In room safes at Yacht Club

Good morning,

As a single mom, I spend alot of time worrying about what if I lose something. I've already decided that I will take my room key, ID and a small amount of cash into the parks each day. But where should I leave the remainder of my travelers checks and credit cards. Should I use the in room safe or do the resorts have safes behind the front desk? I always worry about how trustworthy the in room safes really are.
