In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Hit it boys....

And a one, and a two and a one two three....

I love it when you do this.

Day one

1) Slept
2) Ate a can of salmon for breakfast - ADRs anyone? :rotfl: Got to love DVC
for a can opener. Really I covet it.
3) Read on the BW porch
4) Had sex with a stranger
5) Drank rum and coke
6)Ate a BW bakery brownie and a fruit plate simultaneously
7) Trolled for male attention - isn't that cute? :rotfl: What a dream.
8) Watched the playoffs at ESPN
9) Drank a rum and coke
10) Went to bed

Days two, three and four - merely mix up the order. :lmao:;):lovestruc

:rotfl:

I interrupt this thread to ask:

WHAT???????

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

OMG. You crack me up. I've totally and completely forgotten everything else I wanted to say.

Sorry people....you may carry on now...:rolleyes1

I was going to ask the same question.... Lisa you are too funny...
Sounds like the trip was just what the doctor ordered.

Not much going on here tonight. Had dinner with my parents. Mom's meatloaf - yum

Watching Criminal Minds and catching up on e-mail. I love my off night from the gym.

How is everyone doing?

So now you come out and play. :lmao:

Just checkin' to see if anyone really reads each post. :rotfl:;)

Glad I could entertain. I'm home. I'm home!!!:lmao: Listen to me. Home! (at Jean's brothers - next stop on the gypsy trail) I've got a fu@#in splitting headache. The internet cafe boy started to spray windex everywhere just as I was about to lose it from the gas. God love him.

Hey Lyz - loved your FB HB to me. :lovestruc

Paula - you know I forgot to say this to you. I love how you take care of yourself re: boundaries. Jesse and men you know won't work out. I love that. I smile every time and think I want to be like you when I grow up.

Nancy - good to see I'm entertaining you since you endlessly entertain me to no end.

#4 ~ Awesome!

In other news, Happy Birthday Steph!!!

Not much going on here tonight. Had dinner with my parents. Mom's meatloaf - yum

:woohoo: dinner w/parents! I thought Tuesday was "family dinner" night. Was this a bonus dinner?

How is everyone doing?

I'm doin' pretty good. Feeling much more inner peace than I was on Monday, that's for sure. Really trying to keep the turmoil "outside", if that makes sense. Drinking my water, not my wine. Being a bit more aware of what I'm eating - and feeling the improvements. I'm tired, but I think that just is part of the busy-ness that is my life right now.

I've got a fu@#in splitting headache. The internet cafe boy started to spray windex everywhere just as I was about to lose it from the gas. God love him.

ugh. Toxic combination there  No wonder you have a head ache. Hope it goes away soon....

Paula - you know I forgot to say this to you. I love how you take care of yourself re: boundaries. Jesse and men you know won't work out. I love that. I smile every time and think I want to be like you when I grow up.

Lisa - I haven't always been like this. Working with the boys over the years have toughened me up. They just say it like it is and I have adopted that as well. I use it only when necessary since there is a difference between being assertive and being a b!tch.

Nancy - dinner got moved to Wednesday this week. It is all good though.

I am off to bed...

G'Night

Morning everyone. Not much here. New job offer. Things to consider. Headache forming. Run needed.

LisaV:  Tee hee.

Steph: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Sorry I missed it.

Erika: Would you do the Sea Dog 5K? Just wondering if it is worth the drive.

Everyone else...:flower3:

Sorry, too much to think about. Changes for my family in store and not good ones for awhile. My kids have had me home and at their beckoned call for 13 years now (well David for only 7 but that is just semantics) and if I take this job, I will be an hour away every day, no days off during the week. From 32 to 40 hours and 24/7 on call for system crashes. Just overloaded. :headache:

So - last nights WW. I am now back up to needing to lose 7lbs - yes, I gained 3lbs in two weeks. :sad2:

So today I am already halfway through my first litre of water, my second litre is in the fridge upstairs at work. I have hid the Tin O' Sin in the cupboard (its banging on the door to get out but I wont let it!) and I have planned my food for the whole day!

Breakfast - 2 crumpets and extra light spread - 3 points
Snack - Sweet Chilli Snack-A-Jacks - 1.5 points
Lunch - Wafer thin ham sandwich on wholemeal bread with mustard - 2 points
Salt and Vinegar ChipStix - 1.5 points
WW Orange and Nectarine Yoghurt - 0.5 points
Snack - 2 apples - 1 point
Dinner - WW Quiche Lorraine - 6 points
New Potatoes - 2 points
Carrot and Beetroot Salad - 0 points

Total - 17.5 points. That gives me 2.5 points for a treat whilst Grey's Anatomy is on!

Thank you for the humor this morning :rotfl2:

My highlight today is scheduling "strawberry picking" for my children this weekend :)

I am so sore, I did my elip yest on the intense setting for weight loss - 30 min=464 cal...........but I dread having to do it again :confused3

Rainy and muggy here in NJ...................may try and run tonight........(time will tell)

Hi -
I give up - testing sending things.

My computer keeps having internet explorer issues. Will not let me send long messages. I will try later. Can read all - just not post -so frusterating!

Graduation is this weekend.

Up to my neck in last minute things.

I am out of town for most of this summer and need to at least get my excersize in - better food choices - all basic and I have not been dedicated and the scale shows.

I have read all - will try later

Good morning everyone...

Swim-Mom - sorry for the muggy weather, but yeah on the elliptical workout.

Kelly - seven pounds is nothing. You can have that off in a month. Look at you all focused. Love it. Oh and show that Tin o Sin who is boss... It can stay in the cupboard!

Not much going on here today. I have a big meeting about a potential project this afternoon (something to do - yeah!!!) and dinner with the committee who put the NAWIC event together. And then I get to go and get my butt kicking at the gym. It figures, because the weather is gorgeous and I can't get out on my bike... :confused3 Thankfully, the weekend weather looks good so I will be on it then.

Have a great day everyone!

That is a lot to consider. Finding the balance that is right for you and your family can be such a challenge. Good luck....

 Let's hope that easy "on" will result in easy "off" as well. If you need someone to put a lock on the door so that tin'o'sin doesn't bust out, let me know. We'll arrange something :rolleyes1

YUM! I love fresh strawberries! What are you going to do with them?

Graduation is this weekend.

How are you holding up? I'm going to be an absolute wreck. Ours is 3 weeks from today...

I've been having wonky issues with this site as well. Not sure why, but it's been totally annoying me.

LIZ! How was dinner? popcorn::

Had my session with Erin this morning. All lower body followed by 30 minutes on the elliptical :scared1: My legs feel like jelly and my butt is in spasms. Trying to muster up the strength to drag myself up the stairs to shower! Then it's off to the high school for Underclassmen Awards....wheeeee

LisaPR - job offer??? wow - read so quick I missed that - sorry...
It can be exciting and yet nervewracking all at the same time. I'm sure the best decision for you and your family will come to you. Thinking good thoughts for you. :goodvibes

Nancy - sounds like a killer workout... I am sore just thinking about it. Remind me never to introduce Erin to Jesse... :rotfl:
Have fun at the awards ceremony.

Dawn - I am so buying stock in kleenex because you and Nancy are going to go through cases of the stuff this summer. Enjoy the festivities and cherish the memories.

Amiee - before I forget, yay to Degrassi love.

Lisa V, how have you not weighed in on this? Or did you and I just missed it? Could be me. I'm torn lately, so I am sure I am missing things.

Lisa PR, okay, job. Is this more money and promotion? Is that why it's weighing on you? Those are serious considerations, but so is the time away from your family. Again, I apologize if you said all this and I only got part of it. I actually have a good suggestion for you, if you want one. I'm reading a great book called 10-10-10. It's about making decisions, just like this one. You frame a question and then ask it and then you project, how would this affect me in ten minutes, ten months, ten years. You can find more information by googling the author, or I recommend reading the book. I've not needed it yet, but I love how she writes about how we make decisions, values, etc. I think you'd really like it.

Wait - here's the website if anyone is interested. If you click on the top "10", it explains each step.

Kelly do you know, I almost typed Bella? Aww. Memories...anyhoo. I think 3lbs is totally reasonable as a gain. It could be worse! It's just showing that you were doing really well before, bc your body was like, the heck? Concert with the mother in law. Tell me more! Also, where are you guys on Grey's? We can talk finale when you get there. :thumbsup2

Dawn - good luck! Hang in there!

Nancy - 3 weeks? Does that seem late? We graduate earlier...ah, Catholic schools. That's it. The kid across the street is done already. (I care bc he's my best friend from high school's nephew, and I've known him since he was tiny. Also, Emily is in LOVE with him.)

I am super impressed with your commitment to training, Nancy. Really. My a$$ hasn;t seen the gym in weeks, and here you are, keeping on.

Dinner. Was good. ;) You want the whole story?

So far, so good on the tin staying in the cupboard - 2 more hours to go then I can go home away from the evil thing!

Aww, Bella! I loved my nickname!
I guess 3lbs isn't too bad, and its not like I didn't deserve it and it didn't come as a surprise - I ate the food after all!

Yes, the concert with the MIL. We are going to see a 'BoyBand' that she likes, so I roped my mum and aunt into coming with us :rotfl2: It should be.....interesting. We like to go for a drink before a concert, and MIL refuses to go to the bar herself (real ladies don't go to the bar for their own drinks!). Now, I don't mind getting a round in when its my turn, but I expect everyone to take a turn and go to the bar! :rotfl2:

Grey's Anatomy - Loving this series! According to the TV guide tonights episode is 20 of 24 and the description is 'Izzie plans Merediths wedding'. Very exciting!

interesting. I'm going to check that one out.

it is on the later side. The private schools around here have been having their graduations already - but most of the public's are mid-late June.

I am super impressed with your commitment to training, Nancy. Really. My a$$ hasn;t seen the gym in weeks, and here you are, keeping on.

Honestly Liz, working out is as much for my mental health as it is my phsyical health. I need it. Consistantly. It's like 5 therapy sessions a week. Whatever it is about it - the endorphines? the solitude? I don't know- but whatever....it is my time to clear my mind and resolve my *issues* :goodvibes

And dinner story? I'd love to know!

Heck. If she's making you schlep up to the bar and get her drinks, she'd better be buying yours for you!:drinking1

time to get some chores done.....why is it that the laundry pile seems to just take on a life of it's own? :laundy:

Hi Dawn. Exciting times.

Good morning everyone...

Swim-Mom - sorry for the muggy weather, but yeah on the elliptical workout.

Have a great day everyone!

Totally agree Paula. Totally agree.

Had my session with Erin this morning. All lower body followed by 30 minutes on the elliptical :scared1: My legs feel like jelly and my butt is in spasms. Trying to muster up the strength to drag myself up the stairs to shower!

Isn't that the best though Nancy! The best feeling ever.

Amiee - before I forget, yay to Degrassi love.

Dinner. Was good. ;) You want the whole story?

Liz. I did. It was in the middle of my rambling about the gas in the internet cafe. Go back a page or two.

I was missing you yesterday. I'm like where is the mayor of Crazytown when I need her. :lmao::lovestruc

So far, so good on the tin staying in the cupboard - 2 more hours to go then I can go home away from the evil thing!

MIL. She's young though. Where does she get these things about the bar? So funny Kelly. I mean Bella. :rotfl:

Honestly Liz, working out is as much for my mental health as it is my phsyical health. I need it. Consistantly. It's like 5 therapy sessions a week. So true. So true. Shaking my head so true. I always tell people working out is my mental health. Well that and salmon.

And I'm suffering here Nancy. No machines. So fine - go onto Jillian or do your kicks for all intervals. No weights. So fine - do more push ups for the weight intervals and then I get tired of thinking. I've got to get on it. Sick too. kasfdjladskfjldskfjlaskdjfl;ksd.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Lisa P/R - exciting times with the job. Tell us more about it.

Um -yeah - I want the dinner story.

Ugh to deciding weather to go to work outside the home. That's a hard one. At least your kids are school age now. And your daughter can watch your son - when she's not at practice. More money is more money.

We got the hogs out last night. First Joe Perry (black one). (Steven Tyler (white) is at least 30 more lbs than JoeP.) JoeP gets out and he's a scardy cat. Doesn't understand why we are subjecting him to a walk. He runs around like a mad man. We put him back in and get out Steven. While Mol is walking around with him, I put feed in the pen so JoeP gets a chance to eat without Stevens bullying ways. Steven goes into convusions. He heard the food hit the trough. And he could see JoeP eating. HE. WANTED. BACK. IN. Bad. He went round and round the fence for 10 minutes. Good excercise for him. He was moaning and groaning. It was funny.

Ok, must work. Or pretend to. Tootles.

Lyz,!!

LisaV, sorry that things are so crazy. Wish I could send you our weight set to use for a while (since I use the gym and D, well, we won't go there).

LisaPR, I can't really weigh on your dilemna as I have never been there. I can just send you a  as you work it out.

Kelly, how far are you w/ CSI:NY?? I can't wait to get your reaction from the season finale.

I think I have finally gotten past the hump of getting back on track eating-wise. Or at least, I no longer am looking at my coworkers and judging how much meat I could get out of each one...
