Where I went yesterday: Well, here's the story. We got the camping spot. Now I need a camper rental. I call around and pretty much everyone is sold out. They tell me, "there is a fair that week." (ummm, yeah, that's why I need a camper.)
So last Friday, I find a camper for rent. And bonus, it's a brand new unit that hasn't sold, and they are moving it to the rental department. (Which for Bob and I is awesome, cause we are snobs about clean and other peoples germs.) I say, I'll have to call you right back. Talk to Bob and he's like, we should just buy one. Which I don't necessarily want to do. I want to take my time and find the right camper at the right price.
We spend the weekend scouring the internet and tradin' times for the right one. Monday morning I go to a town an hour away to a dealership to look around. I spent yesterday morning with "the master of the camper sale." He's all, "that's just what I do for my customers." "blah blah" (Maddi is with me and he lifts her on the top bunk) and tells me "how much he likes kids. 3 boys" "blah blah" "lemme tell you this and I'm not just selling you, I think camping is the best way for families to spend time, away from the phones and tv" and I'm thinking, buddy, this is probably gonna happen once and year and we will have phones, tv's and internet.
I'll cut to the chase. I drove to a remote town an hour away, listened to the pitch, drove back, and both, BOTH ways, I stuck, 3rd car back, behind someone who thought the speed limit was 30! I was literally jumping out of my skin.
And then, Bob says, well that's too much money. Just rent the camper you found. LAST WEEK. I literally just snagged it from a guy who was intersted but didn't put any money down. So, it was a long, well life really.
See, nothing exciting is going on, just stuff I have to do.
We weigh the hogs tonight. The fair is the first week of August. The one we take to fair will officially weigh in on Sunday August 3rd at 7am. Cross your fingers for tonight.
Snuff - the pictures were good. Sam is beautiful. And you call your mom, "mommy" - sweet. The house you want to buy, did the storms affect it?
