In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

I had to pee while we were out riding. OMG there was no way I could wait. We were out in the middle of no where, so I ditched it into the woods :rolleyes1 Not that I was truly "hidden" - the leaves aren't really out here yet, and I was dressed in a highliter yellow jacket. Oh well.
That is too Funny!

Steph - glad your weekend went well. And extra hours at work? :woohoo: for the $$$. Any word on the other job prospect?
Funny that you asked about the other Job! I had kinda given up since they didn't call friday. I got home tonight and Stephen said that they called and left a message. I celebrated with a mojito. Now I have to weigh how much $$ money I will lose and is it worth it. If it's only about $1 -2 cut in pay then I can handle that but if it is more I really don't think we can do it! Now on the other hand if they pay me the same than it's a NO BRAINER! M-F 9am - 6 pm with an hour off for lunch! right in the city so I can walk around on my break! Also they have an office right here in town (where I live) so I will need to fill in there every now and again. Nothing like commuting 1/4 of a mile to work.

Nancy--you hit it on the head with that question. OMG, he refused to go to school this morning. Flat. out. refused. He had a temper tantrum like I have never seen before. Oh, it is so unfair that the girls just get to say home day after day while POOR HIM has to go to school. And on and on and on.

Now, you all know that I give my kids mental health days from time to time. So he couldn't figure out why I was forcing him to go.

I tried everything. I explained that if he went to school this week, I would allow him to miss next week. (I thought this was pretty smart, eh?) Nothing. Didn't budge. There was no way this kid was going to go to school today.

So in the end, I told him. I didn't want to, but felt like I had no choice. At least it got him to school! Plus, he'll have fun these next few days planning with me. He loves to plan.

The upside of this is that the girls will be totally surprised by this trip. We have 2 different flights...the girls and I are going on Thursday and Jeff and Riley on Friday. So there is no way the girls will think anything is up since the guys aren't with us. Plus, they won't have school. So I can just tell them that we are running some errands, etc. I know I can get us all the way to the airport without them figuring anything is up.

And since Jeff is leaving for Asia right after we get back, I can even manage to do curbside check-in of our luggage. I can just explain that Asia is really far away so we have to send Dad's luggage ahead so that it will get there. They are young enough that they will buy it.

Then we have to park and head into the terminal/gate. This is where it will get tricky. I might be able to say that we have to pick up some important papers for Dad's trip or something like that. Again, they will buy it since J and R won't be there. They won't imagine that we would go without them.

So, I can get us that far...after that, :confused3 If we actually get as far as the gate, it will be awesome. Then I will just have them read the sign where it says Departing to Orlando and see if they put it all together. It should be awesome.

OMG that plan sounds soooooo good! I LOVE IT!

Now, grading papers (of course) with Edward. Everything is better with Edward, right?
So funny that you said that because I to have twilight playing! I was actually in bed but then I heard noises outside and looked and it was the ambulance and state police for my neighbor. Poor man has dementia and Parkinson's. So now here I am listening to TWILIGHT and reading the boards!
Here is my update for the week:

strength training - 3 sessions
cardio sessions - 2 sessions
bike rides - none :sad2:
weight lost - 2.9 pounds

My JC consultant said that I have lost 20 pounds since the beginning of the year. I had to go and look at her notes because I didn't believe her.

Exercise is your friend.... That is all I can say.
YOU GO GIRL!:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
Awesome job PAULA!

E ~ love pedi's. Glad you were able to get one in before your trip.

Paula ~ 20lbs. Fab u lous

Lyz ~ that sucks. You were going to share with us if you won, right? Girls trip.

Nancy ~ I agree, sounds like you are going to be up all night:rotfl:

Liz ~ please rest! Then you can share the details. So concerned for everybody involved. I can't imagine the ups and downs right now. At least she had a few days on the lung boosting meds before she arrived. Yeah, it would have been nice if she stayed in for a few more weeks, but I think we all knew that wasn't a realistic expectation.

Awwww - so so so precious. And such a big name for such a tiny little miracle. Sweet sweet sweet.

Questions - this is by no means a complete list. This is the first round.

How did it work out that you got to be in the delivery? Was this planned?

Tell us about Greg & Jodi? Their feelings?

Does "sweet baby G" cry?

Why all the plastic?

Emily's comments?

Is SBG in a ward with other infants? How many?

Was Jodi's labor hard? Was there time for epidural?

Does Jodi's family live nearby, like her mom?

Where where you when the labor started?

I'm suprised they let you take pictures with such a critical case!

all for now...

Paula - that is so amazing!!! WOW!!!

Podcast. Give me the list of questions you want answered, and I'll podcast for you. :goodvibes

Soooo tired.

Clearly, you must be tired. You didn't even comment on my shoe purchase. :lmao:

Liz - rest first. Then tell me.

Wow, this must be a big deal. Lyz is being generous! :rotfl2:

Love the pics. Thanks for posting them! So tiny!

Liz - I am glad she is doing well and your pics were great. Baylor cannot believe how little she is!

Paula - 20 pounds is fantastic! Look at you and your excersizing bad self! Congrats!

E - I knew the cruise was coming up from the podcast but totally missed the house buying in Asia. Thanks for filling me in.

Nancy - great job on tracking and water!

Steph - good thoughts to you on the search.

Lyz - I cannot believe it was won in your town! Do you know the winners?

Tonight at church was a life coach. Tim Storey. He works with loads of stars and famous people and after seeing him, I get why. He is an attention grabber for sure. Remarkable and very inspirational. Great service. We were thinking of not going because we were not done in the garage but we pushed it and again... that word commited comes into play. The amazing things that happen when you are commited. :worship:

E - I could not sleep and went back and found the long post about Jeff and Taiwan. I am sorry I missed it the first time around. Huge life change for sure. I hope however it breaks down for time that your experience will be blessed.

Kelly - I also saw your pics and wedding drama! You looked amazing and hubba hubba on the hubster as well! You two looked awesome!

WOO HOO! Waking up the thread! :cool1:

Cold and rainy here today, but I don't care. That will just help me to get stuff done.

I leave in 49 hours. Word.

Ahh Disney Cruise Line, oh how I love thee - 49 hours!!!!

Dawn - don't know if I know the winner. They haven't come forward. And if they are smart - they won't!!! They'll get their money quietly. I could so use 75M right now.

It's fun to think about, though, isn't it? What you would do if money literally was no object? :cloud9:

Morning all, flying through-:car:

Erika, have fun on the cruise.

Money, yeah I wish it were no object. Buy a gym, train for a living, run lots more races and travel with or without Mike! He would say buy all new equipment...

Liz, :wizard: to the baby. Keeping them in my happy thoughts!

Everyone else, :grouphug:

Super short update, ran yesterday 9:37 mpm average for a 5K. It felt good to get back out. Gym today, softball game over at 5:30, baseball game starting at 5:30 not in the same town of course. That is of course, hoping that the rain stays south of us (sorry Erika). Down 1 more pound with 3 left to go to match Valerie Bertinelli. Here's hoping she maintains longer the Kirsty Alley!! :sad2:

Later days all!!! :goodvibes

Oh please, like I have time to find and post pics of my shoes?!?! :lmao: You will have to see them when I post pics from the cruise!

Like you would accept such an excuse from any of us.... :rotfl2: I guess we can cut you some slack since you are leaving in a mere 49 (probably a little less by now) hours...

Liz - Thanks for the pics. She is truly precious.

Lyz - I am loving the Sweet Baby Gen reference. Here's hoping the lottery winners share with you (one can hope right).

LisaPR - Congrats on the run. Sounds wonderful.

Dawn - Life coach... sounds interesting. I know I have picked up a lot of good info from my JC consultant and from Jesse. Commitment is a strong word and an even stronger action. The results are truly amazing when you are committed to doing something.

Amiee - Thanks for telling Liz to get some rest. She needs some...

Hope everyone else is doing well this morning. Not much going on here today. The weather is kind of rainy, but not too bad. Tonight is Tuesday Night Dinner followed by my training session so it should be a good night.

Thanks for all the congrats. I'll check in with you all later...
Paula

Morning!

Raining here as well. It middle of the night last night and will continue throughout the day. Carsyn and I are heading to the YMCA tonight.

Busy day just getting house stuff done.

Graduation 1 month from today. Cannot believe it has happened so fast!

Hope you all have a good day!

I just was listening to a local radio station and they brought up a situation where a 17 year old girl was refused an ambulance because before a 911 call was picked up, she said the F word.

I was wondering what you guys thought or if you had heard of it.

Here is the link. It is from a tv station so the words are bleeped out.

Hum, was it a city contracted ambulance? If it was lawsuit is written all over this one.

Dawn, what kind of diet are you following to get your insulin levels back to normal? I'm more than willing to assist with some tips. Give me some examples of what you are doing and I can probably let you know how long it will take to get to normal again. :thumbsup2

Ahh, normal! Isn't that a jovial concept?

LisaPR ~ kudos to you almost to Valerie. Kristie Alley just doesn't get it yet. Rollercoaster and not the loving kind.

E ~ I agree with the shoe pic. Don't you know we have a shoe-fetish here?? Was Riley in a better mood today? I bet he loves that he has a one up on the girls.

Paula ~ great job on the call out, lol. :rotfl2:

Lyz ~ The way I see it, you are a long lost niece to the winner. Just sayin' Thank you for your list of questions!

Liz ~ Please say you were able to sleep. I think you need some prayers too since you are knee deep in this too. She looks good for being so young.

Kat ~ how did your shindig go?

Nancy ~ did you float away because of all that water yesterday?:headache: Kids still reacting funky?

Kelly ~ feeling better?
