Took the DD's shopping today.

to the mall



I hate the mall. It was horrible, as I anticipated.


WE got precious little...new bookbags, but not much more. I think we are done! The DD's don't really think we are.

DD11 was fine shopping

and then ate that big ole lunch

followed by dessert onthe way home

dinner, minutes ago, was chiccken noodle soup

It is so humid here today...

DS works 12-7 at the pool, bet he will be busy

wanted to do some landscape work (trimming shrubs here) but it is too humid to even think about that hot scratchy work!

DH had to fly to Texas for work troubles...
spur of the moment
he found out and left within 12 hours

he'll be back Saturday

DH and I went to a local casino for the first time this weekend

They had a "Man vs. Chicken" promotion going on, and I really wanted to play, but you had to win the chance.

It was amazing to me how many people don't knowhow to play tic tac toe!(that is what you play against the chicken)

We didn't win any money
but just used the free promo money (me) and DH lost $20 of his own $$

It actually wasn't too hot! I was even a little chilled at the Grand Canyon! You have to be 21 to gamble in Vegas so I couldn't do anything, but that's OK I still had A TON of fun! Dad is already planning my 21st birthday there

One casino here is age 21 and one is age 18. There are more but I don't pay my Indian taxes there so I have no idea the age to get in.


It was even hot and muggy here. was even sweating, I bet. ( just to keep it in the casino theme)

Oh, and I wager Was40 will remember the nacho/pizza lunch combo is a bad bet. Glad she is feeling better.

BTW: DD11 has completely recovered

I allowed a three friend sleepover last night (one kid for each of my kids) and was thinking if ANYONE got sick.....well, I can't really type what I was thinking but thankfully it did not happen!


I am in sleepover hell today though......this was definitely the LAST sleepover of the summer, perhaps the last sleepover ever.
DH never allows them, but he is out of town
and I apparently lost my mind!

and wants me to entertain him, I guess



all three sleepover friends are STILL HERE, by the way




obviously I failed to set up groundrules and leaving times yesterday
