For at least one of the nights we are staying at GC, DL is open until midnight. With time difference, we expect ds8, ds6, and dd2 to be in bed by 8pm. Are there any babysitting services in the area similar to Kids Nite Out at WDW? Thanks in advance!

The GC has their own childcare center, "Tucked away in a corner of the Grand Californian Hotel, Pinocchio's Workshop provides child care in a group setting seven days a week from 5 p.m. to midnight. The center accepts children ages 5 to 12 and the hours of this special babysitting service are also 5:00pm to 12:00 Midnight." http://www.disneymouselinks.com/Pinocchios-Workshop.aspx

Because of this, I don't believe they have any other disney sponsered service. There are services that will do in room sitting. I think if you do a thread search you'll find more info on that.

Pinocchio's Workshop adheres to California State Social Services requirements for child care centers. The maximum capacity for the center is 12 children; and the center maintains a minimum staff- to- child ratio of 1 to 12

We used them twice in January (DS had so much fun the first night he wanted to go another night!) Barbara ( very nice former teacher) was working both shifts and helped him feel comfortable and even let him take a tour the day before he stayed there. DS had the storyteller one night and Josh did music the second night for the kids. DS had dinner which was ordered from WWS and was only a $5 charge to his stay. He thoroughly enjoyed Pinocchio's and we will definitely do it again on future trips.

That won't work for the OP, though, as she has a 2 year old.

Services for Children
Includes:

* a child activity center
* in-room babysitting
* learning programs

(nominal fee for services; subject to availability).

Since you're staying there, call Vacation Planning and find out the cost!

Molly got to it first. Her daughter is too young. I believe their min age is 4? I would def call ahead and ask and see what services they can offer you. :)

The Disneyland Resort doesn't have in-room babysitting, however, you can ask for a list of bonded people who can watch your children at the front desk.

When I was staying at the DLH when my kids were much younger, my daughter made friends with a little girl who was being watched by one of these sitters. I chatted with her and she told me that Disney was very careful who they had on the approved list.

I was given info for Sitters Unlimited of Orange County at the GCH and have used them twice. Most recent time was about 8 months ago and we had a really nice lady named Kathy who I'd recommend.
