's so exciting!!!! And your pic's are fabulous! love the outfit.

Time to get some sleep for this ol' gal. I'm exhausted - and tomorrow is one of those hellish days at work. Holiday=apples. again <bleh>

Good Early Morning

Snow on rooftops and cars here - expecting actual accumulation today last I heard.

Had a party yesterday. $1,000 in sales plus 2 datings so it was a great day!

Wanted o do apple orchard today but we weill see about the weather. Zucchini bread making for sure. Need to get Treyner off a care pkg.

Kat - thanks seriously for all the info. Your area sounds exactly like my cup o tea.

Now there is just logistics to deal with in about 5 years. Selling house, Dan relocating job. blah blah blah

Nancy - Hope your day is a good one at work - I want some recipies on your faves.

Quick morning fly-by for me. Yes, it is 7am on a non-school day and I am already up and moving. Gross.

PAULA--HOMG! WOW! I mean, really...that is the only thing I can say! O.M.G. And HELLO??? You are shopping at the GAP!!! Freaking INCREDIBLE, you are.

RONDA--the party thing is a mix. Two soccer parties (families of players and the whole team, etc.). This week-end is what is called The Harvest Cup and it is a HUGE statewide tournament. Both Riley and Cammie's team are playing. So each team had a big party, too. Then there was a retirement party for my secretary at the University. My friend Karen's surprise 40th birthday party was this week-end as well, and I was in charge of getting her to the event without letting her know what was going on. And the 5th one (the last minute impromptu one) was also sort of soccer-related. A dinner party at one of our friend's houses with just 4 families. Our 4 boys have all been best friends since pre-school and now they are all on the same team, and all of that. So this is really mine and Jeff's "crowd" you could say. And since we were all hanging out together all week-end anyway, one of the couples just said that we should all just go to their house after the last game on Sunday. And the boys all slept over there as well. They just can't be separated during tournament time, you know...:lmao: It's actually fun to see them SO into it.

The boys approached the parents to ask about making this event a sleep-over for them and you could tell that they had planned it all out beforehand (thinking we might say no, I guess). And they said "We really need to keep our vibe going, you know...We have to stay connected so that we're all really in tune with each other on the field. It'll help our game tomorrow if we all stay together overnight..." We were DYING laughing.

KAT--looks like you better get your guest room ready...
:lmao:

Ok, off I go

Good Monday morning!

Add me to the list of didn't-get-to-sleep-in-on-a-no-school-day. It's a frosty one here - no snow though thankfully! Historically Columbus Day is an uber-busy day at work. wheee.

I'm really trying to recommit to myself this week. I am tired of feeling gross and sluggish. With all the things that I cannot control in my life, I really need to take back those things which I can. Wish me luck!

My girls had school today.

PSA: A 11y in our school district died Friday morning. I don't know the family. Apparently she had a heart defect and required a daily pill for this. She missed a few days and caught herself up with all the pills at once. This killed her.

Lyz! That's just awful! OMG - I can't even imagine what that family is going through. So, so sad.

OMG, heartbreaking! We are so careful with Kelly and her meds. She is at the age now where she want to take them herself and we still won't let her.

Good Morning...

I am working today. No celebrating for this Italian.

Finally caught up on sleep from the weekend and still haven't come off of the high of the Gap jean purchase. Need to get them shortened so I can wear them proudly. I had joked with Jesse a few months back that I would buy him dinner when I could shop in the normal section of the stores. Guess I need to pay up now.

OK - off to go check on the one crew that is working today and then I get to spend the day reading a site specific safety plan (c'mon - don't you all wish you were me know?).

I'm sure I'll be checking in from time to time today.

PAULA!!! You Goddess!!!
You look amazing on the photos! :cool1:

Kelly - Aqua Aerobics? That deserves a special kind of goddess crown I think. Going to the gym is one thing, but being seen in a BATHING SUIT? :worship:

Kelly - oh how I miss my water aerobics class. It is a great workout if done right. Wear your suit proudly my friend.

:rotfl2: The whole wearing of a bathing costume in public is part of my doing things that are out of my comfort zone! Number one was joining the Gym, number two is Aqua Aerobics! For too long ive stuck to exercising at home, where no one can see me because it was easier - well no more. Im out there and the suckers can like it or lump it! :lmao:

:rotfl: I imagine this is one bet you don't mind losing! :thumbsup2

Lyz - That is absolutely heartbreaking :sad2:

Erika - You are SO busy! Like ALL of the time! You are the most organised person I know! :worship:

Dawn - Sounds like the change of job is working great for you! Oh, and SNOW! Now?! Thats just crazy talk! Its very hit and miss with the snow over here - its either 5 inches thick or none at all!

Everyone - Hi :flower3:

Tonight is DH's cousins birthday and ALL of the family are going out for a meal - MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL...all of them! This is the first time I will have spent a lot of time with them all together since the blow up that DH had! Im not really looking forward to it, but at least DH will be there too - he has my back! :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great day! :upsidedow

Paula, you look amazing. Truly. Look at your face!! I am so, so proud of you.

Working today too.

Kelly, I am sure you look much better in a bathing suit than I do, but I make people look at my fat a$$ anyhow! Esp at WDW, where I pretty much figure I will never see any of those people again...

Lyz, that's terrible. Poor family.

I am loving the attitude Kelly. Loving It! You are a beautiful woman so stop hiding m-kay?

:rotfl: I imagine this is one bet you don't mind losing! :thumbsup2

Not at all...

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! Each day brings a new milestone and it is so much fun to have you all to share them with.

Back to work now - really.... :rotfl2:
