In ROFR, first time DVC potential owner

I'm with you in ROFR! The wait is torture. We submitted May 9th, so I am crossing my fingers hard that we hear back by the end of this week (which will be our third week). I saw a couple that came back in just over two weeks recently!

Lets hope that would be nice :thumbsup2

We are expecting baby number 2 which is due any day now so I was hoping I would hear before hand so I can get everything together and done before our baby girl gets here

If it makes you feel any better, I'm still waiting to hear back on contracts that I signed on April 10 and April 19. Yes, you read that correctly. Let's just say that there were some, er, unforeseen delays. :)
That kinda sucks. I don't recall if you'd mentioned these elsewhere. What is the story with those contracts? I'm fascinated by all these stories.

Just heard today we passed ROFR. Offered on May 3rd accepted on May 6th, went to Disney the same day, 23 days from offer till we passed ROFR for a studio at OKW.

One was an overseas seller. The other was a personal situation that I don't really want to mention out of respect to the seller.

But good news...I found out today that I passed ROFR on both!

Congratulations, guess you are having a real good day :thumbsup2 :cool1:

You give me hope that maybe I will hear by the end of the week! We are at 3 weeks today :)

We are on 3 weeks tomorrow so praying I hear a little something.

Congrats to all of you who passed thats :cloud9:

So we received the good news last Tuesday that Disney waived and we are good to go, that was day 30 for those counting. Still no closing documents to sign a week later, curious how long it has taken others to get their closing documents to sign and submit with payment?

We passed last Tuesday and got our closing this morning.

You could call and see what's up. Can't hurt. Good Luck!

It can take up to two weeks for the title company to get the estoppels from Disney on the contract. That step has to happen before they send you your closing docs.

We closed on June 6th, Disney got the paper work on June 13th. I called yesterday and they were still working on sales from June 7th.

I decided to give them a break today but I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning :)

Exactly the same as us! Unfortunately husband is working abroad this week so been a lot of sending e-mails, printing, signing and scanning but think I am all sorted and just about to pay up!

CONGRATULATIONS! We'll have to (cyber) hold hands through the next week (or two ugh). I've never been so excited to part with money before :rotfl:

Have you started planning for your first trip? I'm hoping for some pixie dust for late Sept/early Oct. pixiedust:

FYI: the ink hasn't even settled on the paper and I started looking for a new contract this morning . I think I feel add-on-itis starting.

I already have a trip booked with husband and son for October but have promised my daughter that she can use the points to visit with a friend before heading off to university so she is very keen to see it all sorted!

I think if I mentioned another contract now my husband might just give up on me and my Disney mania!;)
