In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

First of all, continued prayers, good thoughts, for Jodi, Greg and baby.

The baby doctors are amazing. I had to see a perinatologist while pregnant with Delena. I had some testing done that showed she might have achromosomal problem, and needed further testing done.

there are TWO cases of swine flu in FL. No shaking of hands allowed at USF graduation. So over piggy flu and I am not even dealing with any effects of it, like school closings and whatever. E- TWO weeks of closed schools. OMG. at least you are going on vacay.

Busy day here. I watched BFF's DD since she had the day off school for some reason. She's 9, so she loved playing and helping with Delena. We went in the pool twice and while Delena napped she wanted to watch twilight. I had rented it on Blu ray and I will just say that Edward in hi def is even better. :lovestruc

My birthday celebrating has commenced!! I am currently enjoying a martini that DH made. St.Germain, Absolut pear and some sweet and sour. At France in EPCOT they make a lot of their cocktails with St Germain. It is made from elderflowers in france.

Heading to disney in the AM. We'll park at EPCOT. Probably monorail over to MK since I want to ride Splash. I have not been on it the past couple times. It has been broken down the past 2 times we went to ride it. I plan on drinking at least halfway around the world tomorrow. I don't think I will have much cake or anything, I would prefer the liquid treat! It will be warm, so I will be bringing in some water for us.

have a good one!

Cheers!

Amy - Have a great birthday celebration tomorrow!!!!

Hi gang!

Erika - glad Cammie is okay. I was thinking about you guys and you hand sanitizers at the hospital!

So. I'm beat here. Just exhausted. Got to meet the neonatologist. Very scary stuff, but they are amazing at what they do. Jodi is going to have this baby soon. She's at 24 weeks. If she makes it to 25, it would be a huge deal. She's fine, the baby is fine, but the minute things change, it's major.

Lots of hurdles still, but she is in good spirits. I am trying to hold them up as best I can. Must go nap and then run her errands!

The baby just has to hold out a little while longer.

Amy! I stayed up until midnight just for the birthday girl!!!

Let me clear my throat....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!

Hope you have a fabulous day :cool1:

Im at work today - Boo! :upsidedow

I am out with the girls tonight, its my best friends brothers girlfriends birthday! (Did you follow that!) Shes new to the area and doesn't know anyone except my best friend, so we are taking her out on the town! :cool2:

Amy! Happy Birthday and what a fabulous day you have planned!

E - I will just simply say..."That sucks."

Paula - hope your dinner was good and the ride today even better!

The Festival of nations was okay. Have not been there in probably 7 years and I do not think I will be going back. But there was a blessing! Found a jeweler that sells amber and cross necalaces from the Baltic area and I have some wedding ideas! We tried some Lebanese food and Egyptian Hibiscus Tea that was out of this world fabulous!

Then we headed to the part of St. Paul that has a huge Cinco de mayo festival and that was awesome. If you are into cars at all and have ever seen the show, "Pimp My Ride" it was like that. One truck had 30 TV's in it and on it including a flat screen for a tailgate. I am not a car junkie and would never want one but it was amazing what they can do to trick out a car. I am just happy with a CD player!:lmao: We walked about 2 miles and it was a cool but great night!

For those who asked my insulin numbers - I got a call back - mine was 37.9.

I talked with the nurse and my sister who had 41 for a level was there.

We asked a lot of questions and we know that both of us have normal glucose levels.

She explained that obviously weight contibutes but since both our parents have diabetes we could be 120 pounds and still have insulin issues.

My sister is heavier than I am. She will never tell me her weight but my best guess is around 320. She lost a bunch a few years ago and has gained according to her over 120 pounds since then. It was the first time I have ever seen my sister cry. That was a huge a huge breakthrough for her and I am greatful she trusted me with that.

We had a honest talk and I hope we can keep helping one another. She is a keep everything inside type of person and I hope the fact that she knows how serious our future is if we do not get our crud together will help each other grow closer and healthier.

She is going to Curves 3 times a week and started bringing lunch to work versus eating out all the time. I am proud of the steps she is taking.

She just got a laptop so maybe I can talk her into checking us out.

I hope you all have a good weekend. Gone to soccer all Day and cleaning out the garage tomorrow. It is packed full of things we need to sort. That will be a huge workout! Brought walking sandals with today so we can hit a hike! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!!!

Hope you are having a fabulous day!!!!

Hey gang...

I had an awesome workout this morning with Jesse. We did two different circuits. The first was weighted lunges, followed by bent over rows and then shoulder presses. The second was squats (only 115 lbs. this time :)), followed by low rows and then chest presses. It felt awesome and I am finally starting to see some definitions in my arms. It is not much, but they are not as flabby anymore. Small steps, but I am definitely getting there.

The weather is looking favorable to get a ride in this afternoon. I am meeting some friends for lunch and then will be going to pick up my bike. Can't wait...

LisaV - hope all is well. The fact that you checked in means you are still alive... :rotfl: Please give Lyz some details!

Hi to everyone else, I am off to get the rest of my day started.

Happy Birthday Amy!

Hi to everyone else, I am off to get the rest of my day started.

My day started rather early. I was up, showered and out of the house before 6:00am.

We had a 4H Pancake Breakfast this morning, and Becca & I were in charge. We set up last night, so this morning was easy-peasy. Except for one little thing. One *minor* detail.

Last night, Stephen set up the big coffee pots. One with reg. the other with decaf (compliments of Dunkin' Donuts :goodvibes). We get there at 6:00 and Becca plugs them in. About 10 minutes later, I tell her to check and make sure they are percolating. Yep. She can hear it.

I carry on with prep, etc. 6:30. I realize that only ONE is percolating. The stinkin' DECAF. :headache: Yes, she had plugged them in, but she hadn't checked the "on/off" switches :lmao: The decaf was left in the "on" position, so it started automatically when plugged in. OY. Silly girl. ;)

We brewed coffee in the reg pot and put it out in air pots until the urn was done. So really, no biggie. Everything else was fine.

ugh.

Just got another "update" from the superintendent of schools.

The test results that were supposed to be in this afternoon will not be available until early Sunday afternoon. :headache:

So, more sit and wait. I am so confident that they are going to be negative - but it's still that lingering question of what if they are posititve...THEN what.

Oh - and can you imagine being known as the kid who single-handedly shut down a school? Even worse, shut down a whole TOWN?

That would be embarrassing. Can you imagine the teasing? Or maybe, I should think like a kid instead. They would think it was cool to be out of school while it is warm. :woohoo: The kiddo would become godlike. :lmao:

LisaV - hope all is well. The fact that you checked in means you are still alive... :rotfl: Please give Lyz some details!

Don't think I don't see what's happening here. When you guys want info, you blame it on me. I'm just not afraid to ask questions and harrass someone until I get them.

Ok AMY I really tried to get on here or face book to wish you a happy birthday, but everything kept getting in my way.... Like the kids cleaning the house! Oh so since yesterday day was your birthday you share the day with my MIL. Today is my nieces! Tuesday is my BIL. SO I hope that you had a great day.

So for MIL (surprise) party. All I had to do was host it and make a potato salad. Everyone brought food, which was great and they cleaned up after themselves. I was so busy picking up after the kids and dog, then making the potato salad that I didn't realize the time... one of the boys said SIL was there and I was like up they aren't supposed to be here until NOON.... It was 11:50. OOPS no shower still in my PJ's. I finished the salad told her to help herself and I was showering. I was getting dressed and my other SIL pulled in with my MIL and I could here her saying Hollie why is everyone here? I though we were going into Plattsburgh???:confused I yelled from my bedroom HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! As she walked to the back of the house everyone else yelled happy birthday and she told them they were all GROUNDED! :lmao:.
Stephen told everyone to get the stuff on the grill because we were going to eat before I left the house for work. So he grilled and I sat and enjoyed everyone else running around! So... I ate poorly and then changed and off to work.
I did manage to get a walk in at work ...not 3.5 miles but 1/4 of a mile. We have a pond in front of the hospital and I walked around that and then got locked out of our building so I had to walk all the way around the buildings to the side entrance. So all in all I think it was a bit more than 1/4 of a mile ... so it wasn't bad!

Bought a new lawn mower! Last year we just used my moms, stephen said that wasn't happing this year to much travel back and forth, last year he fell of the trailer with the lawn mower, could have gotten hurt pretty bad. So he went yesterday and bought a "new" "used" one. It even has the bagger, so no raking for me this year!
Now I just have to learn how to use it!:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:
Ok Zac just got up so I have to get him breakfast..

Checking in from camp. Painted and painted and painted some more. I HURT. But, we got a ton done. I won't be up here again until after Disney and then it will be to decorate, so that will be tons of fun! Except that I will also have to clean this place within an inch of its life. There is sheetrock dust and and dust from sanding between coats of pain, etc. everywhere. OMG. SUCH a mess. So while Jeff is in Asia, I will come up a few times to clean and decorate. When he comes back, he will be shocked! Can't wait for that. He has no idea what I have already gotten and what the plans are. So it will truly be a big "reveal." And yes, I'll post pics here.

So that is exactly what is going on here. Of course everyone in the know is doing all he/she can to keep the child's identity private. BUT there are now enough details out there that people will be able to figure it out. In fact, my phone keeps ringing of the hook with people asking me if I have figured it out yet. Um, no, why? "Because you know EVERYONE." :rotfl2: Which is true.

Back to work. Gotta put the paint stuff away and head back home in a bit.

Are you incorporating any Disney into your plans? Since your house is missing this key ingrediant? Tell us your plans, or are they a secret?

Do you really know, just not sharing?
