In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Hey,

We're all posting at the same time.

Lyz - so happy you had a nice day. So happy. Those girls are blessed to have you. Your love for Christmas and other holidays will be what gives them happiness now and years and years in the future. Children love traditons.

Amy - isn't Jillian something. I love how one feels like you just did some intense workout. I love that feeling.

Yeah on your race #. Very exciting.

I have a funny story. Sometimes my students react very strongly when they realize I'm not married and without kids. Like my life is somehow sad. It's hard for immigrant woman to hear it. Very difficult - they look at me like I'm an alien. I am sad about motherhood but I'll be fine. So a couple of weeks ago this older woman from Afghanistan says, "Why Lisa?' so without going into my life story I say, "well no one has asked me!" with a smile. So she says in a strong voice in front of the rest of the class "Well I'll ask you! I'm asking you. I'll marry you Lisa!!!" :scared1: :lmao: :rotfl: And I'm thinking ummm I don't think your husband or grown children will go for that somehow. :lmao: :rotfl: . They're so funny.

I never thought about that Lisa. I bet people do feel sorry for you. That makes me sad. I didn't feel sorry for you cause I didn't see you in that light.

How exciting. Lyz fill us in woman.

Ok. So E called at like 9. She was headed to town. Kelly (her youngest) woke up hysterical cause she didn't want momma to go.

She and her husband had a misunderstanding, (about papers that "not" where they were supposed to be. (even though they were. normal marital crap.)) So when he called, EriKa started biting his head off and he was calling to ask her to lunch. Guilty! And of course she didn't have time for lunch, she didn't even have time to pee, but she needed to go, right. It was her husband!

Then her dad was in the hospital yesterday with foot complications and she had to run her mom to the hospital.

She had another dinner to make, cause she made all 4 days of dinners (good wife).

She had a meeting with the President of her university.

Missed her long run this week.

Hadn't even gotten her suit case out!

OMG, it was boom boom boom, everything was happening.

Lisa- I'd love to send you a card (and anyone else too!)

Lyz-Great Job on the shopping!! We got delena's last gift tonight (her play kitchen) and just a couple things for the parents and my grandma and it's done.

Liz-So glad my weight loss update was helpful. :goodvibes It helps me too to write it down.

So like 35 days from tomorrow ( I think), erika and I will be running the 1/2!! Unfortunately that high of a bib number means I am WAY WAY WAY in the back. Probably will take a 1/2 hour to cross the start.

Amy and Liz - I bought Twilight today. (At Target I must add.)

But, I have, have to finish the Clique books first. It won't take me long. But I am a tidy reader and can't start one series before the next. You understand? And they are small.

I am *shocked* at the size of Twilight. I keep thinking of it as a tween/teen book, it so isn't packaged that way. Oh and my copy has a picture of Robert (is that his name?) and Co on the front. My daughter (who saw Twilight) loved that. She already started it.

Lyz..I think Twilight is the shortest of the 4. breaking dawn is one ginormous book!!

The other ones won't have Edward pictures yet...:sad2: :sad2: New Moon has a flower, eclipse a ribbon and breaking dawn has a chess pawn...Obviously I need something else to obsess over. :rolleyes1

I keep forgetting to post some good job news. I got confirmation yesterday from the State of FL that I met all requirements and will be receiving my Medical Lab Technologist license in the mail soon. So, after the 1/2 in January, I will probably start looking around. Luckily there are plenty of jobs and I can be picky about hours, which lab etc...

Here are my Christmas Decorating Pics.

First I must start with last years tree. Which never did get ornaments. I just couldn't get to it. I must have been super depressed.

Now for 2008:

Proving we are white trash and have an inflatable in the front yard.

Tree. New. Fake. Halfprice. Slim. I like it.

Mickey Tree topper. In 1995, we went to my uncles house for Christmas. He is a Disneyphile also. He had this Mickey topper on his tree. I loved it. He took it right down, boxed it up and insisted I take it. I love it.

Mickey, couldn't leave him out.

Hubs Hallmark (complete to date), collection of car ornaments

And finally, my bathroom Christmas tree. It totally isn't necessary. BUT, it annoys my husband who "just wants to brush his teeth".

Hey Gang...update from the road here! In the Orlando airport, on my laptop, waiting for Erika's plane to arrive and Kat's car to drive up!

Can you believe it's here?

Thank you...I am down 75lbs, still. 237 to 160...77 I guess, but let's say 75. That is still awesome. I am proud of that!

Thank you for reminding me. :flower3:

Thanks Lyz. Erika, that's quite the few days. All the best to your father. Hope everything is okay.

And  to Kelly.

Happy mom - happy kids. That's my take.

Lyz,

Loved the room in general. Love the paint colour/color (one day I'll get over this Am/Can thing:rotfl: - can we say perfectionist issues still here. Yes, we can) and the white together. It's so "clean" looking.

Just spent more than 2 hours assembling DD's kitchen. Holy crap. It's a good thing it is the only assembly required thing we bought.

Lyz-Loved all of your pictures! I hope to post mine by the end of the weekend.

Glad to hear everyone is arriving safely in orlando!
