Just came back from watching The Switch.

Ah, I got busy with back to school and missed PAD's ramblings and Judi's grey hair.
How was the movie, i ?

I have 25 students this year.

It was in the nineties today (and more hot days forecast for this week)
It was sweltering.
I was not a bit happy by afternoon. We were sweating just sitting in our chairs with three fans circulating the hot air thru the room.
Definitely NOT fun!

I need a cool off trend !

and I broke a nail today, turning on the fan?? Not sure how that happened exactly, but now I have non~same length fingernails....

Today was "Meet the Teacher" for my DD11.
Her teacher is brand new to the district this year, taught last year in a private school.
She is young and seems very eager and sweet.
I think DD is going to have a great year!

First day of school for the was40 kids tomorrow!

DS will be a SENIOR~
DD14 is a FRESHMAN
and DD11 is heading to sixth grade.

DD14 has a babysitting job after school each day
she has to get a kindergartener and fourth grader off the bus and walk home
and entertain them for an hour or so

ten dollars a day!!!!
She is already counting her chicks before they hatch

Heading over to the dollar store now to get some envelopes for school tomorrow.
We are going to write to towns in different states to get the cool postmarks that go with the kids names,
for example: Logan is writing to the town of Logan, Nevada
and Billy Smith is writing to Smithville, Wisconsin....

We have 51 students this year,
so all states will be represented

the extra one I am giving a repeat of PA to our newest Chinese student. This girl needs three hours per DAY of English as a Second Language, so I think that even though we study PA, she will do fine to just learn more about it! She speaks english but has no idea what many words are (example today for lunch was hot dog on bun and B-U-N was unknown to her!)

DD14's teeth were/are beautifully straight
her issue is the bottom jaw "grew" and now the alignment is off
top and bottom will get bracketed again
and rubber bands to correct the meshing of the teeth

I didn'[t make the appt untill AFTER school picture day
which has made 14 very happy
well, very is maybe too strong a word

snacking and ready for bed on time

probably wont' sleep a wink
so excited for first day of school tomorrow

gotta get back to packing lunch for DD11
