Today (right now, DH is calling me to go) we are headed to Gatorland (didn't make it yesterday since we met up with friends and stayed at Blizzard Beach all day) then to Typhoon Lagoon for cool off, then to RIpleys tonight.

THe girls want to do some DIsney shopping.....and more pin trading.

So sorry I haven't been keeping up. Right before our trip, my Mom had an accident and has been in and out of the hospital since then. It was hard for me to leave. I discussed with my parents and they said they'd be upset if I canceled the trip. We had a great time and were in touch constantly. Thankfully, my sister was around.

I am so glad that you are all enjoying!! Keep doing so!!

How much longer will you be there?

How can it be Sunday already?

We spent this morning at Typhoon Lagoon (we love that waterpark!) and are making a pitstop here at our "home" so I can get us "A" boarding on Southwest since we have to come home tomorrow. In 24 and 1/2 hours, in fact.

Tonight we are going to Arabian Knights dinner show!

After I get our boarding passes, we are going to Happy Hour at Steak N Shake (so conveniently located near this vacation villa) for yummy milkshakes. This will be our third "happy hour" trip (they have it every single day!)
My favorite is special dark chocolate. I had the Butterfinger and the Hot Fudge something or other, but Special Dark remains the best!

We are home, the house was 89 degrees when we got in, it is now cool enough to sleep, thank goodness. My children are still all outside re-connecting with their friends in the neighborhood, and it is 10:45! They are all going to be tired tomorrow, lucky for them they can sleep in since they are no longer on vacation!!!

I think I told you of DH's and I's visit to the canyon. It is hot, and NOTHING like Disney, just be forewarned!!! (no space mountain or even countrybear jamboree, just preparing you!)

I know your mom is a regular to Vegas so I am sure she will know lots of great things to do! My friend was just in Vegas this month, she stayed at New York, New York.

Dad and I are at The Venetian and Mom is at The Flamingo (free rooms at both). I know that it won't be anything like Disney but I'm excited to see new parts of the world! As much as I love Disney last trip was really less than magical and it has put a sour taste in all of our mouths. I am excited for our January trip but I think that is because Alicia is coming along and we're going to Universal for 2 days.

Thank you for the good wishes! My Mom is doing better but is stuck at home for weeks. Will need a skin graft when all is better.

When we got home, it took more than a day to cool it off. We got back right after the heat wave.

Oh, my goodness! IT is SO near me! DH works in Zelienople (he has about a six minute commute to work each day). Did you eat at the Kauffman House? Pizza Hut? Surely not the Country Kitchen (I hope!)

THere is a world famous candy store, Baldingers in Zelie. It has been featured on the Travel Channel. You can get anything there, from retro to chocolate covered grasshoppers and ants (not that your SHOULD get those things).

If I had reached out my arm I could have touched you! (well, not from Florida, but from my real house!)

at least my dining room didn't leak! Good thing we got that fixed before vaca!


DS got a call to quote a landscape job, and he taught private swim lessons today.

DD14 got a call to babysit Thursday nite.

The DD's have been enjoying visiting with their friends, who missed them very much. They gave everyone Disney hats (outdated ones, as a joke, and because they were really cheap) Happy St. Patrick's Day 2010, Baby Minnie, plaid minnie ears, mickey ice cream treat with the popsicle stick sticking up between the ears......DH and I got bride and groom ear hats, just because.

I just finished Water For Elephants today. It was an AMAZING book! They're making it into a movie with Rob Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. Next up is Eat, Pray, Love.

That is a good deal! DQ is just outside the town, the town is cute, quaint, with neat old fashioned lightposts and old fashioned looking stores.

I liked Water for Elephants, too! I am reading Isle Hildebrande's books now, finished The Castaways and started A Summer Affair last night. I finished Ann Brashere's (author of Sisterhood of Travelling Pants) book "The Last Summer" on the flight home. It started slow but got much better. At first I was thinking she should stick to writing kiddie lit.
