In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

I hate shopping in the springtime because it is all floral and ruffles and girly stuff and that stuff just doesn't work on me.

Paula - so get this. You have spring fever to shop and refresh but nothing works.

so your buckeyes are going down!!!!

Hate speech! I'm reporting you.

E - sounds like a good weekend. The cake looked "so yummy, so yummy." Riley's food. Poor guy. He going to school today?

Hi to all. No much to report. Gotta get ready for work. I'll be on later.

Good Morning! My laptop died and I can't remember my password. So I registered as AKA SunnyB1066. Didn't have that thought until this weekend.
So for the challenge last week, I drank all of my water, tracked and lost another 1.4 pounds.

Hope everyone is doing well, I will try to catch up a little at a time, but they do expect me to work while I'm here......:confused3

Hi to all. No much to report. Gotta get ready for work. I'll be on later.

Sorry Lyz - it had to be said. I may not be a huge basketball fan, but I got support my boys.

LisaPR - please get some rest. It sounds like your body is screaming for a break.

This morning has been a bit of a bleh morning so far. Maybe that's a good thing since things have been a little crazy as of late.

Hope everyone is well...
Paula

PS - I am thinking of my new challenge goals. Waiting for inspiration to hit me...

Morning! I can't say "good" morning, since I was basically up all night. Ugh. Every hour or two Riley woke up. He finally settled down at 3am and slept straight through till 7. But of course, Jeff gets up at 3:30 (yes, everyday. Freakshow). So since I wasn't in a deep sleep when his alarm went off, I woke up yet again and catch this...HAVE BEEN UP EVER SINCE.

I am so tired I am nauseaous. Does that happen to anyone else?

And yes, he was fine when he woke up at 7, so he went to school. He wanted to go (he knows he'll get lots of attention being on crutches and all), but I am betting that I get a call half way through the day saying he wants to come home.

Just got back from Kelly's first grade play which was SO cute. OMG cute. It was all about the water cycle and evaporation, etc. and she was Water Drop # 6. And she did well and was really proud, so that was fun to see.

Challenge is starting TODAY since lots of us NEED it. You have all day to think of your goals, etc. Again, your goals can be whatever you need--exercise, pounds, water, tracking and I will figure out a way to make a chart even if everyone's goals are different. (And yes, I am aware I still need to post final results for the last challenge. Bite me. It'll get done.)

Going to try and get some work done so I can take a nap before heading up to campus. Yes, it's campus day on top of everything else!

Lisa--great job on the 14 miles! WOO HOO!

Did you catch that? RUN AROUND WORLD SHOWCASE! OMG, I would so love that!

10k = 6.2 miles (and walkers are welcome)
3k = 1.85 miles

So, all of us can do the 3k right now, no training needed for that. :thumbsup2 But with 6 months to train, the 10k is totally doable.

Erika Love you for posting the milage for that it puts it in a better prospective for me! Oh yeah that 3k I could do in my sleep I think.......?:confused3

Hi Gang...
Steph - how is the creek behind your house doing. Everything still dry?

Talk to you all soon,
Paula
Paula everything is still dry so far!!! Its about a foot from the bank with ice still packed on it! I think a few more days with the warmth it might start to break up a little. I know we had an ice jam already in downtown plattsburgh which they have reported that it is unusual.

So we had a good family weekend, minus SAm... of course she was off to this ones house and that ones house for the weekend! I said NO extra kids this weekend and I got my niece for friday night and then Sam spent the night there on Saturday night.

I now have a NEW nephew as of yesterday! This is the SIL that lost custody of her daughter to my MIL. She had another one, god help us! The text messages were coming in about how her labor was progressing and names that they had picked out.. the first name that came down was LINK.. I was like OK strange but OK her kid! Then baby was born and they picked another name Lance which would be fine if we didn't already have a lance in the immediate family my BIL's son is lance! THis is her own nephew and now son that have the same name. I told another SIL that it was stupid and you just don't do that. If they were distant cousins than fine like I have a Zachary and so doesn't my COUSIN michelle but they live in NC (by Kat) and yes my grandmother had 2 great grandsons named zac but they weren't 2 grandsons. YEAH I was on my soapbox all day with that one! Guess I still am. BIL mad and haven't even talked to my SIL to see how she feels about it. I'm sure she'll be pissed.

Watched paula dean yesterday and then cooked what she had made for dinner which got rave reviews. It was pot roast with cream of mushroom soup with red wine in it didn't have the wine though. Need to get some in the house. Mashed potatoes (homemade) and baby carrots and broccoli and cheese. Then we finished it off with apple pie and vanilla ice cream. I did really good and ate a small piece and had a small scoop of ice cream.
Ok off to eat breakfast and do laundry again... I swear that is all I ever do!

Hello gang! In a funk, but caffiene is slowly starting to run through my veins.

I think I need to schedule a day off. My co-workers haven't put in any of their time yet, so I have been waiting. AGH!!!! I'm taking 2 weeks this summer, so I didn't want to put in my requests until they had a chance. I have to cover the night shift for the specialist who hired after me and she has more time than I do. Gak!

Is anybody going to a Twilight DVD release party?? My boss volunteered me to go with his wife to one at Borders (which I would have gone without him suggesting it). She is very cool and he just doesn't get Twilight. The rest of the management team wants me to go too, so we have ammo to use against our boss. :lmao: Can you tell how we are at work???

Later taters

Sunny! Oh no! Sorry about your account. I bet they'll email your password to you, or a link to change it. Good job on the tracking and the pound losage.:cool1:

Sorry Lyz - it had to be said. I may not be a huge basketball fan, but I got support my boys.

Yeah, I don't follow basketball at all. Don't even know how they are doing, :rotfl: but! they have my loyalty.

Calm is good Paula.

See this is what happens when one freakshow marries another. :rolleyes1

Sorry about the lack of sleep. I need my sleep.

Prolly.

:rotfl:

LisaPR - ugh, your weekend sounded horrible.

LisaV - how's the kissing of spring going? Are you in your happy place.

Liz - You ready to get your green on? Tell me, what is the plan for Em to wear to school, cause I know you have something planned.

I'm on. All day.

Nancy - goat pics. Just sayin'.

Steph - agree. You shouldn't name cousins the same name. Why would you want to do that anyway?

Amiee - kick that funk to the curb. Forgot Twilight's coming out this week. I'm anxious to watch a legal version. I might like it.

Sunny - sorry about the lost password, but whoo hoo on the loss!!! That is awesome.

Steph - do people not think when they name their kids. Why knowingly put that kind of confusion in a family with repeated names? :confused3 (for Roddy). Got any leftovers? That dinner sounded yummy.

Amiee - take the day off. Call it car troubles... :lmao:

To all the Twilight fans - have fun and happy viewing with your new DVD's. I am still working my way through the book. Partly because I haven't had time to sit and read and partly because I am still not hooked (shocking - I know). This weekend looks good since I will be travelling and need something to occupy my time at the hotel.

Erika - enjoy your nap. Hate it when insomnia hits. Kelly as water drop #6 - too cute.

Liz - what is the plan for tomorrow? Since I can't celebrate St. Patrick's Day as usual, I am going to live vicariously through you.... m-kay???

Ok, this is funny! At the race yesterday, I mistakenly gave Jeff my chip and I had his. (I swear it was a total accident! TOTAL!) So now "my time" says that I did a 7:17 pace! :rotfl2: :lmao: Somehow, he is not finding the humor in this. :upsidedow

Steph - agree. You shouldn't name cousins the same name. Why would you want to do that anyway?
Yeah That is my point! Stephen said that his mother must have dropped her on her head one to many times! LOL:rotfl2:

It will be very confusing come christmas when we have Lance 1 and Lance 2 or BIG Lance and Little Lance! I guess it was HIS choice! BUt still she should had said NO My nephew is lance! One person per family with a name unless its a JR!
As for dinner yes there are left overs! COme on up remember take I-87 straight up NORTH to exit 40. What exit are you at??

Of course this would NOT be funny if I switched my chip with Mike's either.....:rolleyes1

Ok, I have to weigh in on the same name thing. We already had Kelly in the family when I had my Kelly. My brother--the one with 5 kids--he has a Kelly. So yes, my parents have two granddaughters named Kelly. We see them all the time, too. They are not distant relatives. We use their middle names so no one gets confused; Kelly Joy (mine) and Kelly Annette and that is how we refer to them at all family functions. Kelly Annette is older, 13.

But here's the thing. We ASKED. We asked everyone; my parents (would it bother them if there were 2 Kellys for gd's), my brother, my sister in law. And then we asked Kelly Annette, who was like 7 or 8 at the time. And she thought it was SO COOL. She loved the idea. So we went with it. And now that both girls are older, they both love it. It is so funny when they get together. It's like they have totally bonded over their name. Kelly Annette always sleeps with Kelly Joy when they come to visit, so they have this sign that they put on the door that says "The Kelly Room. You may only enter if your name is Kelly." They think it is SO funny. They laugh like crazy over that. And all sorts of stuff like that.

So it may not be that big of a deal. It can be done and work out.

Steph - I am about 20 minutes from exit 1 - yup, you read that right - exit 1. So it would be a long ride for dinner. Not impossible, but it may have to be a weekend kind of thing...

That is too cute about the Kelly room... When everyone agrees, it definitely works.

EriKa - why did the name Kelly mean that much to you?

BTW - Love the middle name Joy.

Because its the best, most awesome name in the whole wide world :lmao:

Sorry, Im in a silly mood today!

I am snowed under at work, only just got chance to take a break and quickly eat my lunch - its 4.20pm!

Over the next day or two it will be back to normal again, we've got a staff member off sick and one on holiday so its a bit manic!

Skimmed Milk - 1 point

Snack:
Apple - 0.5 points

Lunch:
WW Pitta Bread with WW tuna mayo and salad - 2.5 points

Not sure what is for dinner tonight - It is 24 tonight so im going to my mums to eat :lovestruc

Same names - My Grandad is called Roy. My dad (his son) is called Roy. My uncle (mums brother) is called Roy. Very confusing. I obviously call them grandad, dad and uncle but to people who use their names they are:
Big Roy (Grandad)
Little Roy (Dad)
Bald Roy (Uncle) - surprisingly, he doesn't mind this name! :rotfl2:

Erika - very cool on the race! Funny on the times!

Hi to everyone :wave2:

Sorry to hear you were up all night -- that stinks! Hope you get a chance to catch up tonight.

I am hopping back on my own plan today, after derailing yesterday. Stupid migraines make me just want to nibble comfort food (something salty) and drink wine and go to bed. Feeling much stronger today -- and I'm planning to try the 2nd level of the 30 day shred for the first time. Hubby tried it yesterday and when he came upstairs, he looked kinda soggy. :rotfl:

We had our St Patty's day dinner yesterday, since Tuesdays are way too busy to cook. We made corned beef and cabbage, and salad. Yum!!!!! I only get corned beef about once a year, 'cuz it's way too much fat and salt, but I enjoy every bite when I do.

Well, the family has been talking about summer plans, camps for DD, and stuff like that -- and the exciting part is that we have decided on a week in Florida at the end of summer!! We're trying to keep costs down, so we're planning on just using up a few extra park days we have on some old Disney tickets (I think they may have 2 or 3 days on them -- will have to check), and then buying the Universal Studios deal (7 days for $100). We still have to flesh things out a bit and I know August in Orlando is hot, but so is Baltimore, so we'll live. :hippie:

I'll be thinking about what I want to do for the challenge -- thanks for your encouragement, guys! Talk to you soon.

Same names - works if you check, are nice about it, and your family can roll. Me, I can't roll and I'd go ape sh$t if someone tried to "take" Emily from me. :lmao: At least I know my limitations, right?

But if they asked my kid, then that would be different. She could choose. And that's a nice way to do it.

Everyone is Nick in Nick's family. But, he alone has the right to name his kid Nick, bc he's the last in succession. But he had a girl. So haha. One of his cousins mentioned that it's sad the name - first and last - isn't going on. I told him he was welcome to have some boys and name them Nick! We'd give up right of first refusal!

Erika - hilarious about the chip.

Lisa Z - yummy dinner!

Sunny, welcome back!!!

The High Holy Day. Yes, Emily is wearing green. She wore an outfit to school today, navy pants (she only wears yoga style pants, all about the comfort) and a green shirt with white flowers on it. Kelly green, of course! Tomorrow she is wearing a tshirt layered over a white shirt, that has a shamrock and says "Tis Herself". My MIL bought it years ago, she loves that sort of thing. The Tis.

We are painting our nails kelly green, too, today.

I have about 5 green shirts to pick from tomorrow - I need two - my daytime one, my going out one. I will get up, hopefully weigh in and go to the gym - in green - and then do our errands, etc. Emily gets picked up at about 4pm and I head to the The Dublin House, which is a bar I've gone to since I was 18, where I had my birthday party this year, and where we have celebrated St Patrick's Day since 2000. This is our tenth time doing this! Jodi and I go early, leave by 8pm. She will leave earlier this year, because she can't stand bars unless she is drinking. So her husband will come and pick me up. Friends will meet us - two mom friends, one social going out girlfriend, and old friend, etc. We invite everyone we know.

And so I'll drink Guinness and be at Jodi's by 8pm to eat corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. She cooks them in butter all day long, but it's once a year. That's it. So I'll enjoy it.

LisaZ - level 2 shred? That's impressive. This is spoken by the one who bought the DVD but hasn't actually opened the box yet - I am bringing it with me to Long Island this weekend. The hotel we are staying in does not have a fitness anything so it is BYODVD.

Liz - so jealous that I am not going out for St. Patrick's Day that I'll be green with envy tomorrow night. I had corned beef over the weekend, but it was not the same as my mom's. She is saving me some tomorrow, but it is not the same as when it is fresh. Its a good thing that we do the corned beef dinner about once every 3 months so I won't have to wait too long to have it again.

:wave2: to everyone. Hope your day is going well.
