The past week's activities have officially caught up to me and I am exhausted. The guys in my office gave me some tooth picks to prop open my eyes so I could actually get some work done... I'll check in later this afternoon after I wake up....

UGH. But that is what I did yesterday....cleaned all morning then the pool for a quick dip to rinse off the grime, then to Riley's first soccer game of the season (they tied and he did well enough).

Anyways, the visit from my friend was a good one. I ate a little too much, drank a little too much, golfed a little too much and laughed way too much.... All in all, it was a good time. It was great to see him and catch up.

I have an interesting day planned. Both of the girls have cheer camp today (don't get me started...) so it will be just me and Riley. And that NEVER happens. So I am kinda psyched for that.

This week, well, it will have to be a busy one. School starts next week, and I have done NOTHING. Have to get the kids' supplies and oh yeah, get my a$$ in gear, write my syllabi, order my texts, and prep my courses which also start next Tuesday. SLIGHTLY freaking out.

Add to that I also have a Disney trip in 4 weeks...and have done NO planning. And OMG, lots to do. At least I can whip a Disney trip together in like 2 hours. Just have to sit down and do it. We are only doing Disney for 4 days, then we are going to an all-inclusive for the next 3 days. So this will be a bit different for us.

Good Morning Everyone! Lyz Glad to see that you will be Busy Dis'ing all morning.... I said I was off to do laundry the other day and guess what the suitcases from our Trip are still full and sitting in the living room!!! I sat here and DIs'd.
I am feeling quite tired too not sure why could be side effects from this med they said that was possible. Could be I worked my tail off this weekend too! Non stop all night! Heck I didn't get Dinner until 830 last night. I usually never eat dinner at work that late! Only because Cafe closes at 8. I had left overs chinese from the night before so I was good but NOT HAPPY! I couldn't believe how HOT it was Last night. I went out during my late dinner and I was hoping to cool off yeah right it was hot and humid. Then it was raining on my was home and it seems cooler today! I'd say it was 73 when I went to bed this morning and it is now 63. You would think because it was a NICE weekend that it would have been slow No way ! Everyone needed blood drawn!I ran from 3- 9 every night and then had about 3 draws between 9-11.
I have WW tonight Weigh in not sure how that will be TOM is here and I went hunting for salty foods this week so un-normal for me, I like the sweets usually. Lots of Pretzels.
Well off to put dinner in the crock pot.... Beef stew!

Just popping in. It is that kind of day...lots of running around. Had a really fun time with just Riley, so that was nice.

Did a painful 4.5 mile run. My stomach is totally in pain....no clue why??? Anyway, at least it is done.

I have a tennis match tonight at 5:30 and then I am taking my team out for drinks to celebrate the end of the season. It is technically not the end, as we still have a couple of weeks left, but this will be our last match before Labor Day week-end, so it is a good night to go out.

LYZ--my kids just got a bunch of new Webkinz. Have you seen the new ones??? SOOOO cute!

Hockey was a freaking KILLER tonight. It has moved to practices rather than a game, and geebus. I am definitely going to sign up to play with the women for the fall... they do a 1-2 hour practice or practice/scrimmage, and I have also signed up to do a tournament the last weekend in Sept.

T-4 working days... actually my boss is likely going to let me finish everything up on Thursday and not have to come in on Friday. Too bad all this appreciation and kindness didn't happen like 2 mos ago.

I went to my new company's company picnic on Sat... I am SO freaking excited about this job.

Good morning everyone....

I am assuming that since I am waking up the board this morning that Erika is home nursing her hangover from yesterday's bacchus.... (drink lots of water...)

I went to my weigh in last night and even though I gained 1.4 pounds, I was thrilled considering how off my eating habits were for most of last week due to my friend's visit.

I am working on a longer post with details of the weekend and such and will post that a little later in the morning. In the meantime, wake up everyone and have a great day....

Ok so I guess I missed everyone last night. I was on till about 1030 and then went and watched TV for a while ended up scaring the SH!T out of myself by watching the paranormal state or something like that on A&E. I ended up running up the stairs and of course jumping feet first into bed because I didn't want anything to grab my feet . YES I GET SCARED OF THINGS GRABBING MY FEET. YOU KNOW THERE ARE MONSTERS UNDER THE BED
So weigh in was OK. I didn't gain or lose an ounce. I stayed the same... which wasn't bad considering the it is TOM and I was on vacation last week and went to the FAIR haven't been tracking! MY mom on the other hand is getting really depressed because she keeps fluctuating between 25 and 27 pounds lost and is getting really frustrated. She said last night I just want to go have a good meal and pig out on something and I said GO AHEAD maybe that is what you need to do! You should have seen the look that I got from the WW person and my mom. BUt then karen the WW person agreed and said that it sounds like my mom eats the same stuff over and over again and that is why she is A. bored B. not having success C. is getting bad results she needs to mix things up a bit. THE WISE ONE I AM!!!!
In other news Ty let out fat cat last night to eat some grass and forgot to let him in. Now I never heard him crying at the door and When Stephen went to work this morning at 3:30am he was over by the farm, all wet and shaking. My poor fat kitty! He called him and he went running and jumped into the car and Steph brought him home and which point he ran for the food dish upstairs ....LOL nothing changes he was probable shaking because he had no food!!!!

Mornin all...

E and Lyz -
My B-day was spent from 9am-NOON at 3 football scrimages for Treyner over 1 hour away...then from 12-3 eating lunch - stadium food, driving to get Tupp flyers at my uplines who lives that way and looking at lake property I someday want to own but cannot at the moment... ...then driving back 45 minutes towards home for a soccer game that we got spanked at...(Treyner is really understanding the importance of him leaving his town teammates to play at the upper level he did for the past 2 years) and then flew to our town Blue/Gold Football game (10-12th graders play against each other to kick off the season) and got there as fast as we could after soccer to catch the last 2 quarters...Treyner played for the gold team..(changed in the car...can you say stink?) and ended up scoring the winning field goal for their team! Loser's had to man a car wash on Sunday to raise money for the program so he was treated like he just won the Super Bowl by his team...

Then watched a movie at home....so although I love my kids...a long day...litterally from 8am-9pm on sports...

Yesterday we went to the State Fair..all 3 kids...plus Dan....and had a great day...the boys split off a bit...Carsyn hung with us during that time..and we all had a blast...was there from 3pm-10pm...our fair is massive...and we still did not walk down every street....

Food:
#1 Massive pile of Worlds Greatest French Fries (voted by national rest. mag) that we all shared

#2/3 Sweet Marthas chocolate chip cookies (a small ice cream bucket for $12 hot and fresh and sooo darn good...followed by a run accross the grounds to the Dairy Milk expo...where it is all you can drink milk for a $1 (chocolate for Baylor...white for the rest....) which is still a great value...I had 3 cookies...about the size of a snack cup seal...as did Carsyn...the boys...finished the rest throughout our walk... I cannot handle that much sweets....The milk is the best tasting....love me some milk...

#4 We tried something new...We being Carsyn and I...and stopped at the Norweigen booth...and had..."HOTDISH ON A STICK"...it wasn't bad...basically is a stick with 3 meatballs...and tater -tots between...deepfried in a corn dog batter...with country gravy for a dipping sauce... will not buy again...but always willing to try something new each year....it is nice when you sample and split with someone...not too much...and you do not feel like ya splurged too bad...

#5 Then....Dan...spotted....

and we got 2 cones....Treyner/Baylor not thrilled..Carsyn and Dan loved and I ate 3 licks....

#6 We went to the International Bazaar...and found an olive bar...and Carsyn had a stick with 5 olives (jalepeno and garlic stuffed) and Dan and I shared one with garlic, onion, jalepeno, pimento and sun dried tomatoes....then he bought some Calammeta (sp) and Carsyn has a new fave

#7 We all shared a piece of Baklava....and that is it...

Not too bad ...no corn dogs, no cheese curds...no mini donoughts....deep fried candy bars or twinkies and Dan did not get his elusive freshly made salted nut roll...

We did share 4 glasses of pop total....but mostly had water....our friend is a volunteer St. Paul cop...and we got free tickets (saved $11 a piece...) and found a free street parking spot which usually is $10-20 to park on someone's lawn...so that was awesome!

The highlight though..was at the swine bar (thought of you Lyz) they give out free paper pig ears....Carsyn is much to cool for that...as is the boys...but she had her hair all in a cute loose bun...and Dan slipped the ring o 'ears around her bun...and we took pics...and she would not let anyone take them with her camera cause she is sooo good at holding it out....so she never could see the ears because they were far back on her head...we all dropped hints...."How old is too old to wear ears...why are people weird for wearing them...do you think people look silly with them on"...etc...but for 1 hour...through the cow barn, horse barn and walking...she had them on...she even messed with her hair a few times and never touched it...and then...we ran into Treyner's summer soccer coach...Casey....and Carsyn has always had a kinda crush on him (he is younger...just graduated from college) and after we walked away...she is feeling her hair...seeing what she had looked like...and she was like..."WTH"....and she was hot...we were laughing so hard we were crying at her...she was laughing but maaaad...one of those priceless moments as a parent to innocently embarrass your kid...she has no clue who did it...thought Dan was Rainman for not dropping the ears questions for 20 minutes...now understood it...and syas that we are all evil enough to do something like that to her...so she has no clue who to blame....bWAHHHH...

Carsyn could not find anyone to go with work, soccer etc...but I am glad it turned out how it did....

She is having friends go to the drive in for her B-day on Sat....so that will be an in-expensive good time...

Baylor has made almost $400 helping his friend move...so he is shopping for a dirt-bike....

Today is more school shopping for me & the kids - ($$$$$ ) then I have to WORK this afternoon. ACK! Such a nasty little 4-lettered word! I truly do love my job...(seriously)...but Labor Day thru Thanksgiving is INSANITY there. Apple-picking season....all the college & high school kids are back in school, and I'm the ONLY "full-time" employee. (other than the owner, of course)

So - yesterday I had to stop in at the High School. While I was there I ran into the gal who is the Drama Club director. She asked me about working on costuming for the plays again this year....ABSOLUTELY! I just LOVE it Then I find out that the fall play is going to be BEFORE Thanksgiving (ummm...see previous comment about my JOB!)

THEN - I get a phone call from the 4H Extension office. They need another female chaperone for the 4H Goat show at the Eastern States Exposition (locally we call it the Big E. It's tag line is "New England's Great State Fair). I really would LOVE to go (my sons are cringing however! ). That's 4 days - Thurs-Sunday at the end of September ....(see previous comments on my JOB and DRAMA CLUB).

PLUS - DH and I are already committed to a weekend away for Columbus Day (more on that later - that is SO MUCH FUN)....

So, what was it you said Lyz - "things will be better when...." If you ever figure out when *WHEN* is, let me know!

This is one reason I am glad my kids don't play sports.. I don't think I could keep up and I would be sad if I missed one because I had to go to the others. WE are a HUGE soccer town here too! State champs Like 5 times running for both Girls and Boys! It's kinda sad though because if you don't play soccer you are kinda a misfit here... none of my kids PLAY.
