In Room Christmas Trees?

We are sailing on one of the December "Merry Time" cruises on the Magic. I see that you are able to order 21 inch decorated trees for your staterooms. There are 2 options, one with characters and one without. I'm thinking our kids would love these but they are a little expensive. They sound really cute but I'm just wondering if anyone has ordered one of these before and could share their experience. Wondering where they put them in the stateroom, how the quality was, and if they were difficult to take home?

I sailed over Christmas on the Magic last year and splurged on the character tree since we actually did b2b2b for 11 nights. They are nice trees and smell amazing. Ours was on the little table when we walked into the room, but I moved it onto the top of a cabinet so it wasn't in the way. You can remove the ornaments and take them but the tree cannot be taken off the ship since it is a live tree. We are sailing over this Christmas on the Wonder and my son (12) said we didn't need a tree this year.

Does anyone know if you can bring your own holiday tree onboard?

I would love to see the photos of the ones for this year. I'd love to splurge as well since this will be our very first Disney Cruise and for Christmas. Plus the smell of a fresh tree in our room would be an added bonus! :goodvibes

So if anyone gets one please post photos! TIA

I'd also love to see the Christmas bedrunner package as well.

The picture under in room gifts is exactly what the tree looks like, I have pictures of mine but sadly I can't remember my photobucket nor was I ever good at posting from it lol

Not sure how the pictures look on your computer but on mine... they are teeny tiny. :sad2: Which is why I was hoping for a more "life sized" photo.

Me too! I was just Google searching in hopes of finding one but no luck.

I was just at Target and they have little mini-trees in the $ section for about $3 and if you wanted it lit I have seen places that sell small strands of lights that are battery powered those might be allowed for lights. I have gotten small mini trees at craft stores before too, so you wouldn't have to go to target. I have taken my own tree to WDW when we were there for the holidays and I made ornaments out of paper and pipe cleaners so they didn't take up a bunch of space or weight in my suitcase.

It's a lot of money. But we're 2 adults, no kids, and thinking about doing a 2017 Christmas cruise that would be our total holiday celebration together -- so the in-room tree might be the kind of thing we'd splurge on.

If anyone has pictures bigger than the one on the order form, I'd love to see them.

Well I went ahead and splurged on it as this is our very first cruise... and my Birthday & Christmas gift to me & DD. So I will be sure to take photos and post when I return. I just want easy... and not have to lug too much from the West Coast if I was already in Fl or nearby... Different story. :thumbsup2

Do they still have the gingerbread house making time?

According to the Merrytime Christmas Cruises page they do. I hear from past cruisers it should be one of the first things you sign up for when you board the ship, as there are limited spaces available. Which is also why I got one of the early PATs. Mama has plans. ::yes::

I looked at the link from one of the PP and it appears that the little Nautical tree had lights on them and a cruise ship ornament. Can someone let me know if that's still the case? That would be GREAT if those came on it. :goodvibes

Our cruise is not until next December, I hope they do it then, and will sign up for sure!

That would be wonderful if you could -- have a TERRIFIC cruise & birthday!

You have to sign up first thing. You also cannot take it off the ship. No unsealed food through customs :(
