In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

I survived my first week back at work! Yeah!

They keep switching around my training schedule. The trainers for the various instruments have to be certified, so even though I was hired for first shift, during training I have to work whatever shift the trainer works for the first instrument I am scheduled to be trained for. As of right now I am training on THIRD shift next week, 10p-630am. Which means I won't be there for WW. I am hoping I can weigh in there at night and email the coordinator and then attend meetings once I am on my days.

The Good news about 3rd shift : TONS of extra $$$ and i will be able to easily get my weekly runs in. AND I will be around here more. Bad news is the affect on sleep and diet.

My BFF got engaged at EPCOT tonight!!! Her BF totally surprised her!

Happy Friday everyone!

WAKE UP!!!! I'm up, and I need the most sleep here. Well, the exception would be Kat.

Amy - 10:30 - 6:30, well the money will help. Yay for your bff.

I was up. At 6:35AM!! To make it worse, I got to the rink at 7:30 and no-one had showed up to open it. We waited until almost 8AM (gametime) before someone showed, and of course it rained on us.

And last night, on the way to the rink, during a rainstorm, my da*n windshield wiper broke! I had to pull over at a gas station... tried to fix it, failed, called D in a panic, and he suggested taping it back together with hockey tape. Totally did the trick. :)

However, I was about 20 min late and had to rush like crazy to get dressed in time for the game. Made it to the ice right as the game started.

So far we are doing much better than the last tourny, with a 3-1 loss last night and a 6-0 loss this morning (against 20-0 team from June, so we are rather pleased).

Hope everyone is having a great weekend... off to nap before my 5:45 game.

Hi Everyone :flower3:

We are home from the coast - a fabulous week was had by all, but now I feel like a big fat wobbly jelly, I SO need to get back on track!

I have read back, and decided to quote this, because it says it better than I ever could:

Thinking about you all. Hope things are going well for those who are enjoying a rare drama free moment in life. Enjoy it because they just don't come often enough. :goodvibes

For those of you who are dealing with life's issues, I am sending you hugs and good thoughts. :goodvibes:hug:

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

What is this?!? I am waking up the thread. Say it isn't so.

I haven't read a thing. Just wanted to pop in before working on my autobiography for class tomorrow. I have a purse update that I will post later.

Hugs to all!

I was up before 8 for the 2nd time this weekend! Just again, no time to post.

5K is done! I walked it, as I am a bit stiff/sore, and just ran the last bit up to the finish line. A friend of mine from a hockey board was there so we walked and gabbed the whole time. Went by quickly and was a lot of fun! We finished in 48:36.

Now, I go crash. :)

Wow Kat! Busy weekend for you. Ought to be good for a few pounds lost. Go Kat!

Okay, now I have the inchworm jingle in my head. Tell me someone else remembers the tune... http://www.feelingretro.com/toys/Ride-On-Toys/inch-worm.php

I've been running. Yesterday was awful. I was up late with friends Friday night and had a few beers. Out the door Saturday morning around 7:00. Ugh. Felt awful, but finished. It's just three miles, but going out three times a week is becoming compulsive. Hopefully it's in a good way ; )

We rented Run, Fat Boy, Run for the marathon storyline. It was pretty good. Hank Azaria does sleezy jerk so well. The little kid was adorable.

This week is vacation preparation. We are driving to Santa Fe (from Kansas City) and staying near the Plaza. We leave Saturday!

We went to the dog park this afternoon. Murray has conveniently forgotten that and now looks very expectant. We have to say W-A-L-K. Hee hee.

Everybody get a great start on the week!

Ronda

I was too busy talking to take any more pictures!

Good Monday Morning everyone :cool1:

Liz & Lisa - LOVE the pictures! So jealous that you guys got to meet up in NYC.

We had a very busy weekend. My *routine* was a bit off, but TGIM (thank God it's Monday )....back to my regularly scheduled lifestyle!

:

Congrats on your weight loss Cathie! :thumbsup2 Nice to hear from you -

Thanks!!!! It feels good to be a bit back on track...and hopefully I'll be around more often now that I've got this whole school schedule thing down to a routine!

That happened to me once; I was driving to work and my windshield wiper broke and it was snowing out...too bad to be able to even see without the wipers...And as luck would have it I as wearing pigtail braids that day...so I took my hairties out and used them to band it back together....it stayed that way for a few months until I bought new wipers!!!:rotfl:

OMG - that is GENIUS!

Beautiful day here today. Sadly, it's the last day of summer vacation - tomorrow it's back to school. :teacher: And back to getting everyone up and out early, packing lunches, and...it's apple season here in New England, so that also means back to lots of hours of working for me. drats.

newbie here.....found your thread quite by accident just browsing around the DIS. I am desperately trying to lose weight.....but I have been trying for years. Im currently at my highest weight and want this to be my all time high!

Im basically cutting calories and want to lose at least 100 pounds...honestly my only real goal at this time is to see 199 again...be under that 200 mark, cause currently Im way past it.

I have a trip to WDW coming up at the end of Sept, and am soooo excited about it, but yet also worried about how my weight is going affect this trip...ie meaning can I ride the rides? (fit on the rides)....this is so embarrassing! I have been to WDW before, but its been over 6 years, and though I wasnt small then, I also wasnt this size either.

So though, yes Im losing weight to help me at disney, Im also losing weight to find myself again and be healthy!

Paula...today is Monday. How was JC? :confused3

Sorry - work is kicking my butt and I am wiped out by the time I get home. Made it to JC and to the gym for a spinning workout (so need to try and get there before 8:30 though) and was not happy that I needed to wear a sweatshirt since it was cold out.

So JC results - down 2.4 pounds and drumroll please.... brings me to a total of 72.2 pounds lost so far. We did measurements again and lost another 1/2" from both my bust and my waist and an 1-1/2" from both my hips and my abdomen bringing me to a total of 31-1/2" lost. Sorry Erika but I am busting out the banana man... (only one though ;) )

Now, I think I am going to camp for one or two days this weekend and I usually eat my way through the time. Need to make sure I don't sabatoge myself this weekend and stay focused....

OK - I am off to bed. I need to be at work by 7:00AM tomorrow.... :scared1:

Catch you all on the flipside...
