In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Hi all! I can't believe that I haven't posted all day! How the hell did that happen?

Ok, so my a$$ wasn't nearly as sore as I thought it would be. SCORE.

I was thinking of Lyz earlier since I knew she would get such a kick out of this--
I was at baseball practice with Kel so I had some time to kill. So naturally I planned to run. ;) Got my 3 miles in by going around the block where the field like 6 times.

There are 2 fields there. Kel's practice was on one and there was a game on the other field, where teams from Riley's league were playing. Which means I knew all of the moms who were sitting there in their chairs as I ran in freaking circles for half an hour.

And you know that I HATE running in public. The only thing I held on to was that I was doing something healthy while they were all lined up for the ice cream truck as it came trolling by. Ha!

There were about 10 minutes of practice left before it was over, so what did I do next? OMG, I still can't believe it. I found a spot on the lawn, away from everyone but in plain view since it is a field and all, and did a core workout! :rotfl2: Just got right down in the grass and did 150 crunches, planks, bicycles, etc. I did NOT do any spider-man exercises (spider planks, spider push-ups, etc.) as I still had SOME wits about me.

:lmao:You are such a freakshow!

She would be hunting me down, lol. :lmao:

Fo Shizzle!

Buy your tickets Paula! We'll pick you up at the airport, lol. If mom isn't able to join us, that gives me a bigger excuse to book the 2nd podcast cruise. :rolleyes1

:woohoo:Golly - that's a long vakay!!! So exciting. I need the dining plans.

I will have dining plans ready for your viewing pleasure tomorrow evening. Might need to change things around a bit. One thing I forgot to add was that Ryan is going to pick a day for his unbirthday celebration.

I have 5 weeks of time off coming to me this year. I didn't use one last year, so I rolled it over. I've only used 1 day, so far. Agh, must take more time off.

thanks for the welcome, my life has been quite crazy since January so here is the short of it:

About to turn 35 in Nov, married for 13 years together for 18 years, we have four children 12 (this month), 10, and twins 6. My dh is amazing, and supportes with regardless how crazy it is ------like doing the 1/2 in March

Just completed my Masters in counseling, and looking for a school position.

I am also a cordinator for an AuPair Agency, had a couple as well as exchange students (love the experience as do my children).

I teach at a local community college, here in NJ all you need is your masters -I teach psy, soc, and college skills (entry level-love it).

I was running almost 4 miles a day 3 to 4 days a week, but lost my mojo to complete grad school --- there is only so much a person can do :)

Lastly, all of my children are on a swim team - so we travel to meets and practice daily!!

Sorry to be long winded, but that is the short of it :goodvibes

Long-winded? No such thing! Welcome :cool1:

Wow. You are a vampire super-woman :worship: :rotfl:

Kelly - how is life on your side of the pond?

Just peachy! Everything seems to be settling down nicely with MIL (possibly because I haven't seen her!) so all is good......:yay:

WOO HOO! Here I go again! Let's get moving!

Good morning! :lmao: Im laughing because I've just eaten my lunch (roasted vegetable cous-cous if anyone is interested) and im saying good morning...what can I say, im easily amused!

So last night I had a think and Im going to WW tonight, so my goals are:

Track 5 times a week
Drink 2 litres of water a day
Make better food choices

Im not going to put an amount on weight-loss, simply because at this point I dont know how much I need to lose (again) - I skipped WW last week im ashamed to admit :sad2: BUT, I am going back tonight!

The way I figure it - if I make better food choices and drink the water I am supposed to then the weight loss will follow!

Also, I haven't put a target on the exercise I want to do - again, I KNOW that by drinking the water I will feel much healthier - not as lethargic, sluggish, tired - whatever! So, when the water kicks in the exercise will follow.

I have started getting off the bus one stop early, which adds 10 minutes walking time so every little helps!

Sorry for babbling, have a great day everyone! :upsidedow

Good morning everyone!!!!

Just a quick drive by to say hi...

Amiee - those travel plans sound heavenly. I haven't taken that much time off for one trip in over ten years. I only did it then because I was going to Italy and you need more than one week. And yes, you do need to take more time off. It really does keep you from getting burnt out. Can't wait for the dining plans.

:lmao:You are such a freakshow![/B][/COLOR]

And I thought I was the only one who thought that...
Granted, she is a lovable freakshow...

Just peachy! Everything seems to be settling down nicely with MIL (possibly because I haven't seen her!) so all is good......:yay:

Can't argue with that. Glad things are quieting down on that front. Good luck at WW tonight....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!!!:cake:

Nancy - waterworks are totally allowed during Seth's senior activities. Bring on the tissues. Good luck tomorrow with that day.

Hot stock tip - buy Kleenex stock. I'll be going thru case loads soon

Lost .7 pounds this week. I am happy with that, but really need to get my sweet tooth under control. Random cookies are finding their way into my mouth. I am actually going and buying these insidious things so something is up. No more cookies for me. I am done with that.

:woohoo: Nice job on the loss Paula. AGAIN. You just keep plugging away at it! Slow and steady totally wins in this race!

As for the cookies? Mindless eating. That's been one of my downfalls recently as well. Mindless. I'm trying to be a bit more aware of what I'm eating and when. Truth is, I'm often not even hungry when I'm popping crap into my mouth....

And now to wet everybody's whistle ~ The Plan! The Plan! <cue Tattoo>

:yay: Gosh I want to be at Disney right now....Mickey, take me away! :goodvibes

Becca informed us the other night after her return from Washington DC -that she is "done" with "educational vacations". She doesn't want to have to learn anything new. ever. while she is on vacation! And the ONLY vacation she will ever enjoy, EVER is Disney. (ack. When she finds out that I'm trying to work out a trip to Williamsburg this summer she is going to go postal :scared:)

Everything seems to be settling down nicely with MIL (possibly because I haven't seen her!) so all is good......:yay:

well, and wedding stress is passed, so hopefully that will help her to be a bit more human :confused3

The way I figure it - if I make better food choices and drink the water I am supposed to then the weight loss will follow!

I agree. And the extra walk from the bus will help as well.

Short bike ride for me today. Met with our financial guy (pretty laughable right now - since most of our investments are currently in the tank. :headache:) Now for the vet visit, Costco run, 4H meeting.....and a multitude of "little" things in between.

Im hoping it was just wedding stress for MIL, it would be nice for her to be more human and for us to get on! Well, we will find out on Saturday, Im going to a concert with her and her friend (im also dragging my mum and aunt with me for moral support :rotfl:)

I agree. And the extra walk from the bus will help as well.

I thought I would take advantage with the weather being much more pleasant - its not an easy 10 minute stroll, its slightly uphill so its a little more taxing on the legs :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Steph!!!!!

Hope you are having a fabulous day!!!!

I *AM* a lovable freakshow! :lmao:

Steph! Happy Birthday! What is it, 46? :rotfl2::lmao: I slay me.

Lyz--um, you're welcome? But what did I do?

Paula--WOO HOO on the loss. Down is down, baby!

Kelly--good luck at WW! We are here for you!

Nancy--phew! What a day!

I just put the total on my car for the last two days to $1100. Sigh. But it has a happy new windshield (because I'm stupid) and new tires.

I am about ready to chew nails I am so hungry. I hate restricting intake but that is the only way that I will get back down to a reasonable weight. I could ease into it I guess but I am no good at that, generally.

I did just eat a 1/2 cup of fiber one, hopefully that will kick in and I won't start gnawing on my cube walls.

Plus TOM comes tomorrow. It is generally a good day to stay out of my way, I think.

Can this week be over now?

Nancy, I agree with Paula. Cry as much as you want.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!!

Hang in there Kat... The week has got to get better right? The hunger will fade in time, you know that. Just stay focused on the end game. Besides, cubicle walls are not very tasty...

STEPH!

Steph, my little birthday girl - I've snuck into an internet cafe simply to say.....

Hit it boys....

And a one, and a two and a one two three....

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Steph!
An oh so happy birthday to you...

Hope your day has been fabulous so far Steph. Have a wonderful night.

Funniest line ever! :lmao::lovestruc;)

Welcome swim-mom. I didn't miss a name, did I? Could have. I can't think. I'm in an internet cafe that smells, beyond smells like no one light a match, of gas. Like my head needs to some extra push over to crazy right now. :surfweb::lmao:

Day one

1) Slept
2) Ate a can of salmon for breakfast - ADRs anyone? :rotfl: Got to love DVC
for a can opener. Really I covet it.
3) Read on the BW porch
4) Had sex with a stranger
5) Drank rum and coke
6)Ate a BW bakery brownie and a fruit plate simultaneously
7) Trolled for male attention - isn't that cute? :rotfl: What a dream.
8) Watched the playoffs at ESPN
9) Drank a rum and coke
10) Went to bed

Days two, three and four - merely mix up the order. :lmao:;):lovestruc

Really it must be the gas. I'm really mentally gone.

TR. As soon as I can find my bloody camera hook up to download it's on. Could be in storage - could be at Jean's bros - could be held hostage by my father.

Oh Lord.

Oh Degrassi. Clerks, eh? It is Clerks where Mr. Smith professes his love, eh? Degrassi. The original came on Liz when I was at that age - aka older - when I was much too cool to watch it.

However, two summers ago my summer teaching ended - got me home - at exactly Degrassi - The New One (yes, I know that's not the name:lmao:) came on. And I was bloody mesmirized and hooked. So strange. 39/40 and hooked by teenager's drama. Every single day I would watch it after work before prep.

You know what the best thing about the show folks. No one is great looking - like models. That makes it work in itself.

Someone come and play with me before I die my slow gas induced death for God's sakes. Where the he!! are you all? Do you really want this to be my last memory? :lmao: Crazy talking to herself.

Cause we all know that hasn't happened before. :surfweb:

At least it's in a West Indian neighbourhood and can slightly smell me some curry goat. :dance3:
