In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Hi Gang!

Just popping in to say hello and thank you for all the prayers and good wishes. It was amazing to watch Genevieve be born! I'm so glad I got to see her "new"! It was a good delivery and Jodi did really well. She's resting now and the rest of us are home to crash, back for dinner time. Gen's in the NICU and holding her own. I am sure there will be ups and downs, but she's off to a good, if early, start. Pray that it continues.

xoxo

Liz - You are such a great friend! Continued good thoughts to all of you, extra good thoughts for Genevieve :lovestruc

Liz - that must have been an amazing experience and such a blessing for Jodi to have you there. I haven't been always up to speed on everyones personal life and I am not sure if your work situation has changed or not. But if it is still a slower time for you...maybe God knew that she needed a friend in her life just like you with the time to be able to devote to her and her new baby.

I forgot earlier - Lisa V - thoughts to you at this point of uncertainty in your life and I am glad you enjoyed every last moment in the place you had such fondness for.

I was in bed at 4pm on Sunday with a sickness bug :guilty: Feeling much better today though.

Ugh. A bug. Glad you are on the mend!

I find it so wonderfully fabulous that you were able to be there with Jodi. Hugs and prayers for all.:grouphug:

I got so caught up in the excitement of a new baby earlier that I failed to mention that as well. Sorry Lisa! :headache: But I have to ask. How does one *forget* about a hot tub :confused3

And I do hope that you find something more fitting than a 1-star Howard Johnsons :scared:

Just wanted to mention - so far so good with my journal & my water intake :thumbsup2

a little pouch (think bike purse ) for cell phone, a bit of cash & i.d.

AND I'm hoping a some tissue or toilet paper. See below.

I had to pee while we were out riding. OMG there was no way I could wait. We were out in the middle of no where, so I ditched it into the woods :rolleyes1 Not that I was truly "hidden" - the leaves aren't really out here yet, and I was dressed in a highliter yellow jacket. Oh well.

Liz! Such a time. It's exciting and scary all in one. Tell us, what does Emily think? I really need all the details. All of them. Email me. Or podcast me :rotfl:.

Go Riley! Your plan EriKa is so exciting.

LisaV - HoJo!

Please catch me up to speed...I have been going back and trying to make sure I get the trips correct...you are suprising the kids with a trip to Disney next week and then a cruise? Maybe I am totally wrong...I figured it would be easier to ask clarification than not...

We will be in WDW for 3 days, staying at BCV, then off to the Podcast Cruise for 4 nights. And yes, every single trip to Disney World is a surprise for them. The never know when one is coming! :rotfl2:

How long will Jeff be gone? Does he go to Asia often?

Jeff will be in Asia for about 2.5 weeks. As for going often, um well, we are buying a home there. But I guess you weren't around for all of that. :confused3

Hi! Yes, I want all of Lyz's details, too.

LisaV! You must check in when you can. Need to know how you are doing.

LisaPR--HI! It just feels like I haven't talked to you in ages! (It's me...I am a hot mess right now trying to wrap up the semester and get ready for vacation, and open the camp....)

Liz ~ please podcast!:lmao:

E ~ I love your plan. Poor Riley. I would throw a fit too.

Be back to respond some more in a little bit.

So, my day...

Since I couldn't go to campus and I already had my parents lined up to watch the kids, off I went anyway! Ha! :lmao:

Pedicure for trip - check
Eyebrows waxes - check
2 perfect skirts - can be dressed up or more casual
3, count 'em 3, pairs of new shoes - check (including this one pair that I absolutely love...super slinky, black strappy sandals with a great heel...about 1" shorter than do-me heels!)
Running - 0 (I usually take Monday off from running, but I will get a core workout in shortly)

Now, grading papers (of course) with Edward. Everything is better with Edward, right?

Love the fact that you posted before I had to ask... You are on your way to getting your whistle... :cool1:

You know we are going to need pictures of the shoes right??? Sounds like a very productive day!

Here is my update for the week:

strength training - 3 sessions
cardio sessions - 2 sessions
bike rides - none :sad2:
weight lost - 2.9 pounds

My JC consultant said that I have lost 20 pounds since the beginning of the year. I had to go and look at her notes because I didn't believe her.

Exercise is your friend.... That is all I can say.

Yes! Liz! Podcast the whole thing! :lmao:

Do what to the who? :confused3

20 lbs since the first of the year? :worship: You are doing awesome Paula.

Did you get to bike outside tonight? or were you in the gym

Tomorrow night we are going to see Phantom of the Opera. :yay: And my well-connected daughter has gotten us invited backstage! :woohoo:

Oh and I don't think I've mentioned. Someone won 1/3 of the Mega Millions Lottery Friday night with a ticket bought in my town. Their take $75,000,000. :sad1: And it WASN'T ME!

Paula - that is so amazing!!! WOW!!!

Podcast. Give me the list of questions you want answered, and I'll podcast for you. :goodvibes

Soooo tired.

Do what to the who? :confused3

Hey - did you guys remember that Paula said I could have a whistle? :yay:

You notice I didn't fully explain what she has to do for her whistle and she bought into it.... Shhh...don't tell her that...

I was inside tonight. By the time I got to the gym it was pushing 8:30.

Oh and I don't think I've mentioned. Someone won 1/3 of the Mega Millions Lottery Friday night with a ticket bought in my town. Their take $75,000,000. :sad1: And it WASN'T ME!

So sad that it wasn't you Lyz... I would have liked the opportunity to sponge off of you for a while... :rotfl:

:lmao: OMG That guy is so funny. Love him.

My food for today was totally "on". 29 points.

Water: check. It was somewhere in the 96oz range (I'm going to be up tonight, I can tell :headache:)

Alcohol: none today. After several days in a row taking my "Mexican Penicillin" to prevent that porcine illness of which I refuse to speak, today I was tequila free.

Exercise: biked a hilly 17+ mile route.

Tomorrow it's beating w/Erin day :scared:

Yeah Nancy... 29 points, 96 ounces of water and 17 miles (plus hills). I would say you had an awesome day.

Have fun at Phantom tomorrow night and watch out for that chandelier...
