Hi Ladies! First, let me thank you for your well wishes and prayers and just thinking of me.
My sisters surgery went well as you know. It was scheduled for 5 hours, and when we saw the dr before surgery he told us, when I open her up, if it's not going to work, I'll not endanger her. I'll close her back up. We went and had breakfast then sat in the waiting room. Two hours went by and the dr walked up to my sisters entourage. (me, sister Em, mom, dad, Ali's husband and their very good friends (husband and wife), we were a spectacle.) The dr walked up and I thought "uh-oh" - I just knew the surgery didn't go. But it went very well. I've not gone into details, as they are very personal, but this surgery, we've been waiting for her to get for quite a while. She was avoiding it, as today was her 39th surgery and really, she's just so over being knocked out and cut open. But we pushed it thru as her quality of life was so suffering. The dr, he is just so awesome. He is thoughtful and really took good care of her. In his reasearch on her surgery today, he talked to many collegues and alot of them advised him to not touch her. I'm so thankful he did. He was worried about what he'd find when he opend her up, after all that work, but it was just smooth. She's in alot of pain right now, but still in good spirits. Her incision is right on her stomach and it hurts to laugh, but my family, that's what we do. I literally needed to be gagged. Ok, I'll quit going on and on, I'm on a high.
So glad things are going well.
I had the Boca this morning and it was very good! I'm not a vegetarian either, but they really seem to help keep the hungries away.
...
So glad to hear everything went well! As far as the Boca's go, they are awesome in the microwave ~ serious. Quick too!
Definitely agree. Lots of protein, too!
Yup, I do the same thing. Slit in the top of the plastic, nuke for 1.5 min. I did pan-fry one the first time and couldn't tell mch of a diff between that and the nuking.
T-2 days to WDW. And I haven't even CONSIDERED packing.
Btw, I am going no-beer and no-cheating for the entire month of Feb. I may go no-alcohol as well, but definitely no beer. The weekend of my hockey tourny I will likely up the cals a bit (like to 1800 or so) since I have 3-4 games in 2 days, but other than that, strictly to 1200ish.
But they spoke to her and she stopped. So she is brilliant and will be going to kindergarten. Yay. They say she loves school. Maybe I should leave her there longer, eh? I love going to Target alone!
I am amazed I got everything done yesterday running on zero. Anyway, I have made it to the gym with the girls and done my workouts as scheduled. I missed Tuesday partially due to an emergency road call from Mike and having to go get him. I was skiing and about as far from my house as I could possibly be. We went snowmobiling when we got home so I never got back to the workout.
I did 13 miles instead yesterday, 5 running, 5 walking and 3 elliptical. I am on track for my mileage at 25.13 for the week. I have a staff meeting today and won't get a workout in except for core later today. I will weigh in tomorrow morning.
I applaud all of you and the changes you are making.
I am usually packed about a month in advance. Seriously, not kidding....stop laughing....
See I made an attempt at reading but my head is just so full right now (not congested that would be easier) and I will not be around much for awhile. I miss you all though. Keep up the great work and think of me once in awhile!!

Can you get on and READ even if you can't post?
I prefer to pan-fry them, but am too impatient to wait. SO. I slit the top, put in the microwave for 1 min to get it "started" ....then throw it in the pan to finish.
I never pack until the evening before we leave. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that my laundry is never quite ready until then
I do, however, try "gather" things that I need...but with
) holy crap was that hard. At one point she told me to go faster - and I flipped her off !
