Yet another question from the Cruise Newbie...........

How big is the in-room safe?
Would it be big enough to hold a laptop? I know that DH and his laptop are joined at the hip, so I'm hoping that the laptop can be locked up.
If it's not, are there safe deposit boxes available for rental at the bursers desk, or wherever?

TIA!

No it would not hold a lap top, It is big enough for jewelry, documents and money/travelers checks. I would not be concerned about leaving it locked in your stateroom though. We have expensive camera equipment and never thought twice about it. No one can get in your cabin except your room steward and you and they would never risk their job to steal a lap top. WE have even left cash on the dresser and never had it touched. For most CM's this job is VERY important to them, they just wouldn't do it.

No....the in room safe is about the size of a small toaster oven. We've been on 2 Dis cruises an have left $$$ and other valueables in the room with no problem...ever.

We left our portable DVD player, which is the size of a laptop out on the desk, and we never had a problem. I would say your belongings are very safe in your room.

Thanks Everyone!!!

You all are fantastick!! Maybe I'll finally be able to convince DH to do a cruise. He was 28 years in the Navy, and he keeps saying that he's done enough cruises to last a lifetime.

I'm still trying to convince him though.........
